Stayed two days at the Hill Street Beauty, whatever they sprayed worked great until I woke up the next day stuffed up only to find myself covered in cat hair and the entire place reeked of cat urine, the upstairs is probably worse then the downstairs, I'm guessing the owner has a few cats and leaves the house when the house gets rented out and there is no cleaning in-between rentals, I would not recommend. The house is very small and outdated but generally has everything you would need to enjoy your stay, they customer service people at bluebird seem to be very helpful. read more

I have never posted a review for a rental before. I visited with my son's family and could not believe the issues he faced while renting from BlueBird Day. My son has a 19-month-old and a 2-month-old. The home rented was a 3 bedroom and 2 story home. There is only 1 HVAC controller downstairs in the living room. The upstairs was hot as compared to the downstairs. Bend, OR was experiencing smokie days during this time. The smoke was lingering in the house and did not seem to be conditioned, or even moving. The only air coming out of the upstairs registers was just moving the smoke down around the baby. My son went out and purchased $1,000 of air purifiers to help. Without these, the home would have been uninhabitable and they would have to leave it. The air purifiers were hard to find as all places were sold out of them. Everyone in Bend seemed to have purchased any and all purifiers everywhere. When getting them in the house, right away one of them read 164. Not a good thing for a baby or anyone. Then I suggested looking at the HVAC filters. To my surprise and horror, the filters were turned over instead of new ones installed, as if someone thought that they could filter from both sides. The arrow was pointing in the wrong direction for airflow. This put the extremely dirty side from the past several months on the top and on the side where the HVAC handler is, meaning it was blowing dirt through the system and into the rooms. In addition, the other side was so filthy that there was no way anything was being filtered. This is why the smoke was lingering in the house and the differences in the temp. BlueBird Day lied and stated they had replaced them before my son arrived. I have never seen this kind of thing happen. We put new air filters in that we went and bought and then everything got much better. The air was then filtered, the flow was good, the air quality in the home was much better, and the temperatures were synced up. My son attempted to resolve these issues with BlueBird but they were horrible in regards to assisting him. He asked for a partial refund for putting his children in danger and they refused. AirBnB did assist a little with this, but not much. I would NOT ever rent from BlueBird Day. I can't believe how badly they treat their guests. They have no concern for the safety of children and were not compassionate in any regard. read more

We stayed at their 102 NW 13th Street location which is a super cute 1 bedroom 1 bath property. To sum it up, it's easy to get to, cozy, comfortable, clean and within .2mi walking distance to Good Life Brewery. It's perfect if you're in Bend, looking for a cute place that's not a hotel. The minute we arrived, I felt like I was home. This place had all the necessities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, an easy to use dishwasher, hair dryer etc... I loved the bathroom that was spacious and nice water pressure. The best part was having the sunrise peek through the window and light up the bathroom. I can't explain how nice it felt to wake up and take a nice hot shower in this bathroom. Walking distance to not only a brewery but a nice coffee shop. You could easily walk to Downtown or the Old Mill District. read more

I retain that their service was poor. But, Airbnb did refund my account once I called and made a fuss. Not sure what Bluebird's involvement in that process was, but I did get my money back. Overall, we had a good experience with Bluebird Day Vacation Rentals, and I commend their customer service. We stayed at the "River Otter" property, which was really well-located, and even nicer than the posted pictures. It was great to find a reasonable, dog-friendly cabin for our first stay in Bend! We were less than a block to a park and the Deschutes River, and centrally located to restaurants, bars, and downtown, so we barely used our car. Communications were prompt and informative. We had a few issues with the property, but we alerted the owners and it was rectified immediately, which we greatly appreciated. This company clearly cares about their customers! Haven was the perfect spot for the first real spring weekend of 2018! It was next to the Newport Market so we could mosey over any time we needed any wine, food or coffee. It was a great location for us to choose to do things together or separate choose-your-own-adventures. We walked over the bridge to Bend Brewing, and walked to Jinsei Spa for a spa day. Ran around the river and soaked in the sun. The house had gorgeous mod-contemporary decor. The beds were comfy and for 7 women we had plenty of space to sleep and hang out. Will be back! read more

WONDERFUL place the Jefferson Cottage is! My husband and I adored Jefferson Cottage when we stayed for a weekend ....we sure wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Bend. The house smelled sooooooooooo good upon coming in.....loved all the Mrs. Meyers hand soaps and other more 'natural' products the home stocked. The house is decorated with such taste. We didn't need to use any of the appliances, plates and such, but boy are they stocked with beautiful wares! Comfy bed, soft towels, I do not believe the little cottage was lacking anything! The back deck was gorgeous and there were 2 bikes in the back laundry room. We didn't get to use the bikes or deck but definitely would have if we had more time. Just a short 2 block walk from the delicious Jackson's corner! Very close to downtown too! I truly loved this place and felt 'at home' staying here. We sure hope we can return for a longer visit! read more

Rebecca at Bluebird Rentals in Bend did a fabulous job at meeting and exceeding our needs while we vacationed in Bend. Our house slept up to 6, however the outdoor seating only had enough for 4 people, one quick email and we had 2 extra chairs that same day. They were very responsive to our needs and wanted us to experience a relaxing vacation while staying in their rental. We'll definitely use them again when we stay in Bend. read more

The Kingfisher Bungalow exceeded our expectations! It was more expensive than what we would usually do but ended up being worth it. All communication with the staff was great. We asked if we could check out late because family members would be snowboarding on Bachelor. They didn't have anyone new coming in the day we left so they happily let us stay a couple extra hours. While it obviously didn't hurt us to do it, I wasn't impressed that they asked us to do some laundry, the dishes, etc. That's what a cleaning fee is for. The bungalow was awesome. So much character....I would love to remodeler and/or designer to touch up my home! No garage sale appliances or old castoffs in the kitchen. Well stocked kitchen and nice furnishings. The only cons: The beds were way too hard for our taste and wi-fi was really spotty in the basement which is where theTV is...which made it difficult to get Netflix on the blu-ray player. We had a great time shopping Old Town! Everyone told us we HAD to go to Old Mill District. It was fine but we have almost all of those shops 10 from home so while it was a nice area, we enjoyed Old Town much more read more

We rented the Sunnyside house in Bend Oregon. It was spotless, beautiful, and accurate to the description. It was well stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking implements, cooking tools, laundry soap and softener, and other misc sundry items. The towels were thick and fluffy and the linens were high quality. The garage was stocked with bicycles too! The location was FANTASTIC and was walking distance from a pub and several restaurants. It was a rather expensive rental for a family of 4 @ $391/night, but we went during the peak season. Bend was beautiful and the rental was worth the expense. read more

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Bend Osprey vacation home! It was perfect for the three of us (my boyfriend, our 2-year-old son & I). It came with just about everything you need! The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cooking utensils, pots & pans, etc that you would need. They included body lotion, shampoo/conditioner & body wash (all very great brands as well!) in the bathroom. There was coffee and a coffee pot ready for use which was some of my favorite coffee while I was there, from backporch coffee roasters! The decor was so modern & hip, which we loved to pieces! They did such a great job decorating this lovely little place and making it feel so cozy. We met the owner while we were there (who lives right next door) and he was so nice and accommodating. We were the first to stay in this lovely little place and I can honestly say that there was nothing missing. They provided us with everything we could have needed while on vacation. We loved how close to town we were too! So close to great local coffee shops, lovely local restaurants & markets! Some of our favorite spots in Bend were Jackson's Corner (so great if you have kids with you and even if you don't, you HAVE to go here!), Backporch Coffee Roasters (best chai in town in my opinion!), Spork was such a fun place to eat with such a unique & positive atmosphere (the fish tacos were fantastic!), and last but not least our other favorite was Devore's Good Food Store (perfect spot for real healthy foods, yummy prepped meals and desserts & just about anything else you would need). As far as activities, we didn't really get out to do much. We stayed in and relaxed since that's exactly what we were looking for. But we know that Bend offers so many fun outdoor activities and we can't wait to come back to experience what else Bend has to offer. If you are having a hard time deciding on whether or not to stay here, just take our word for it and enjoy your stay! It's perfect for couples, couples with a small child, or even just a single! However, you can most definitely fit (very comfortably) 4 people here. We have already recommended this sweet place to so many of our friends/family! Our trip to Bend and stay at Mirror Pond was one we will share with our family and friends. We had a great time along the Columbia Gorge, Mt. Hood, Sisters, Crater Lake, and the Oregon coast, but our favorite was the perfect location at Mirror Pond. We sat on the front porch most nights, popped corn, and had a fire in the fire pit. Each day started along the Deschutes River, sightseeing, wining and dining, shopping, and enjoying the beautiful weather. The location of our bungalow was walking distance to Bend's downtown district as well as the Old Mill district nearby. It was also very well stocked with everything we needed. Let me start by saying that the Penny Luck cottage is adorable and while very tiny is laid out nicely and extremely cozy with the wood stove and the backyard is wonderfully done. I was a little surprised there was no TV in the living area but there is one in the upstairs area but you need to lie on a bed to watch it. My frustration with our otherwise wonderful stay came on Sunday when we were to check out. While I am very familiar with the 11 am checkout as I have stayed in several VRBOs in the area, I have never experienced such a rude cleaning lady in my life. She showed up at 11:08 and informed us who she was and how many more minutes would we be in the unit. Even though our stuff was on the front porch and we were trying to get out. We told her we would be out in 15 min. and she proceeded to park down the street and watch us and then came back before 15 min., opened the door and started bringing her cleaning stuff in and then walked out leaving the door wide opened and leaning against her car with her arms folded, staring at us until we left. Never in the over 30 years I have stayed at a hotel or a VRBO have I had such rude behavior and all around bad attitude from someone. The cottage book even asks you to help out their cleaning crew by empty the garbage, starting the dishwasher, throwing towels in the wash, etc., because they 'Love" their cleaning people. Well we did everything they asked and more and I hope they review their policy on how to treat guests upon checkout. It doesn't matter how great the house is if the last impression is negative!! read more

5 days of fun in Bend! Not only was Hummingbird Cottage a newly remodeled, cute and spotless bungalow, Bluebird Day Vacation Rentals went well beyond my expectations. The West Bend location of Hummingbird Cottage made it easy to get anywhere. It's well-appointed with a super comfy bed, luxury linens, fluffy towels, and new appliances. It's also in a quiet residential neighborhood with many great restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, shops, and a grocery store all within walking distance. It was tough for us to choose a spot without feeling that we were missing out on something else great. Oh well, next visit! If you are coming from Redmond, Trader Joes is right off the highway for grocery supplies. There's also an amazing grocery store (can't remember the name) near the house with a ton of healthy selections that I used to pick up more of what I needed and then spent more time. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and everything you'll need to prepare your meals. I I loved that the coffee and tea (both locally sourced), and bath supplies were without toxic ingredients. We had a great time and will definitely choose the Bluebird Day rental site for our next visit to Bend. read more

We recently stayed at the extremely well-designed, comfortable and convenient Desert Zen bungalow in Bend and while the house was great, the management company, Bluebird Day Vacation Rentals, was outstanding. The reservation process was prompt and clear and everything was in place upon our arrival, trash at the curb ready for the next day's pick up. The household instructions were in plain sight and very straightforward. When the washing machine failed and their prompt service person said it was beyond repair, Rebecca offered several options for helping to get the laundry done.
