Cold beer, nice people, good pizza. Despite living only about 15 miles south I don't venture into Cedar Park very often. As I was leaving the We Are Blood donor center on Bell Boulevard, I thought "why not check out a brewery I don't visit very often for lunch?" (kids, I am a professional. Don't try this at home--a brewery visit right after dropping a pint is probably not a donor center recommendation for most normal folks). A search on "breweries near me" revealed that this spot was 1 mile away. Winner. Plenty of parking front and side, the taproom was pleasant inside and out. I took a seat at a nearly full bar next to a good group of World Cup (ESP/AUT) watchers. Two big TVs over the bar, in a large taproom/dining area with 5 more, shared with the sort of "built-in food truck" called "600 Degrees Pizza" except it's a proper pizza shop, no wheels. There's a shaded outdoor patio with a bar window, and 5 more TVs, and a covered tent area beyond that, with a play area for the kiddos. Had a Ray Ray Hazy IPA, crisp and cold and delicious NE-style IPA. I walked over to the pizza counter and ordered a slice, considered the slice/salad lunch special but opted for the HH slice special, pepperoni at $5. Minutes later a guy delivered the single largest pizza slice I have ever tried to hold in my hand to my seat at the bar. Apparently they do a 6-cut TWENTY FOUR INCH PIE for slices, so my slice was 75.4 square inches of tasty gooey goodness. Unwieldy, and took some tactical consumption logistics calculation, but I finished every bit--a meal for me, and I was glad I skipped the salad. Very good pie, and VERY filling. One more small beer, from Jester King, as I watched Spain knock Austria out 3-0. Friendly folks on both sides of the bar, good beer, and good food in a nice taproom. I'll be back. read more

Whitestone Brewery was another brewery we went to when we were on our vacation to the Austin, Texas area. With this brewery I got a beer type I don't always get and when I do it's a nice change of pace and that is a Brown Ale. I took the opportunity to get one here and the name of this brewery's version is a fun one... it's called Velvet Nunchuks. The flavor profile in this one is good... in it you can have fun with detecting caramel, roastiness and maltiness. The beer is smooth and has nice mouthful due to that. Whitestone was a good stop even if it is a bit of a ways from downtown Austin. read more

If you are a senior citizen, it's okay for the staff to be disrespectful and rude to you! Somehow it's okay to argue with paying customers (a true lack of what customer service is all about)! My experience, for someone that was a regular, this was more than disappointing. The business has a music bingo on Friday nights (or every other) which can be over excessively load. I was with a group of 15+ people - fellow members of an International club visiting the location. The group decided to move out onto the patio because it was too load in the dining area to have a conversation. Shortly thereafter that, the host of the music bingo placed a load speaker out onto the patio and turned it up full blast. We tried to get him to turn it down, but he refused. Thus, our group disbanded leaving only 4 of us. It continued to be extremely load out on the patio and several people started to complain... so I took it onto my own to to turn the speaker down to a reasonable level - I received a applause from the other customers. Within moments, a staff member walked out onto the patio and turned the speaker up to a ear deafening level. I asked her to turn it down and her response was... "this is the way, it always is!" With an attitude like that I became upset - I gave her a piece of mind (a couple of word slipped out - nothing that she hasn't heard before in her life). Moments later, the manager came out and admonished me in a very disturbing manner, which again, was poorly handled. It will be suggesting to my fellow International members and my Meetup group, to look for alternative venues that will appreciate our business (there so many in Cedar Park). Apparently, Whitestone Brewery has more customers than they need. I didn't realize that I had not completed my review - this goes back to the beginning of the year. Note: the response from the Owner is completely inaccurate. Ryan wasn't even there the night it happen - only going on what his employees told him. I have witnesses (business owners that are very involved with the community) that observed the entire event and they were taken back by the whole disregard to customer service. Instead of being apologetic, he throws around statements that legitimizes his inadequacies. A real piece of work. read more

Whitestone Brewery and 600 degrees = a match made in heaven! We stopped by the new location over the weekend and loved the new setup. A fabulous variety of unique Whitestone brews along with counter service 600 degrees is the perfect combination. I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time here. My favorites from 600 degrees are always the dry rub wings and really any of the specialty pizzas but the Haight and Ashbury and City Pie always hit the spot. read more

Enjoyed the beer flight! Our favorite was the coffee flavored stout Loved the ambience of this place. The host at the counter was super helpful and let us sample a few beers. We ended up taking two flights to cover all that was on the menu :) If anyone is interested in what we liked -- 2,6,8 - hazy and not good 7, 10 - stout with spicy/sweet note, coffee 9- good one 3- also nice You will have to go thr the pics to see which is which one :)) A highlight was the taco truck just outside the brewery. We ordered beer from the brewery and got our taco fix from this truck. Visiting from out of state, we had stopped by for a drink and some food after visiting Oasis on the Rocks for the sunset view. A good place to meet friends or eat alone, the brewery offers 6, 5oz flights for you to try or pint size beers if you already know what you like. The pizza offers a full menu. OK the flights served on a platter with the Lone Star looks awesome. Such a cool idea. I was here during an off-peak hour so I took my time with the beers. Every brew was very well put together. My favorite was the year round brown ale. Not a surprise as browns are some of my favorite beers in general. You should try any of the available beers with confidence. The staff are very approachable and a pleasure to talk to. There is also plenty of seating indoors and out. You might catch a food truck here but check the schedule first! read more

Love the ambiance of this place. The outside area has lots of seating and is decorated nicely. The only thing I wish they had was a kitchen or a food truck that was open later during their weekend hours. Unfortunately the food truck on site was closed while we were visiting around 9pm on a Saturday but the beer was pretty tasty! LOVED the long gone blonde. Unlocked another brewery in Cedar Park. Whitestone has very cute interior designs and a nice outdoor patio with taco food truck nearby. It was our first visit and we love their cute decors, generous tastings and live music performance! Service was great. The guy at the bar was chill and friendly - beer tasting was offered and it did help us make better decisions for our drinks! The ones we tried were Lovely Day IPA and Luna Azul Wheat Ale. I like the latter one way more than the first one, but that's just my personal preference. Beers are reasonably priced. Stopped into a local brewery while in town on business. Instantly greeted at the bar and offered samples of the types of beer I like. I can say they were all good. Once ordered I chatted with the bartender and ordered some food. The sub was also really good. Bartenders changed and I stayed and talked with the new one for a good hour. Wow I can't believe I've forgotten to review here. I LOVE their beer and location. Always great beers on rotation and the flight tray is cool. Only reason for the 4 starts is today we came for what had to be the 6th or 7th time and got kicked to the outside patio for having a dog. This is ALWAYS the brewery I go to when it's hot because they allowed dogs inside. I've had every other bartender let my dog in, love on him and have had zero problem sitting inside with him. Even their Facebook has a picture of a dog inside. Today we were told that was never allowed and should have been told to go outside. We have also seen many other dogs inside during past visits. I hate inconsistent rules. Also, super sad that we'll have to find a new brewery this summer. It's too hot to be outside and my dogs nickname is the the brewery dog. I'll still support them during cooler months-- but dog owners should know the rules have changed. Very sad. Wish they would have posted something about this change. read more

Stopped in tonight to see if the Whitestone/600 Degrees was everything it should be. Meh. Always been a fan of 600 Degrees/Slapbox, but tbh, never a huge fan of Whitestone's offerings. Somehow, the combination of the two isn't an improvement. The beer is just as average as ever, but now the pizza is a step down as well. I guess I'll stick to the other 600 Degree locations, where the pizzas are great, and they also have great beers. read more

I am very disappointed in the new location. The space is a lot smaller and now that it is a pizza restaurant it is always crowded and there is no place to sit. The patio here is a lot smaller than the old location and they allow smoking so that means we won't sit out there. We got there on a Friday at 5pm and there was nowhere to sit. We got lucky when someone left, however during the time we were there, many groups came and went because there were no tables available. The most disappointing thing is the lack of Whitestone beers. They had two of their own beers and everything else was guest taps. I really like their beers and if I come to Whitestone I want to have Whitestone beers. This really just screams that this is a location of 600 Degrees that happens to serve a couple of Whitestone beers. As for the food, it is hit and miss. The menu had tons of things marked off that they didn't have including all of their sandwiches and several specialty pizzas. I'm guessing this location is not serving the 600 Degrees full menu at this time. We got some garlic knots as an appetizer and they were good but the pizza we got was not. They don't really have a pepperoni pizza listed on the menu so you have to get a cheese pizza and add pepperoni. The pizza we got was nothing but gobs of cheese. I've never seen so much cheese on a pizza before. It was only so-so tasting and not something I would get again. With all these drawbacks I don't plan to visit this location very often which is a shame as we loved the old Whitestone. I guess we will go try the Liberty Hill location even though it is much farther away. I understand they had financial issues and that is most likely why they had to move out of the old space and partner with a restaurant, so I hope they can get back on their feet but as of now this is a worse situation. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Whitestone Brewery. The environment felt very relaxed and casual and I loved the outside patio area. We got a selection of beers, I personally really enjoyed the Mango Crazy wheat beer and the Keyboard Gansta IPA. The service was also very friendly and they offered some samples if you are in between choices. The taco truck outside was also very good! I highly recommend one of their loaded fries. The fries were perfectly crispy and tender in the middle, and super flavorful toppings. The tacos were also yummy and I'm a huge corn lover so the elote bowl was perfect.
