I love Linya and Rothchilds Boutique! Linya is so helpful and is open to customers saying that something is not their style and she offers an alternative. Her fashion sense and style are impeccable. The prices for her clothing are the same you would find online for the same new items but the advice and styling that she provides is invaluable. The boutique offers different items than you will find at big box stores. The full service styling is great and I have never felt pressured to buy anything especially if I told her it wasn't my style. I look forward to going in and seeing the new styles for each season. I recently visited this store with my coworker to pass some time and try on a few items. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. The store owner was incredibly pushy, phony, and rude throughout our visit. From the moment we walked in, she bombarded us with items, pressuring me to try them on despite my clear disinterest. When I politely said, "That's not my style," she rolled her eyes and replied in the fakest voice, "Ahhh too bad, it'd be so cute on you!" Her behavior made me extremely uncomfortable. The situation worsened when she invaded my changing room without any notice, handing me five items I would never wear. To make matters worse, I tried on a dress that completely washed me out, yet she insisted, "Oh wow, that is AMAZING on you & your figure," despite my coworker's honest feedback that it wasn't flattering. The store owner's insincerity was blatant, and she gave my coworker a side-eye for disagreeing. It's clear that her only concern is making a sale. My coworker, who owns a SUCCESSFUL cute shoe business, mentioned a collaboration, and the look on this owner's face was very annoyed & she pretended to be a little interested, likely so we would buy her items, but you could tell by her face she was annoyed and didn't want to talk about anything that didn't involve her making money right then and there. My coworker followed up three times over a month about it, and he NEVER replied-- not even a "no, not interested, but thank you." It was obvious she was just buttering us up for a sale. Additionally, her clothes are insanely overpriced. I found the same dress online at the brand's site for half the price, and eBay/Poshmark boutiques offer it brand new with tags for a fraction of the price. Look at how she responds to other customers when they write bad reviews - the proof is right there. Do not give her your business! Her clothes are overpriced, and she is phony and behaves like a mean girl. This store owner clearly lives up to her reputation for being fake and pushy (I didn't know this until after I talked to my friends about the experience), and I will be avoiding her store in the future. read more

I don't take the time to write reviews unless I feel it's absolutely warranted. I've purchased from this store in the past. The owner is very pushy and will compliment every single item she sees you in and I felt bullied into purchasing items I was unsure of. I made two purchases, one for $743.86 and another on the same day for $314.29. I purchased 3 expensive dresses. I needed a size 2 in two of the dresses, which she didn't have so she talked me into getting them both in size 4. I was still unsure of one of them so she said, "let's do this, you buy the dress and if you don't like it I will give you a full refund to your credit card." I agreed. Got home, tried them on again and I decided that it's too expensive to compromise on the size. I decided to return the other one as well but I was prepared to get a store credit, because that's the policy. I know the importance of a store getting their inventory back asap so I went back the next (Sunday), store was closed so I went back Monday AM, not open Monday either. Kept the dresses in my car. Returned them on Tuesday and she gave me the store credit for one dress and as agreed, gave me the credit card refund in the amount of the other. Great. Then I got a message saying I need to come in and give the store credit back and she's going to charge my credit card again for the other one because they are dirty, with makeup, sweat stains, other stains and they smell like perfume. 100% impossible. She knew I had a college reunion and I wore the 3rd dress I purchased from her and even proved it with pictures. She disputed the one credit she gave me to my CC and now I'm out $680.00. After telling friends my story, they all agreed that she is pushy and aggressive. I am not out to hurt anyones livelihood but at this point, she's affecting mine. Most importantly, I don't like being called a liar. I can prove that I had no opportunity to wear either of the dresses between the day I purchased and the day I returned them. read more

Went in here looking to buy some new clothes for Mexico. Was super excited and was ready to spend a hefty amount. However, was completely shocked and horrified when one of the managers or owners told me how one of my selections was "perfect" because "bigger girls" usually love what I picked up. Inferring I was a "bigger/ larger girl." This is shocking and left me leaving completely self conscious and hurt. There is no problem with being a "bigger girl"; however, having already struggled with body issues this made me completely self conscious and made me feel embarrassed. When going shopping I look forward to finding something that makes me feel confident and leaving feeling excited about my purchase. But this store made me feel the exact opposite. I spent the whole trip feeling uncomfortable in my body as I was labeled by the store. I hope going forward they can learn not to comment on women's bodies. Whether that be someone being "bigger" or " smaller". No woman wants to hear that while shopping, they want to feel uplifted. I regret spending any money at this store and will not be returning! read more

I love coming here- the pieces are so elegant and the owner is so welcoming and helpful in picking items out. I usually have a hard time shopping because I get overwhelmed with the options in stores, but I have really appreciated the quality of the items displayed in the store. The owner also does a wonderful job helping to pick our accessories and other items to complement the look. I have gotten a few dresses and tops here, and always look forward to an occasion to drop by. Highly recommend! read more

Linya the owner is one of a kind. She knows her fashion and provides personal one on one customer service right in Alamo. I was in to tan and started poking around the boutique. Not only does the boutique carry adorable clothes in a variety of sizes it also carries accessories like jewelry, purses, shoes, sunglasses, etc.. to complete the look.
