This was my first time visiting the Betsy Hotel LT restaurant and I went for Valentine's Day. So I'm not sure if the items are on the daily dinner menu, since it was a special Valentine's Day menu. I must say everything that I tried was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, we had reservations for 8:30 dining and sat right away. They even gave us complementary Prosecco, which a nice touch and complementary tuna tartare appetizer, I was blown away by their generosity. I love mini touches like that, that make guest feel welcomed and appreciated. As my entrée , I went for the ricotta mushroom pasta, it's not a cute photo, but it was so delicious. It was the perfect balance of texture from the mushrooms and savory flavors from the ricotta filled pockets of pasta. The house made bread was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and deliciously paired with their grass fed butter. For an appetizer, we had the Wagyu sliders and crabcake. The crabcake was one of the best I've had. To end the night we had a raspberry heart shaped tart. Soft cake like on the inside with a nice raspberry jam center. We sat outside and people watched right on Ocean Drive. It was a very nice night.

My party of four got a mid evening reservation on a recent weeknight. Located inside the Betsy Hotel, the layout and decor is interesting. Food-wise, everything was solid, nothing spectacular. A strip steak and snapper were what my wife and I shared. Mushroom and avocado on the snapper dish were tasty, while the steak was ok. Solid service, but as noted above, everything was on a 3 star level.

    Popovers!

A friend recently invited me to join her on a hotel scouting mission for some out-of-town partners, and I jumped at the chance when she mentioned The Betsy. I hadn't been back to this South Beach gem since my younger days, and it didn't disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the large, breezy veranda with its rocking chairs and overhead fans set the tone: elegant, coastal, chill. Since The Betsy sits at the quieter end of Ocean Drive, the energy is more refined. None of the usual chaos you find closer to 8th. It felt more like a chic Caribbean resort than a typical SoBe spot. We checked out the menu and decided to stay for lunch and bonus... they were participating in Miami Spice! We were seated right away, and by some divine twist of fate, landed in Nathan's section. And let me tell you: Nathan was everything. Attentive, knowledgeable, hilarious, and devilishly handsome. Now... the food. THE FOOD. It started strong with warm, cheddar popovers (YES!!! POPOVERS) that were absolute heaven. For apps, we shared the chopped vegetable salad (easily one of the best salads I've ever had) and the hen of the woods mushrooms, which were earthy perfection. From the Miami Spice menu, I went with: * Starter: Shrimp bao buns - tender, flavorful, and beautifully balanced * Entrée: King salmon over Moroccan-spiced garbanzos - flavorful, filling, and just the right amount of heat * Dessert: Chocolate mousse - rich, smooth, and not overly sweet We paired it all with their spicy margaritas, which were A+. Already planning my return and you better believe I'll be requesting Nathan's section again. PERIOD.

The Betsy continues to shine year after year, visit after visit. We all love the Betsy, especially our pampered pooches who love the easy access to the park across the street. There's always live music in the lounge, beautiful art all around, and a gentle refined ambience throughout. Excellent overall! We respectfully suggest management kindly considering adding a couple items we could order exclusively for the pups - something like chicken breast, a burger or salmon. Great dining and drinking is available around the hotel. The Caesar salad is one of the best we've had anywhere. Keep up the excellent work! It's much appreciated.

3 out of 5 stars Breakfast at The Betsy South Beach - A Bit of a Letdown, But Great Service Saved the Day After strolling the South Beach strip in search of a breakfast spot, we ended up at The Betsy Hotel, drawn in by its charm. I ordered pancakes with sausage, and my partner ordered French toast with sausage and eggs. About 20 minutes later, our waitress brought my pancakes, along with both our sausage and his eggs--but no French toast. We began eating, assuming the rest was on the way. A few minutes later, the waitress returned to tell us they were out of French toast. My partner opted for pancakes instead, but five minutes later, she returned again to say they were out of those too. We ended up sharing my pancakes, but unfortunately, they were hard and barely edible--we didn't even eat half. While the sausage was tasty and my partner ate some of the eggs, the overall breakfast was disappointing. We spoke to the manager, Rene, about our experience. He was understanding and visibly upset that we were served what seemed to be the last (and likely old) batch of pancakes. He assured us that pancakes are made fresh in the morning and once they run out, that's it--but we should not have been served what we got. Renee comped our entire bill and took the time to genuinely apologize and chat with us. His professionalism and care really turned the experience around. Although the food fell short of our expectations, the service didn't. The waitress was kind and attentive, and we made sure to let her know it wasn't her fault and left her a tip. Overall, breakfast wasn't great--but thanks to Rene, we left feeling valued. I'd be willing to give The Betsy another shot next time we're in South Beach.

Elevated dining experience. Beautiful presentation and excellent taste. The Betsy sushi roll- recommend & the Betsy crab cake. Beautiful combination of flavor and execution of taste. I recommend this spot for sure

I came to the Piano Bar for a Juneteenth event one evening and had the time of my life. The Harden Group was performing and I only planned on staying for one set-- but ended up staying for a few hours. The service and decor of the Piano Bar was excellent! There was a diverse crowd that trickled in and out most of the evening. I can't wait to go back and enjoy any future events The Betsy Hotel may have!

The Betsy Hotel is an incredible place to stay right on Ocean Drive. They have everything: the best food, amazing staff, a rooftop pool and bar, live music, and DOGS!! The owners dogs (Betsy and Rosa) run the show and they're doing the best job ever, and yes in case you're wondering the hotel is dog friendly. Seriously though, this place is rad. The art and photographs are amazing. The restaurant downstairs (the seafood specifically) is truly elite. And the staff are so kind. Shoutout to Daniel and Gustavo at the pool, Carolina at the cafe, and Jose at the restaurant!

My customer service was great. The presentation of food was wonderful. I enjoyed breakfast on a morning when the weather felt perfect, so I dined outside. The facility appeared clean. The floors appeared tidy too, which was a made it look better than some of the sister restaurant locations. This is the 3rd spot visited since my arrival and it tops the other two.

Drink only: I enjoy the Betsy for the piano bar. This place boasts awesome live music and a wide menu variety. Their servers are friendly and quick and the drinks hit just right. Have not stayed here for the hotel but went around and loved the vibe and friendly staff. I'd recommend!

So, The Betsy Hotel is a five-star experience, BUT it might not be one for you. It's not the superglitz of the well-polished high end Vegas properties. Rather the vibe is "You have an old-money multimillionaire friend with a well-maintained family beach house on a lovely part of the East Coast who's invited you to come stay for a while." You know. You get it, right? The Betsy abounds with pleasant places to sit in private or with others - decks, lounges, balconies . . . whatever grabs you right at the moment. The place is kind of a funky maze that takes you a while to figure out; once you do, you feel like you're family. Music sometimes - classy jazz, but sometimes a bit loud. Great beach access and a private pool for when the rip is going. Easy access to great eats. A quick stroll gets you out into the action. But at home, there's a unembarrassedly chill vibe - just family - oh, go ahead and borrow a book! Art everywhere - all worth examining, but there's just so much of it that you don't feel pressure to do right now. Every guest you encounter is gracious and polite (even the kids!) - no one is trying to impress anyone else, but there's an elegance - a tasteful elegance that underlies everything: the certainty is that if you're here, you don't NEED to impress anyone. It wouldn't have been the place for me when I was in my late twenties trying to court my wife and make a splash. But The Betsy sure suits us now. We've stayed all over Miami Beach since the Eighties - my wife and I were both surprised to find that The Betsy struck us as the most conveniently located of all these places. It seemed like nowhere in SoBe was difficult from our home base. We had one of the Betsy Balcony rooms (I like to smoke a puro in Miami Beach, and that gave me the opportunity): it was beautifully appointed - lovely decoration and smart storage features and conveniences. Small, but, not as small feeling as the photos implied to us. WiFi was strong everywhere inside but could fade at certain spots of the courtyard and was a no-go on our balcony. Big thumbs-up for the ceiling fan. The in-room fridge was convenient, as were the desk and all the drawers for storage. (Downside is it's tough to find a place to hide your luggage.) We stayed five days and did not go crazy in the space; on the contrary, we came to really like it. The one thing that every guest we met commented on was how easy it is to get lost in The Betsy: there were two hotels that were connected (on the third floor, through that silly Orb thing you see on Instagram) and there are multiple elevators and stairwells to navigate to get through them. It's worth figuring out: being able to traverse the areas makes everything very convenient (hey, you want to walk out the door to catch your Uber on Collins, right, not have to navigate over to the weird little cut-off part of Ocean by the Starbucks?) and only takes a day of paying attention to figure out. Nevertheless, every guest had an "I got lost!" story and a bartender joked that it would be an ideal sobriety test. (Everyone is helpful when you get lost, and it all makes sense once you do it a couple times.) NB: while it's a pet-friendly hotel (and I'm allergic to pet dander) and there were guest dogs and hotel dogs present, I didn't see a single hair or sneeze once anywhere. Wonderfully clean. All the staff we encountered, from housekeeping to waitstaff and bartenders to management and engineers - they were all welcoming, low-key and gracious. A particular shout-out to Renzo at the front desk, Evan at the bell desk, Art at the concierge desk and especially Jose and Joanny at breakfast - all were particularly friendly and especially helpful. If it sounds like a place for you, go and enjoy. My wife and I will certainly return.

Had amazing huevos rancheros--easily the best I've ever had, thanks to the kick from fresh Serrano peppers. Served sizzling hot on an iron skillet (careful!). Our server Jorge was kind, attentive, and made the experience even better. Great food, great service. Highly recommend!

Super classy place with tons of charm! Little hidden hotel gem at the end of Ocean Drive. Prices are rising and this places justifies it with impeccable customer service and personal touches throughout the establishment. The doormen-bell guys Juan & Fritz had excellent service with great knowledge & suggestions for the stay. They were extremely thoughtful as it pertained to our 4 year old son and consistently showed us love & lots of laughs. Front desk was amazing as Hendrick set the tone/standard of the BETSY with a spectacular room and making sure that our stay was what we needed from day one thru our entire stay. Esra also at the front desk was very helpful during checkout & very personable. He suggested we stay another day or several considering the current hurricane concerns which my wife and I contemplated for about 30 seconds haha. The LT restaurant never let down from the great morning services with Bradless & Rene' to the dinner times with Carlos. Food was impeccable throughout with great selections...and the popovers were beyond amazing! Attention to detail is obvious in this eatery from the outstanding café latté's to the famous award winning cheeseburger! Art & Paul at concierge were great in communication as they applied a special little touch to welcome us as we celebrated my wife's birthday!! It's the small things in life that make it very special and my family and I each felt very special here!!! Thank you to the team @ the Betsy S. Beach, the Family and especially to the CEOs Betsy, Rosa & Daisy & their lovely parents Lesly and Jonathan for making us feel right at home. It was indeed a pleasure and we hope to see you all in the near future. God bless. Cheers!

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

The eggs were nicely cooked, potatoes had great flavor but were a bit cold and very fresh but I imagine freshly made are very solid. The toast was not bad. Avocado was fresh. Good portion and good prices. My friend and I shared a pancake that was pretty good but lacked a bit of flavor but was still enjoyable. I would definitely come back and try other items as they have an all day menu!

5 STARS - Incredible Service at The Local House…read more The Local House is already one of the best spots in Miami Beach -- beautiful atmosphere, great food, and a relaxed coastal vibe -- but what truly takes the experience to the next level is the exceptional service, especially from Ana. Ana is absolutely amazing. She's warm, attentive, and has that rare ability to make you feel genuinely cared for without ever being intrusive. She knows the menu inside and out, gives thoughtful recommendations, and brings such a positive energy that it transforms the whole dining experience. You can tell she really loves what she does. Every time Ana has been our server, we've left happier than when we arrived. If you're visiting The Local House, do yourself a favor and ask for her -- she makes the meal unforgettable. Highly recommend this place, and especially Ana.

After a long day of travel, we received two Prosecco as soon as we checked in and arrived. Our room was upgraded and it was located right across on top of the Naked Taco where the rooftop pool is at. It's perfectly located for anything you want to do, all the good food spots, bars, places, etc. The next day we went straight to the beach and they provide complimentary beach chairs, towels and umbrellas upon request and you just walk yourself to the beach with them. There's nothing like Miami Beach! The water was perfect and it felt so good to just defrost on the sand and dive into the gorgeous turquoise water. After a few hours at the beach, we went back, enjoyed late check out and headed to crunch fitness - which was absolutely worth it! We were able to leave our bags at the front desk while we worked out, grabbed a late lunch, some drinks and then got to come back and enjoy the rooftop pool during happy hour for drinks and snacks until sunset. It was the perfect Miami daycation that we needed!

And the five-star touch continued inside thanks to Melody, the Director of Front Desk, who made us feel like our stay actually mattered. We were celebrating a very special occasion--dinner plans were set, we simply needed a place to spend the night. What we got was an incredible room with a private terrace and a stunning view of South Beach. And as if it couldn't get any better, we were surprised with a complimentary bottle of champagne, which made for the perfect nightcap, and an even better start to the morning alongside our mimosa. If you're staying in South Beach, Dream is more than a name--it's an experience!

However since we paid tripple that price I have to be way more critical. The staff makes it extra special. They were all friendly and had the "I can do it for you attitude." Kudos to the staff. Our "up-graded" room facing half ocean/city was tiny, a tad worn, had a very nice view, and non impressive toiletrees. The worst part of our room was the side of the hotel we were on. Our room was on the industrial exhaust fans side and it was extremely noisy. Had to keep our balcony door closed to drown out the noise. The location of the hotel, as others mentioned is ideal. Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. Small menu with the basics. Food was fair. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool restaurant has the best hotdogs! And we also enjoyed the quinoa salad.

Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.

I asked repeatedly for an early, 2pm check-in. When I go there around 2:15, the front desk area was in chaos. There were 2 people being waited on and I was first in line, but had to wait for ~10 minutes to get any attention. Even with repeated communication, the room was not ready. My kids were heading into melt down mode. Not a great start. I got a call at 2:45 that my room was ready. We headed back around 4 and then it was the same chaos, and very long wait to get our 1 piece of luggage. Once upstairs, the hotel is very neat and tidy and our room was a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony, facing the bay and city. The condition and working order of the room, bathroom, and kitchenette were excellent. We loved the minimalist aesthetic. They did have a happy bday card and some chocolates for me in my room - a very nice touch. The main event downstairs is the pool area. They had a DJ playing vibey lounge music and it was packed with people chilling and drinking as mature adults. Definitely not a wild spring break scene. The pool is heated, too. The best is being in the pool as the sun sets - very magical as the place goes from day to night. Great hotel - lousy front desk. I reviewed the restaurant, Baia, separately - great waterfront vibes, so-so food, and disorganized service.

I went to order an empanada from the front and the man that was behind the counter (after taking a 80 payment for 3 food items and 2 coffees..) walked to the front desk gave the girl a hug went outside did some stuff and then came back to make our drinks. I don't even understand what happened there there was one employee working behind and he just walked away. I was told from the front desk that they only have one available cart for us to use and that the carts they had the previous day "disappeared"- the bellman was incredibly rude and laughed at me bc I asked how the carts from yesterday just disappeared... (might've been a bad question but a place like this that is so expensive... it makes no sense to have 1 cart in the entire hotel) I had to ask I believe a manager(Sebastian) he was so incredibly helpful and got us what we needed and really was the only helpful staff member there he rocks, he apologized oh behalf of the other staff and was helpful and patient with the situation! The food was probably the worst food I have ever eaten- they need to figure out that situation first. For the prices they charge I really wanted to tell the chef face to face how bad it was. The fish was over cooked to the point it was literally so crispy like a French fry there was no moisture left in the fish. The fries (were very good) the coleslaw had no flavor it tasted like mayo and cabbage like nothing else seemed to be in it.. somehow bland... The fish was bland. The tartar sauce was bland. Somehow even the horseradish sauce they gave me was bland. It was sincerely the worst fish fry I have ever eaten in my entire life. And I do not say that lightly........Really haven't had an experience like this anywhere else it was utterly ridiculous absolutely laughable for what they charge and the location. The best part if my meal was the fried and ketchup. So sad. The pastries? The chefs makes pretty croissants but the filling is absolutely terrible it was like curry chicken and peppers nothing like a chicken empanada.. didn't have any beef options all in all I would absolutely never recommend this place to anybody ever. Seems like it's going downhill or staff just doesn't care! I've seen the other recent reviews and they aren't great.. Doesn't seem like they let the chefs put anything on the menu themselves and really streamlined the whole thing terribly. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want rude service and terrible food. The only good thing about this place is that it's on the water..
