Cheers from happy BBC brew fans

Cool little "local" micro-brew spot in Austin! Regular events, good beers and friendly service and patrons! Overall, 4.0 rating for decent but limited craft beer and hard seltzer selections, and no real food options, just some bagged chips. Think you can bring your own food if wanting something heavier to eat with their beers. Stopped in for a few cold tastings of their IPA beers, and enjoyed watching a corn hole tournament being played in their parking lot. A few outdoor picnic tables were available in addition to the standing tables indoors. Not much more to say about BBC, but come try their locally crafted beers. Enjoy!

On a cold or hot day, we'll any day is a good day to have a local craft beer on tap from bluebonnet brewery everything they make is great kid friendly activities and a pet-friendly as well great place to meet new people and bring a date or a find the love of your life

TLDR: great potential, but overall the Austin Average In any other market, this place would be well above average, but considering the competition, I'd say it's much closer to the average. They have some pretty solid beer, but the location is in the middle of an industrial park, and the place was all open air with no AC (not the best idea with Texas Summers). I think they've got some good potential, and it's certainly worth a stop by to try. 3/5

We had heard about Bluebonnet for a while and finally decided to check them out on a Friday evening. We were shocked to find a packed house! The picnic tables outside are plentiful but were all full when we arrived. Luckily two guys let us join them. I had the Raspberry Berliner Weisse and it quickly became my new favorite. It is sweet and crisp without being overly sweet. Our friends both got the Cream Ale and loved it. We all walked out with growlers. Everyone there is super friendly and very welcoming. We had the baby with us which was fine (there were a few kids there)...but every time a car was exiting we would have to wrangle him down (minor downfall of basically sitting alongside the parking lot). We are looking forward to visiting again.

Nice little brewery in a warehouse. Seating is all outside in the parking lot. Regulars bring lawn chairs. Beer was okay. Food was meh. Plastic cups are a turn off. I'd stop in again if thirsty and in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to get here...

Wanted to try Bluebonnet Beer Company and BBQ Fiends. Really liked both! I find in Austin if you're not an IPA lover, you're often out of luck. At BBC, we had a Porter, a Texas Pecan Brown Ale, AND an American Amber Ale. Choices other than IPA, IPA, and more IPA. And, I think the pints were only $6.00 each. Wonderment! The woman who helped us at BBC was super friendly, and very informative about the beers. Ample parking, clean, a number of picnic tables with umbrellas outside, and a good amount of indoor, air-conditioned seating also - essential for our current and seemingly endless Purgatoria. BBQ Fiends was exceptional also. We tried their brisket, turkey, and Chori-Queso sausage with pickled onions and potato salad, and the Texican with barbacoa, rice, beans and salsa verde. All were very tasty, served quickly and the two young men that helped us at BBQ Fiends food truck were very friendly. Had a great afternoon there with family and appreciated the friendly service, great beer and BBQ and a clean, comfortable place to relax. Applause!!

Good beer. Well made and always to style. They have rotating food trucks or an in house kitchen for food options.

Great local place. My friends and I regularly hangout at this locally owned brewery. My favorite beer is the Amber Ale.

We went yesterday afternoon and its a really nice property with tons of space. They have a cool stage area, a playground, several tables near the bar with view of the tv and some open inside space next to cornhole. I want to say they had about 8 of other breweries beers on tap (real ale bock and Pinthouse Scorpion Disco are the two I remember) and then they also had cocktails and 2 of their own beers: an amber, and then what I got: the tangerine cream ale. I thought it was pretty good which was surprising as usually, new breweries take a bit to get things figured out. It would be a solid beer for a warm day. The bartender was friendly and they also had a bbq truck on site that smelled delicious but we didn't have time to check-out this time. The only negative I'd say is there is zero inside space with A/C, its all open air. That's not a dealbreaker for me but as its only going to get even hotter, I'm curious how it will impact their business.

Any beer connoisseur will understand the technique the demands and the workmanship that goes into creating draft beer and what I really love is I fell in love with the Hill country kolsch, it's a blend of a light beer so I prefer light beers like ultra or Miller so to me it taste like a more full flavored Miller light and what I really appreciate is that it's not like a heavy IPA so it allows me to free up space in my stomach so I can go for the killer pizza. Hands-down, one of the best cheese, breads, high-quality cheese crispy, crunchy cheese bread with what I really love are those crispy crunchy edges that are on the crust it's addictive. And then you're able to dip each cheese bread into that jalapeño ranch or that creamy queso. I'm telling you this right now their house made jalapeño ranch is like crack. They should bottle it and sell it if they decided to bottle it I would buy a bottle should I say I think it's better than Wingstop? Go try the pizzas as you can see. I ordered the works pizza we can see all the beautiful cuts of meats. All fresh meats, all beautifully individually, sliced fresh crunchy crust with melted cheese. Just a great bite. If you're a carnivore this is your pizza. I wanted to jazz things up and go for the honey bear pizza and I requested that they add white sauce as the base and then drizzle on top of the olive oil. I'm happy they made that pizza for me because you can taste the white sauce mixed with the olive oil and the nice salty shavings of prosciutto.

Clearly, not at all, because the place was packed. Either at capacity or about to go over. We secured a little standing spot at the bar and enjoyed our little brews. I went to the bar and ordered (no wait staff at the tables). I ordered the Fish-n-Chips w/ a Pearl Snap, my date had the Biggy BBQ Mac Burger with a Dragon Fruit Daiquiri. For the positives: our drinks were very good, hard to mess up a draught beer, but it was not flat & just cold enough. She absolutely loved the daiquiri, side note- she's with me so standards aren't super high. Bar staff were super helpful and attentive, patio was very chill and secluded from the other spots surrounding it. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell like vomit. Negatives: My fish and chips were below expectations. Their grease was entirely too hot and it was flash fried causing the batter to be too crispy and the fish was piping hot. The selection of cod was not good either most of the pieces were blackened meat and the chips were crinkle cut fries, a letdown. I wasn't expecting a London level plate but it was a very sad and lonely one. Her burger was loaded with BBQ sauce and her mac-n-cheese balls were fried similarly causing the same burnt batter. It wasn't the worst meal I've had at a chain beer joint, looking at you Fox and Hound, but it wasn't close to the best. The Flying Saucer has a very good bar style fish and chips plate that costs about the same but they pay attention to the details that make it better. Overall I would not recommend and I will not be going back but in a pinch it won't make you sick.
