Service and coffee has been great lately. Nothing like returning to old stomping grounds. I have to admit BlueBeard is the classic coffee house at the end of the day, and has preserved its vibes.

This coffee shop is very close to our airbnb. It was very convenient for us to grab and go. The latte was really good. It had both milk and coffee taste. They also have a selection of bake goods also. I had the croissant, which was buttery. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and would go again with visiting again.

We had a nice little walk to Bluebeard from our AirBnB in the historic North Slope. My husband and I both got lattes that were delicious. They have a very good selection of pastries. Plenty of non-dairy alternative and vegan and gluten free options.

If your in the mood for fancy coffee in Tacoma, this is the place. Neighborhood coffee spot with ample seating areas and roasted coffee prepared in house. On a Sunday morning the place was packed with students, families, and people just hanging out. So cozy with tables large and small. The fancy coffee listed above was delicious . I also had a blueberry crumble cookie or cake. I would definitely order it again. On my next trip to Tacoma, I will be back.

Came this morning and the coffee was on point! I ordered a vanilla latte and blueberry muffin. The latte was cream and super good and the muffin is also good. I definitely will come back again when I'm in the area!

Really cool coffee place to hang out at. My espresso coffee was yummy, Morgan was the barista and she is super friendly. The area is huge to sit around and hang out. They sell coffee beans/grounds and hoodies. There are couches to hang out at. I definitely will come back if I'm in the area

Big, open and friendly. Good playlist. Didn't kick me out after a couple hours of reading (and drinking coffee)

Americano with cream and a savory pastry

I went here on a Wednesday morning. I like the open atmosphere and they roast the coffee in house. I thought the coffee was really good and I liked all the different options that they have. My only ask is I wish my Americano would have been hotter. The barista was also super informative about the different beans the company has.

Superb coffee! It was a great ambiance to work from for a couple hours and the staff were very friendly. Came in on a weekday morning and everyone was pretty quiet with minor chit chat so it was perfect for me to get a couple hours of work done.

One of the best places in the area for working and being around the vicinity. Had an appointment in the area and sadly couldn't find any spot to sit and work, literally not one! Blue Beard Coffee is a cute spot for your coffee, work and grab quick small bite with cuppa.

Caramel macchiato..!!

One of my favorite coffee shops! I come here when I'm in the area. I also enjoy the pumpkin loaf. Friendly staff. Amazing VIBES!!

Scone

Ambiance: A fun place to meet up with friends, it's a spacious establishment. Plenty of comfortable seating indoors and outdoors. Wonderful lighting! Service: Fast and courteous. Food: I ordered the savory scone (forget the name), that was flaky, buttery and everything you can ask for in a scone. 10/10 I am not sure if they have an option to heat up pastries, that would have been the icing on the cake. House coffee was tasty, $2 refill. I appreciate the prices, nothing outrageous about it.

Decaf oat mocha

This is an update to my original review. This time I stopped in with my daughter and they were open and it was lovely. The coffee shop is very spacious. There were people sitting around chatting, working, etc. My daughter and I each had a mocha, although mine was decaf w/oat milk. Wow! My decaf coffee actually tasted like coffee, and not just coffee, but really good coffee. You'd think this wouldn't be such a huge deal, but it's very difficult to find good decaf coffee/espresso. The service was prompt and we really enjoyed ourselves. I'm looking forward to returning.

Great space. Good coffee. Friendly and faster staff than many PNW establishments. Great place to grab a coffee and relax.

Had a basic mocha, very good and smooth, no bitterness. Could have been a bit hotter but that's my problem :)

It always seems like some new discovery awaits for this category here and it's always delicious. Coffee drinks remain amazing, creative and unique especially for the area that doesn't delve into the specifics that this place does. On our latest visit we had some amazing sweets that involved pistachio and once again it doesn't disappoint. So very delicious. Still five stars all of the way and I don't see that changing anytime soon!

I used to visit the Sacramento location, so it was a nice surprise seeing one nearby. My review is mainly for the desserts since I still haven't tried the coffee yet (though I'm sure it's probably great too since they're known for their Yemeni coffee). The menu seems very similar to the Sacramento location, but I'm giving 4 stars because they don't carry the one dessert I've been seriously craving: Turkish delight! The Sacramento location has it and I was definitely hoping to grab some here but I didn't see any on display or on the menu :( The milk cakes were thankfully just as good and super consistent between locations. We ordered the pistachio milk cake and the caramel milk cake (different pricing, depending on flavor probably). Both were incredibly moist, flavorful, and just really delicious. If you've never tried the milk cakes here, I definitely recommend them. They taste high quality, for sure, and a perfect treat for a sweet tooth. I had my husband try one for the first time since he likes caramel, and he immediately said it tasted so fancy he felt like he should be sticking his pinky out while eating it lol. I told him it *is* around $10 a slice, after all. We stopped by on a weekday afternoon and the parking lot was busy and the café itself was packed, so it definitely seems like a popular spot. They also have a points rewards program you can sign up for with just your phone number. I'll definitely be back for sweets again.

The employees here are really nice, and the coffee beans are some of the most vibrant and packed with flavor (my preference) due to the experimental techniques used and their careful sourcing. The espresso drinks include classics, but also a lot of cool twists and syrups too. Pastries are excellent. The goat cheese chimichurri was so good and savory, and vibrant herbs and spices. Definitely a must-stop for my Tacoma visits!

It is located only a 5-minute drive from the car museum. We got yummy Smashburgers (comes with chips) and fries at Canteen by Camp Colvos. For drinks, we got a couple of sodas at Canteen, a Willie Maize Hazy IPA on tap at the 7 Seas bar, and I tried a refreshing Lavender Patch (16 oz iced sparkling espresso with lavender syrup and yuzu lemonade) at Naomi Joe Coffee. They have some pinball machines, free water at the back, and a party room you can rent. As with most breweries, it is family-friendly. I love the laid-back and friendly atmosphere of this place. They sell cool merch and have a neat display in honor of the historic Heidelberg Brewing Company of Tacoma that dates back to 1912.
