Bluemax finished the removal of some very ugly window tint from my daughter's car (before removal, everything was seen through a purple haze) in a very short amount of time, and for the most reasonable price in the Tri-Valley area. My daughter was AMAZED at how great her vintage Volvo looked, and I was extremely happy with the incredibly professional attention given to the project. Great staff, great service. I didn't have a ton of interaction with the staff, because I already knew what I wanted and didn't have a problem with payment, so our interaction was brief. That said, the interaction I did have was great and could tell they were willing to answer any questions I had. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I made an appointment in the morning as soon as they opened, but still had to wait for another person. Not sure if they had multiple appointments at opening or if something else happened, but I'm big on appointments. I will update in about a month about how my don't came out because right now I still have some bubbling on my windows, but it has been only 2 days. I will probably not mind minor bubbling here and there at the end, but if I can't find any (or really difficult to find some), then I'll give these guys 5 stars. I was originally misquoted for ceramic tint and I was graciously discounted a significant amount to make it right. Really appreciated the polite and good customer service. My problem with the service was that I found some damage shown on the picture where they removed part of the door panel to install the tints. Being the second owner of this vehicle I cannot clearly state that the damage was not there prior to my purchase. My car has never had window tinting done and from my knowledge the door panel never had to be touched. I was told later that there was damage seen there prior to the install. I will have to take his word on that because I didn't verify that myself but what makes me feel skeptical is that panel was not pushed all the way in when I got home to double check the door. I noticed the panel sticking out and had to push the panel back into place myself. That's when I noticed the damages along the edges of the part he removed. I think he should have mentioned the damage that he saw to the customer especially if he is working on that specific area. It's very uncommon for a door panel to be removed on a Lexus 50k miles in. That makes me feel very doubtful. And also the work was not finished cleanly. Never good when a customer has to push in a panel that was worked on and finds damage in that area that was supposedly already there. Was told it was while I was in the bathroom so he didn't mention it to me but I also took the picture during the exact time of that specific install as you can see. Also I know window tinting is a messy process but had to wipe down a lot of the mess after the work was finished. Attention to the details and better communication would be good improvements here. I believe in this situation the owner runs the risk of fixing any issues in the area he worked on if he doesn't report previous damage prior to working on it. The evidence is pretty compelling that he damaged my panel when removing it to do the tint. -Edit- After 2 months, there are still several bubbles left on my tint. read more
