I missed my payment that was due on the 18th because I was hospitalized and when I got out today, I called immediately and informed them I wasn't working because of the sickness but now I am and I just needed a 3 day extension to ensure I would actually get my paycheck on time. I was told flat out no with no other options or recourse. Blood sucking vampires would have more consideration than this organization does.

How is it Bluebonnet electric co., has a MONOPOLY on electricity!!!? How are they able to get away…read morewith this? There is zero competition for them! I don't know how my electricity is higher then it was the month before and I wasn't even home!! My a/c is still set at the same temperature, minus I wasn't home, to cook, run washer/dryer, Television or coming in and out of the house as I usually do! I am 100% disabled and on a fixed income!! They have been in my backyard at least four times this year, three of the four, without even notifying me, I let my dog out who kept alerting me, they were very lucky I heard and saw them, one of their techs flipped over my fence trying to get away from my dog! That was very ignorant of them!! When I sent them my concerns, their excuse was we only charge what's on the meter!! If that's the truth why have you been on my property so many times?!!

I called 3 different contractors. All 3 used a mapping program to get an estimate of how well solar would work before installation. One company said solar wouldnt work at my house due to shading. They were wrong. the remaining 2 companies send people to my house to do an onsite evaluation to finalize a proposal. Circulars was the one that seemed to fit my needs. My goal was to provide in the neighborhood of 60-70% of my electrical from the sun. Installation wasnt without flaws. the actuall installation took only one days. it turned out there was a problem with teh inverters that took a couple of weeks to correct. It wasnt the fault of circular but was an inverter specific issue. Circular stayed on top of teh problem and got it resolved. after operating for 4 month my utility came out and said there was a problem,in that I had the wrong meter and no agreement with the utility. this was something I ahd though circular had taken care of. It turns out that the agreement WAS in place and the utility had misplaced it. Thats why the utility hadnt replaced my meter. They came out and met a circular rep and the meter installation took only a couple of minutes. Again I cant fault circular for someone elses issue. Getting solar installed isnt a simple process. there are many steps that have to be gone through. Ive created a blog of my solar experience here https://goingsolaraustin.wordpress.com/ Overall I'm glad I went solar and chose circular

After 3 years of great uses of my solar system my SMA shutting down . Try calling Circular and they moved to Dallas. Email them and they gave my information out to some installer. Try email again and no reply. The reason for the review is they want your business but they don't take care of you in the long run.

I paid my bill on time, and a full two weeks after the charge appeared on my account, the charge mysteriously "bounced back." I had already paid my bill, the charge seemingly went through, and most of what was left in my account had gone to other bills. After this single event, which occurred because of some delay in processing on their end, my account was switched to "cash only." Meaning I now need to go in person to pay my bill each month. This is the ONLY utility company I've ever known to make bills MORE difficult to pay after something like that. It's bizarre and ridiculous. When I moved back to Austin after being away for a while, AE requested a letter of reference from previous energy provider to waive a $200 deposit. I got a reference letter from TXU, only to have AE tell me I might need to pay the deposit anyway and it will be "credited" towards future bills. Never mind that the reason I went to the trouble of getting the reference letter in the first place is so I wouldn't have a ~$300 energy bill on top of all my moving expenses. I think these two examples highlight how this energy provider does not utilize consumer-friendly business practices, and ultimately makes life harder for people who might already be struggling. I would absolutely use a different provider if I had any choice. I had TXU for years before AE, and the difference in customer service and accessibility is night and day.

I also called Austin energy just to see how that affects the power lines and within couple of hours the Austin Energy crew came out and took care of the problem at no cost to me. I am floored by the efficiency and the crew's professionalism.
