Went in for some lunch. It was a Monday during the cheeseburger fest and think it had been a long weekend. We were told they were out of a certain beer and pretty sure we got it when we ordered something different. The waitress kept forgot the lettuce, tomato, pickle for my burger. She also gave me the wrong change for a $20 so I could play pull tabs (that were very low on choice). Will most likely try again. Our host recommended and was miffed the service was what it was. On vacation. Up here for the weekend. Had terrible luck with places in Port Austin so we tried this bar. We spent two hours waiting for a salad and pizza. I understand it's a Saturday night and it got a bit busy. The pizza came out after we waited over an hour and before the salad. Not to mention it wasn't the Cherry salad we ordered. It didn't have the beets I asked for and it was a pretty small salad for $15. The young server was super nice and kept apologizing. Then in the end went to see if she could do anything for us. I went to the Blue Water for the last Saturday of Cheeseburger. What an absolute pleasure. As we walked we were greeted by the hostess/security, Penny. She proceeded to take a wonderful family pic with the camera attached to her shirt. We were fortunate enough to find open seats at the bar, a rarity anywhere in Caseville during Cheeseburger. Jill immediately took our order, with a smile I might add, and our drinks were promptly available. We placed our appetizer and food order at the same time, noproblem for the Bluewater. Appetizer arrived and just when we got finished our dinner was there hot and ready. The food was fabulous and presentation spectacular. We finished our meal and Jill closed our tab. .As we left,we were somewhat sad leaving Jill's happy face and warm personality. My friends and I decided to give Blue Water Inn a go yesterday. On the first Saturday of cheeseburger festival & we're BEYOND disappointed. Normally I don't like to leave negative reviews especially because I am aware of how busy & chaotic these restaurants can be during the festival... but with that also come great opportunity to show your guests the quality of your food and service. That was not the case yesterday; to start off our server was incredibly rude to all 4 of us making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. They failed to give our appetizer before our meal, and our food was honestly just gross and FREEZING. My friend ordered the famous B's Big Mac cheeseburger and the Mac and cheese was ICE cold, my fries were cold and soggy; when we brought it up to our server she LAUGHED and told us the kitchen doesn't care and always leaves the food cold.... Interesting choice to admit that to paying costumers. What's disappointed me the most was the shift of quality at atmosphere, last year we were blown away by how delicious and fun the restaurant was but this year it did not compare. I love to give other restaurants a try aside from beachy's... but after my experience I'd say you're better off just going to beachy's. read more

We stopped in here specifically for the fish because we were walking around town earlier in the day and saw a sign on the window that said "Friday fish fry" and it was a Friday . The waiter was very friendly but didn't seem to have a clue what we were talking about. He said there is a fish basket if that was what we were talking about! It was on the menu as a perch dinner. It appears to always be on the menu so I'm not sure what the sign on the window is all about! The waiter originally offered fries or baked potatoes but later said they didn't have any baked potatoes. He also offered coleslaw or cottage cheese. The order seemed to take a long time but it was fine and the fries were hand cut. I rarely eat fried fish so it was a bit mediocre for my taste. Local bar, very casual. Has Lotto, pool table, outside deck on back. Food is pretty good. We come here fairly often. Pizza is great, lots of cheese, good price.. Most weekends some live music. They also have a small salad bar. The only thing I don't like is that they add 3.5% to your tab if you pay by debit or credit card, so try to take cash. I added this to my list of regretful decisions in life. If you don't want to read my entire review, I can summarize it for you; don't bother with this place. After my food arrived she never came back to see if I need anything, which I did. Probably one of the most unfriendly waitress I have ever encountered. An average sized meal came up to just shy of $17 which I ordinarily would not mind but I would expect the quality to match the price, which it fell quite short. Don't bother trying to order your burger anything other than shoe leather, hamburger buns were stale, chips were wet (why?!?) and fries tasted like they were defrosted and fried last week. Additionally, this 'restaurant's' award winning cheeseburger is made with processed cheese (seriously are we still in the 80's?) and their blue cheese bacon burger comes drowning in blue cheese DRESSING. We should have just sent it back. Disgusting and misleading. Service is slow, wasteful culture is apparent with plastic utensils and cups and paper menus. Patrons are overserved and rowdy (at 6:30 on a Friday) and the whole place could use a thorough cleaning. Dear Todd and Dawn, please reconsider the impact you have on the health of your patrons and the future of our land. I understand it's a bar and bar food, but you are charging $8+ for a burger...try substituting in some real ingredients so maybe your staff doesn't have to overcook, fry or drown everything. I would leave zero stars if possible. First got yelled at for bringing a plastic cup of water in. No outside drinks allowed.
