Words can't describe our experience with this ranch!!!…read more Darrell was fantastic to help me coordinate this surprise ride for my sisters birthday and my nephews to go for the first time. Our ride was stunning across the fields and trails on the ranch. And they even picked up my dad in the 4-wheeler to feed the cows while we were horse riding so he felt he could be a part of the day (we had purchased feed for the cows ahead). The entire family enjoyed the ride itself, the guides helped us take photos. Next time we would consider staying in the cabins on the ranch. Thank you a million times, it was worth the further drive for the experience itself!!!

We were flying in and arrived late at night…read more(or should I say early in the morning...3am) and it was no problem getting in as there is a code on the locked gate. The driveway was dark, but the cabins were well lit and don't lock. We stayed in one of the 4 identical cabins. The accommodations were nice and had a loft upstairs with two twins. It is a steep ladder and great for kids, but not for adults. The decor was western and featured some taxidermy. This scared some of the little kids we knew at the wedding. The bathroom and main bedroom were a decent size and the kitchenette had a mini fridge and coffee machine, along with the living area with a small TV and chairs/small couch. The grounds were beautiful and was a true farm. The pool was great for the kids and the waterfall made it feel fancy. I loved the open greenery and the animals that roamed, along with the ponies and goats that you could get close to. There is a covered pavilion near the pool that was a hang out spot for our crew. The wedding itself was in the grass next to the reception venue, since it was too wet to have it down in the pasture. The reception venue was large and had high ceilings. The food was pretty good and the two outdoor firepit areas right outside became a place for guests to step out as well. Parking is in a grass lot so beware the shoes you where, especially if it has rained recently.

This is a great place to ride, wether you are looking to take lessons or just have fun. Karen is a…read morevery patient and knowledgeable trainer. I have been her student and leased her horse for 1 year and a half now. I could not be happier with the amenities on property and what I have learned from her lessons. Prices are very reasonable and you will get your money's worth. Property: Has 2 green pastures to ride(she keeps them green all year round). One has a dressage arena + open space and one has a jump course , covered arena, wash area for horses, tack room or lockers. As a Horse leaser: She is a very conscious animal owner, her horses and her boarded horses are healthy and very well taken care of (always shod and if they loose a shoe she takes care it of it ASAP). I have a great leasee/leaser relationship, very straight forward agreement and she lives on property so that is a plus. She has taught me everything from the basics of handling a horse (tacking, grooming) to taking care of a horse when you go to a show or schooling off property (Examples: Pine Hill, Meadow Creek Park, Greenwood Farm). As a Student: I take Dressage and Jump lessons with her and I have come a long way in all this time. She also participates in many off property events like schooling trips and schooling shows, shows in the Houston- Dallas area with her students. She will work with you constructively over lessons to improve on what you need as a rider. Great instructor, great property you really can't go wrong riding/boarding/leasing here!

The ranch and ride was so much fun, being outdoors with the beautiful horses. It was my first time riding- felt nervous but excited- and the team made me feel at ease. I received a mini walkthrough on how to guide the horse to go forward, stop, and turn. My guide was Matt who made my first visit (but not last!) great - told great stories, and shared about various animal/plant activity along the trail. Great activity for a birthday and the hour flew by. Be sure to buy the treats at the end bc the horses sooooo love those, and tip your guide! Such a memorable experience! Thank you!!

I missed the exit to turn into to get to the ranch, I may have missed the sign on the road, but my GPS eventually got me there, lol Upon arrival there's plenty of parking. The email has super specific instructions for your arrival. Including arriving 30 minutes before your ride time. I got there about 20 minutes beforehand and that was plenty of time. If you come with a group belive entire party has to be present to check in together. $68 bucks for a group ride rate per person. If you miss the email or forget all of the steps just look for the check in desk and they will go over everything. You must wear a helmet to ride, for your protection. And they offer free bandanas to protect your hair (and for sanitary reasons) from the helmet, that was nice. They match up the horse with each individual, I think based on height and weight. That takes about 15 min to get everyone matched and saddled up for the ride. The trail is covered by trees in the forrest, but it's still hot out in the elements, so be sure to hydrate before and after. Pro's -Quality time to get to know your horse before and after the ride - zero riding experience required, but does help -staff for most part friendly, willing to take pics for you in and off the horse - children, and special needs folks are welcome Cons - possible emergencies will cut your ride short - riding instruction only given to the front of the large group not the back - ride may not start on time, so give yourself extra cushion time if you make time sensitive plans after. Tip not required, bur encouraged. Overall a fun experience. But may do a private ride in future to get more detailed and intimate instructions. Enjoy!
