The sleds were loaded into a five-place enclosed trailer and ready to go when we arrived at the shop. Michael the owner gave us a thorough run down of the trail systems (I've ridden in Minnesota a lot, but first time in Oregon), a walk through of the sleds, and other general tips. They also had a complete lineup of decent rental equipment, although renting isn't ever has good as having your own gear that you're used to. All of the sleds were quality Ski-Doo long tracks. We had two 850's that rocked the trails and the powder, two 600's for the less experienced riders, and one 900 two-up. Unloading and loading was easy, and it was a short 25 minute drive to the snow park. Great rental experience - would definitely rent again from Central Oregon Rentals. Thoughts about the Deschutes trail system around Mt. Bachelor: 1. We rode on what had to have been one of the busiest days of the year - bad planning on our part. By the time we got to the Wanoga sno-park the parking lot was full, but it really wasn't full: they could have fit at least 1/3 more rigs if folks would learn how to park. There was literally 10' between some rigs. We ended up parking along one of the roadways inside the snow park which worked. If you could beat the mountain traffic and make it higher up it would be better. See #2 below. 2. The trails leading up to the Mt. Bachelor - especially Trail 5 - were AWFUL. So many riders chewing it up, even though they were groomed the night before. They were even worse coming back down. If you like going 10 mph max on washboards you'll love them. Once we got past the mountain, Trail 5 was better, but not great. 3. The 250 miles of the Mt. Bachelor trail system is beautiful, but TBH after riding Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP, the trail system around Mt. Bachelor isn't the place to go for hard core riding. We rode all day and maybe got 40 miles - in the upper Midwest we'd get at least 100 miles on a low day. This is partly due to the number of people and the trail conditions, but there just aren't the same miles of trails if you really like to ride. 4. The stop at the Elk Lake resort was great. Definitely worth they trip out there. Would we ride the Deschutes Trail System again? -Yes, and we would definitely rent from Central Oregon Rentals. -Yes, but on a weekday or during the shoulder season. Definitely NOT on a holiday weekend. -Yes, but explore starting at a different location.

Dan is an absolute legend when it comes to coordinating repairs and maintenance. From Northern VA to Bend, OR- needed to rent a place in a pinch. The fees were pretty incredible…read moreand a credit report had to be run just to SEE the rental (my husband was there at the time, but we were unable to see with an agent). We were "awarded" the opportunity to rent it and signed the lease effective 10/15/2025; not arriving until the day before Thanksgiving because of logistical and employment situations. The property was dusty and needed to be cleaned the day before move in. The oven and microwave were 30 years old and pretty much non- usable. We were visited by Superior once moved in to check the condition of the property. The ladies were nice enough but not what I would call concerned about a couple of problems with the property. The owner actually came to the house to install the oven and microwave because of the delay with them coordinating contractors. Thanks Nick! It was a nice enough property and the rent we paid was commensurate with the type and condition of the property. When we arrived, I had to replace toilet seats and hand clean all the glass lighting and replaced everything with appropriate LED bulbs. We also had to pay $750 to clean up the lawn that was left unattended for 45 days before we arrived. When we left, with the property cleaner than we had received it, Superior charged me $540 for supposedly cleaning it. I call BS on that. I was on my hands and knees in the bathrooms; again hand cleaned every lighting fixture; moved W/D to clean behind; wiped out all refrigerator and freezer shelves. and cleaned out the garage/windows and flooring. We also had the property outside professionally manicured and cleaned 1 week before we left ($450) . Stay away from any property managed by this company. They were not responsive (unless it was convenient to them) and they will take your hard earned money. If you have to use them leave the carpet dirty and the residence uncleaned because they will charge you anyway. As an aside, Mountain High is a very nice neighborhood that has very good and nice neighbors. A great place, but not if Superior is in the picture. *We gave them a chance to itemize the cost of the cleaning so we could understand what we got charged $540 dollars for, and they ignored our request*. That tells me all I need to know about their business dealings.
