It's a small spa that's easy to find. I was gifted a massage here which was suppose to be paid in full but the facility took half as a deposit instead. I arrived early and asked to access their WiFi as I waited and they were kind enough to let me use it. The waiting area is pretty small but enough that people can walk through. The massage was okay. My Masseuse was going faster then I like with the strokes but the pressure was good. She used baby oil as the moisturizer . At the end she applied warm towels on my feet , stomach and neck .. that felt amazing read more

Definitely NOT one of the best massages I've had. I opted for an hour long hot stone massage. I assumed that would involve the usual massage techniques (kneading, rolling, pressure variation, etc) along with hot stones, as most salons do. I was wrong, unfortunately. My hour long massage essentially felt like an hour long back rub with hot rocks passed across my back every few mins. There was no pressure variation, kneading, or rolling. Just back rubbing, some warm rocks, and too little aromatherapy oil at times. I rate massages based on how many times I doze off during the massage. During this massage, I didn't even come close to dozing off. Such a shame, because I was so looking forward to that great massage table sleep. read more

Oh my goodness, this was a wonderful place to be for my birthday this year. My husband booked the swedish massage package here, which included a back and foot scrub. The vibe from right when you walk in is as relaxing as can be. Everyone was so nice and they immediately offered water and tea while I waited for my massage room to be ready. But I wasn't ready for how much more relaxed I'd be. Everything from the aroma to the lighting to the firmness of the massage bed was perfect. My masseuse then came into the room, introduced herself, checked if I had any allergies to the products she would use, let me get comfortable, and then went to work. I felt renewed and cared for during my massage and I left feeling like I left earth and moved to the clouds lol. It was such a positive experience for both my husband and me. And of course, I felt safe and the place was very hygienic with regard to COVID-19. I've heard of Blue Bell Spa since I'm from DC but I've never been and I'm so lucky to have had an experience. Me and my husband went in for a couples massage, as soon as we walked in we were greeted, we were offered tea and water, really made us feel comfortable. Our therapist started in a timely fashion, but before starting they asked us what exactly we were looking for so they could hit the right spots and they surely did! I prefer deep pressure and have had every type of massage at every price point imaginable, and he was one of the best ever! My horrible neck pull is gone and my muscles are so loose I didn't even realize they were right before! We visited Bluebell Spa DC on Saturday, October 20th at 10:30AM for an appointment for three of us. We each got a 75 minute massage. The treatment rooms are very comfortable, relaxing, and everything was ready to go on time for us. I know they I disrobed, laid down, and forgot about all of my worries. The therapist that I had (I forget her name) was fabulous and she used a variety of techniques and seemed to have absolutely magic hands. She was concerned about making sure that I felt good, which was a pleasant surprise from some of the places I have visited in the past. I would most definitely return to BlueBell again in the future, if my travels brought me to DC. read more

Oh. My. Wow. I just had the most incredible massage from Ana. I woke up with an incessant pain in my neck and shoulder blades and she knew just what to do. From start to finish, the massage was absolutely fantastic. She pulled out all the stops: alternating between sports and Swedish massage techniques to address the more tense muscle groups, using hot stones to soften the knots in my shoulders. It was heavenly... everything a spa treatment should be. Before we began, she asked me if I preferred oil, lotion, or cream. I told her that I preferred oil, and she selected a spicy rosemary blend that was absolutely wonderful. I believe that I requested an aromatherapy massage during my last visit, but I felt that there were way more aromatherapeutic elements in this massage than there were during my last one. She also asked if there were any areas that I wanted her to focus on. I told her about my neck and back pain and she told me she had just the thing. She was not kidding. Her expertise was evident both in her technique and in her recommendations. During the massage, she recommended a variety of things (yoga stretches, different kinds of pillows) to help me remain comfortable and otherwise in alignment in between massages, and even incorporated a few stretches into the massage itself. We went a few minutes over, but she told me that she did not want to stop in the middle of loosening the muscles that were giving me the most trouble. I've never experienced that before. Many of the spas I've been to are strict on the end time (regardless of whether or not we started on time), but Ana cared more about my comfort and satisfaction than she did about going a few minutes over. Wow. I'm also pleased to report that the spa has since addressed the loud music issue with the business below them. My massage room was a quiet, tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, and I enjoyed it immensely. I am beyond pleased with this experience, and I am glad to add mine to the myriad of 5-star reviews for this spa. This is the best Thai and deep tissue massage business I've found in DC. If you get a package it comes out to ~ $90 / hour which is great. I can almost always get in same day but be aware you have to schedule and pay over the app as they take no money inside the business. There's only one restroom so sometimes before or after a service you and other clients and therapist end up in a bit of a queue. read more

Beyond thrilled to have found this place--the atmosphere is so calm and peaceful, you feel like you left the city when you step inside. Tonight I went to Blue Bell spa. My neck to the base of my back was in knots ,shoulder blade etc. I requested a 75 minute deep tissue massage. You can pick your masseuse, but this was my first time, so all I knew is I wanted a man! I got Marcio. I don't even know where to begin. He was kind, courteous and respectful. Before the session began he asked me what were my areas of concern. We discussed my concerns, he left the room to let me get undressed and a way we went. He periodically checked in with me to see how I was feeling. All along the way I felt great. I am typically a very chatty person; however, when I'm getting a massage I don't particularly care for a lot of conversation. I feel like he can read the room. Beyond the check-ins we didn't talk much. Perfecto! Sadly 75 minutes went just like that. At the end of the massage she asked me how it was feeling. I felt great.When I got off the table I was so relaxed, I felt super relaxed! I'm so grateful that I live within the neighborhood. Talk about a hidden gem.Bluebell, where have you been all my life? 5 stars is right. Yordanos was not only super sweet, welcoming and thoughtful (offered me tea, water), she asked exactly what I wanted and over delivered. She even used a bunch of unique techniques to work out tension in my neck, techniques I've never experienced before and worked exceptionally well. There was a slight mixup with the duration of my massage, I booked 75 and they only had 60 min available, but they somehow made it work and gave me an additional 5 mins at the end. Really amazing all around. Note this is a massage only facility, no hot tub, sauna, etc - but for a city spa it's the best around. I'm sure all staff are excellent, but Yordanos was flawless. I am very happy I discovered Bluebell spa in my neighborhood. The staff is professional and friendly. The service providers are top notch. I've seen several different massage therapists here and they have all been excellent. I've also had several facials. It's easy to schedule online or simply call them and they can accommodate multiple services and even couples. This spa is tucked away in an unassuming building on 14th. The reception is warm and welcoming, and the building is *pretty* soundproof from the noise outside. We had a wonderful one-hour couple's massage then went across the street for tacos for lunch. Perfect Sunday morning, in my opinion! Good massage, not so good ambiance. For the price, I expected this to be an upscale experience, however this spa is not different from others that I have attended with massages under $100 per person. I booked a couples massage for what I was hoping to be a romantic experience for my fiancés birthday. Things started out well, however we were able to hear very loud music either from a nearby apartment, restaurant, or business below the spa, completely interrupting the relaxed environment. On top of that, one of the masseuses phones kept going off with text or email notifications (not a vibrate, but an alert), and he had a runny nose and was sniffling loudly for the duration of the massage. While the massage itself was fine, I expected much more out of the ambiance and experience. Will not be returning. read more
