My boyfriend and I stopped in Tuesday afternoon for a bite to eat after having a beach day in Port Austin. The service was great and it wasn't busy at all. Unfortunately the restaurant was out of many items and ingredients and the bartender said they have been out of some since the 4th of July. My boyfriend had a burger while I ordered pulled pork sliders. They were out of slider buns so they gave me a hamburger bun instead. Delicious food regardless. The fries were probably the best I ever had. My boyfriend's burger was nothing to write home about. And the chips that came with his meal was past stale. We told a gentleman how delicious his pizza looked and he gave us a slice. Definitely getting the Detroit pizza the next time we are in the area! read more

Their outdoor patio is top notch. Pirate-themed, there's a pirate ship bar and tons of skeletons. Plus colorful umbrellas for shade, and tons of games: giant chess, giant twister, a putting green, and cornhole! A perfect patio for enjoying drinks in the sunshine. The inside is fine. A standard restaurant with wood paneled walls and a bar. They do have a pool table. Food menu is diverse and on the more reasonable pricing side. It was also delicious! Service was good, especially when 110 bikers ended up coming in! Cons: Despite the large menu, we were told we could only order certain items which was a bummer because a burger sounded good. Funky tasting Oberon, undercooked pizza, inch of water on the floor from a dripping a/c. It was next to our hotel so it was convenient. But the food was not great and there's something wrong with the air quality here. It smells like manure or a septic system here. The jukebox music is good and there's a pool table to entertain us, so they get 2 stars. read more

Wonderful people! Loved the drinks and chips after a day at the beach for a quick pick menu meal. Bring kids to play with the pirate themed stuff outside. Stay away from the spring rolls though, taste like gordon foods and a microwave. read more

My husband and I have walked past this place so many times, and today we finally decided to stop for some light food after the farmers market. We sat outside in the "pirates cove" area. It was a nice, whimsical atmosphere and our server, Andrew, did a great job, especially with how busy it got. The pricing was VERY reasonable! We got two mixed drinks, a beer, an app, and a sandwich for all under $50! These were some of the best beer battered pickles, the mixed drinks were delicious, and the Reuben was very good! This bar was the only place still open in town after a day on on the beach till the sun went down, so we walked into the place in search of pizza and maybe a few drinks. Not only were my sister and I the only customers wearing masks, but even the bar tenders didn't have masks on. It was disconcerting to say the least for no staff to be wearing masks at a bar in a tourist town in the middle of a global pandemic. That alone felt pretty sketchy, but the inside of the bar was honestly pretty dingy as well. We stood at the counter to order and the bar tenders ignored us for around five minutes. We got dirty looks from several other customers and staff, maybe for wearing masks or maybe for having dark skin? It's tough to discern if they were truly racist but they definitely didn't put in any effort to make us feel welcome so we left. POC, beware of this establishment. read more

They have delicious Perch and cod dinners as well along with wraps, Philly's, homemade chips and fries, quesadillas and real chicken tenders. Everything is fresh from the community. Unfortunately due to the coronavirus they are temporarily closed during the week. They are doing carry-outs if you hit up their Facebook page they try to put the days and times to keep people as updated as possible. Right now it says they are open this week Thursday-Saturday 12p-8p. I'd definitely look up their menu and try them out. This restaurant used to be one of our favorites. Just finished a super disappointing $75 meal. We totally understand inflation but it also didn't excuse poor cooking or in this case reheating Mozz sticks: 3/6 were formed together with cheese bursting out. They were dry and the marinara sauce was super thick, chunky at bottom of the container. Chicken tacos: super salty, no seasoned pulled chicken. This wasn't the worst but more like a chicken wrap Chicken wrap: this was just sad and small. Fries: they were underdone, under seasoned, limp. Waste of money Wings: Dry. Dry. Dry. Complete waste of money. Pizza: this was the only redeemable part. Not bad. Not great though. Ranch: definitely not made in house and not a good brand. We sat outside, it's a nice day after all. The waitress was rude, limited food and drink options. We ordered a cheeseburger and chicken kabobs. When the food was delivered, she didn't even bring silverware. The chicken kabobs had maybe 3 pieces of small chicken on them, and when asked for onion and pickle for the burger, we were told they didn't have any of that outside, even though we watched another server take a plate of exactly what we asked for (pickles, onion, tomato and Mayo). Hello fellow dinners, Well the Lake Street Local isn't what it was when it first opened, the pizza was just like the Sportsman had, now it has changed, went inside to eat a couple of weeks ago with not many people insiders still waited for over an hour, We ordered again last week and the we had to get more sauce and it could have had more cheese, the sausage tasted like old sliced breakfast links, had to pick them off. We had gotten a tip that this was a good place to get perch. Boy were they wrong! Terrible food and terrible service. From the moment we arrived in the patio area, the wait staff treated us like it was a a real hassle to help us. Nothing we ordered was fresh and and it took forever to get it. Multiple times we ordered drinks and they never arrived. They also did not inform us that they charge for water! We didn't know until we got our bill will a lovely extra $5 tacked on. The fried pickles were not fresh and clearly their fryer was not hot enough when they dropped them in, because they were just soggy and gross. The perch was the worst food-wise. All three orders of perch at our table tasted like the bottom of a river and were full of bones. Again, the breading was soggy and not crisp. It seems like the perch was old! The pizza that we had ordered took forever, only to be informed that they had served it to someone else by mistake. Then when they made a new one, they put ham all over it, when we had specifically asked them NOT to put ham on the pizza. None of the waitstaff or management wanted to take responsibility for anything that occurred. So, we just paid our bill and will never be back. I've also already warned several people to never visit this establishment while in Port Austin, because they aren't deserving of the business. read more

From the coney dogs to the homemade potato chips to the sliders and the loaded nachos the food here is just what you looking for when you and your friends want to go out and don't want a high end dinner but more of a tapa's type experience. The menu here is great for sharing when watching a game (or rerun during COVID-19) while hanging out with friends for some liquid refreshments and a great variety of foods.
