I am so sad that I was charged $300 for a serum. I came into your shop the Friday before Memorial Day. My friends gave me a gift certificate for $120. I bought 2 products, and was aware of the cost. I asked if they could recommend a serum to mix with my foundation to spread it on smoothly. A clerk offered me a serum that would mix nicely, no mention of price. Shame on me for not looking at my receipt. I only noticed the debit on my credit card last week, thought it was fraud, and cancelled my credit card. I went back to Blue Mercury, they looked at my purchases, and assured me I bought a $300 serum. I was dismayed, and thought someone would apologize for the lack of communication. Instead the manager asked me if I needed a moisturizer to work with the serum. To most, $300 is groceries for a week or a heating or electric bill. That is me. I will never go there again read more

First time getting a Microdermabrasion done. LynneElle was fantastic. She did a consultation with me first, made sure I was completely comfortable throughout the entire treatment. BEST of all I was so excited with the results. I started getting Melasma about a year ago... I've been at the dermatologist and have been using all kinds of creams... and although the melasma had faded... the microdermabrasion really helped to the point where you can hardly see it after just one session. Love this place! There is a great selection of skin care products, hair care and make up. It is a completely different feel from Sephora. The vibe is more relaxed, and the personalized service can't be beat. Every time I have gone in there, I have been welcomed warmly. I like Bluemercury but at this location the service you get is highly dependent on the sales associate. I have repeatedly shopped here and whenever Hayley is working, my shopping experience is unsatisfactory. Hayley can't be bothered to engage. She seems to only be interested in taking payment. I purchased the M-61 Power peel pads for $110. I asked for some "makeup" samples which are standard issue with a purchase. What she gave me was anything but makeup. I received a hair mask for thinning hair and a sample of a serum for aging skin. Well, I may be in my 50's but talk about age profiling and in all the wrong ways. My hair is extremely thick so I don't think "thinning" is of any immediate concern. This is not a one time experience with Hayley. On another occasion (different associate) I got a Bobbie Brown mascara. Another time a Lune and Aster lip gloss. Both samples resulted in my purchaseing. I don't know what Hayley's problem is but if she is working then I won't shop there. There are no bargains at Bluemercury so treat your customers right or brick and mortar locations won't survive. If Hayley is working, I'll order online. read more

Walking into blue mercury is my utopia! The vibe is zen and everybody is so welcoming as if it is grand opening day and you are their first customer ever! Lol! What really intrigued me about BM is feeling comfortable to touch feel and create your own value of a product, you are actually shopping there and you don't feel intimidated by the sophistication of it all. You don't have someone following you around and breathing down your neck pressuring you to BUY BUY BUY! I understand the retail industry truly but I actually feel like I can exhale and have my own retail therapy experience there. If I have questions they are prompt and there to help you, and guide you. Plus there are so many products to try and smell and feel and buy, it's a girls playground. I felt absolutely no intimidation. There is something for everyone and all skin types that's what got me hooked!! It's like a friendship thing when I go there I know what I want shopping there but I always feel like I'm getting good advice from friends and family who care about you. They want you looking good and feeling good. And the free samples is always a plus! The founders and CEO'S and all managers of this franchise I thank you!
