Full disclosure: I'm a total croissant snob and don't consider supermarket bakeries, Starbucks, or even many local options anywhere near the real deal. In fact when I first came here, my expectations were already tempered because the northern Idaho Panhandle may have gorgeous vistas, but good bakeries are few and far between. Well sir, let me assure you Master Baker Jill has done it! She's brought a true, honest-to-god croissant that's super light, flakes into a thousand little pieces right onto her lovely floor, and has the authentic exterior sheen you're looking for into Sandpoint. And like any true piece of baking perfection, it's only good the day (sometimes the first few hours) you buy it. If there's another croissant anywhere as good as hers around these parts, I've yet to discover it. read more

The pastries were very good I really liked the croissants I believe it was the almond croissant but the pizza definitely would not recommend the pizza in less obviously everybody has different taste buds but I did not find the pizza to be that good and would not recommend but the croissants for sure read more

OMG! If you are in Sandpoint make your way to this morning spot. We had the croissant sandwich. First of all, it's huge and I recommend splitting it. It's absolutely delicious and so flavorful. We also shared a cinnamon roll. This is definitely one to be enjoyed as well. Soft, buttery and sinfully delicious. I got an americano with heavy cream and asked for an extra shot as they come with 2 shots. It was probably the best cup of coffee I've ever had! Creamy, smoothy and delicious. This was our favorite stop on our trip to Sandpoint. I got the Brioche Breakfast Sandi and wow. I half read the ingredients when I ordered and I was pleasantly surprised by all the flavors when I took my first bite. Eggs were cooked perfectly. I also think it had kimchi on it? All I know is it all worked together to create a very tasty breakfast sandwich. Possibly one of the best that I've ever had. My husband got the smoked salmon toast and also said his was amazing. We also got a chocolate chip cookie for the road and wowza. That was one of my top favorite chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. It seems like they use a chocolate bar, instead of chips for their cookie and you can tell in the difference it makes! I love all the fresh ingredients they put on their items. You can tell they are made with love and isn't just something thrown together. It is clear they put some thought into these items and really care about the food they create and produce. read more

Visiting from out of town and wow this place was amazing. They make everything in house every morning and you can tell. The everything croissant was so unique and delicious. Our table also got a breakfast salad, and a pistachio rhubarb bostock. I didn't know what a bostock was but it absolutely delicious. Like the fanciest slice of French toast. Couple the amazing food with the super friendly staff and I will be back anytime I am in town. read more

Can't think of anything bad to be said about this place. The staff is friendly, all common and visible BOH areas are clean, decor is simple and modern, yet homey feeling and products are fresh and very good. I read a few reviews about the prices being high, but I personally feel the prices accurately reflect the quality of the product, I never have a problem paying for quality. So far, I've had two types of sourdough loaves, a chocolate croissant, a latte, and a special dessert roll order (which Bluebird was willing to accommodate). Bread is superb. Chocolate croissant was light, fluffy and the only thing that left me wanting was a dollop of whip cream which I didn't have at home and my order was to-go The latte was...eyebrow raising, I've been in the coffee business for 9 years, tried A LOT of coffee, this was not bad at all. I just moved to town and I think this will be a spot I will get bread and treats .... and even a latte. read more
