I got something different and pretty. Her effort to deliver a quality job. The downside though, which I will not take a star off, for a good reason. Wendy seemed to multitask a lot between the phone and other clients, which made my time there 30 minutes longer than I usually take getting my nails done. However, she put so much effort and detail in doing a perfect job, and giving the results I had initially requested-- making my acrylic nails thin. I really appreciated that. Being that said, when you go there, go with extra time and tons of patience. She's great at what she does, and very friendly.

Initially tried to book with Ariel after finding her on Instagram but she never responded back (assuming she's either already booked for the day I asked or she simply chose not to respond back just because). It is what it is. From there, I just went on the Current Salon website and booked with whoever was available for - funny enough - TODAY @ 12pm. The only stylist avail was 'Sam'. I'll spare the petty-ish details, but this 1 star is mainly for her. I booked for a Blowout Plus w/ the extra conditioning treatment... totaling to $135. I was out of there in approximately 45mins tops. The girl also didn't really talk to me either so it was 99% radio silent lol. Like, come on girl. Get a grip. I'm too nice for this and due to your lack of taking good care of my hair in the way you're supposed to, it made me have to write a one star. For Sam: I don't know you, you don't know me, but from the moment we met till I walked out the door, girl I'm 1000% sure you knew it never felt right lol. Let's be real and not fake anything from this. I have no issues personally with you as a stylist, but of all the master stylists I'm used to seeing on special occasions at a handful different locations, I've never once had my hair done under an hour -- and I have very long, medium-thick coarse hair & it's also damaged from my hair coloring too, which means there ain't no way you gave me a full blown luxurious experience bc you know what you did! What's less than half ass effort? That's what it felt like during my hair wash and as for the blowout itself and your side comments about my hair a couple times thinking you know what's up about it but you don't, I'll say that this is by far the worst experience I've had with any stylist. Ever. Not worth $135 when I felt like I was being treated by a stylist who treated me like we're at Super Cuts worth maybe $30-40 for this type of service. Honestly, I wish it could've been better but Sam's approach during this short hair appointment wasn't up to par of what this salon aims for. Bottom line: I'm not hating or angry about this other than feeling annoyed at how it wasn't giving full effort despite being a blowout, and I thought I was going to get rollers too but I was wrong. How would you feel if you spent $135 to get a blowout plus and got a botched version of it? I mean, it's not horrible, but it's not great at all. Just saying. Said I wouldn't explain too much but here I am lol. No shade for this salon bc I'm sure it's great based on what others are saying; unfortunately I didn't get that type of treatment with Sam. She knows what's up so if she sees this, I ain't mad at you but you did me lowkey dirty with my hair just a bit. I'm not one bit a hairstylist nor do I like to do hair in general, but if I'm truly honest, I could've done my own hair at home and made it that much better than what you did for me. This is just feedback, nothing too deep. Definitely disappointed for sure tho, but whatever. One other thing: prior to my hair appointment today, I went for brunch at Blossom & Root Kitchen and one of the ladies that work there even told me that they get their hair done at Current Salon and it was enjoyable chatting with her about it but man... I'm wrong for thinking I would've had a good time here but didn't. I'd pay $300 for a master stylist to make this better for me than to pay $135 for the lowest and most reluctant work done by Sam. Yeah, lesson learned. And no, I can't make this sh*t up lol. Sam knows. Overall: Very unwelcoming demeanor towards me to say the least. I wish I got up off that chair after you washed it bc then I wouldn't have to deal with what you did to my hair. Limpy blowout, and yes, you could've done better but I know you chose NOT to. The ear waxing process was also much more painful than I've experienced before, and during it, wax got into the hair near my ear. After several minutes of trying to remove it with some kind of liquid, the only solution ended up being cutting that piece of hair off because the wax wouldn't come out. Overall, not a good experience and I won't be returning.
