Very long wait for drinks, salads, and meals. It took over an hour to get our entrees, which were cold. The steaks were fatty and had no flavor. Also ordered the Cajun boiled shrimp, which had no seasoning. The margarita came in a normal drink glass, which is smaller than what's advertised. Terrible service. The young ladies at front door didn't even acknowledge us when we walked in the door and it wasn't even busy. There was almost nobody in the restaurant and tables adjacent to us that were never cleaned off the entire time we were there.. The food was subpar at Best. The salad came out cucumbers were old mushy, and had a bad smell. I ordered the shrimp over pasta and the pasta was so overcooked it was like mush. . My husband had the steak and shrimp and the steak had no taste and no seasoning on it at. The rice was old not fresh. We found this restaurant from TripAdvisor as it was in close proximity to the Paris Landing Lodge. I love the outdoor entrance walk up. The staff were friendly and immediately treated us upon entry. Cool lil Cajun restaurant with a bar area and live music on certain nights, as well! But the main thing, their food is AMAZING! Two of us got the catfish dinner, one of us got the crab legs and another the pork chop dinner. Everything was delicious! And the service was great! We wanted to get carry-out for the next day, to take back home with us, but they hadn't opened yet! So we will definitely be back for more the next time we're in town! DELICIOUS! read more

I do recommend asking if there will be live music when you get there, and asking to sit on the other side if so. Unless you're specifically going for the live music. This is my second time coming here. The first time was five years ago and I remember it being good. But today was REALLY good! I would come here more often, but it's an hour and a half drive. My mother and sister-in-law live in Milan, and Paris is about the halfway point from Ashland City. So that's why we met here today. This place specializes in Cajun food. And the decorations are so cute and fitting. There's plenty of parking, food was delicious, and our server was great. What more can you ask for? For appetizer we shared the crispy green beans(we should've ordered two!) I got to try a bite of my husband's fish and my sister's Reuben. My mother-in-law and I had the shrimp and grits. She's around 80 yrs old and has had shrimp and grits from all over, and she said it was the best she's ever had! It was so creamy and rich. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe I ordered that same dish five years ago. Probably come back and order it again. But one last thing... And this is important! Tonight was the second time I've been told to move seats at the bar. First was at back bar tonight was front bar. Many many seats available. No reserved signs. This seems line a local place that caters to their regulars. They are very discriminatory in their actions. Its seems that if im in work clothes I dont get good service and I get told I have to move seats. When I show up in non work clothes I dont get treated that way. I will never go back. read more

First off, we live in New Orleans × 18 years. This was not cajun food. I had the catfish, terrible. I sent it back. I didn't eat. My family had shrimp and grits, and they enjoyed it. Baked catfish with crawfish sauce, yuck. We do not recommend it. We ordered 2 appetizers, green beans, very good and the Mac and Cheese, terrible we didn't eat it. Our food took over 45 min for 3. We asked to speak to a manager but no one came. The service was very poor, very and we live close to New Orleans so we know bad service. I would not recommend this place. While the gumbo was good (lacking sausage though), the "jumbo wings" were a huge disappointment. First, they weren't jumbo by anyone's estimation, and second, you get 6 scrawny wings for $11.00. This place was ok and there may not be a huge set of alternatives near by. The place was clean with very much an Elvis Theme. The staff was nice and helpful. It's a big place so if you have a large group they may fit the bill. Pretty good variety on the menu, I opted for the etoufee which I heard was spicy. Not so much, sort of bland. However, it was supposed to be better than the gumbo. They had a fried okra special that was good, a little bready. My wife got a large salad and was not too impressed. Twice we have come during posted business hours and they are closed. No signs nothing. Doors just locked. 5pm on Friday night, doors locked.

This was the best meal of the week for me. I ordered Jumbaliya and enjoyed it a lot. After dinner I had a Blanton's on the rocks which was really smooth and a nice way to end dinner. Went out for dinner with friends Sunday April 18th. Very disappointed that the restaurant ran out of any and all chicken breast menu items! Our guest was gluten free, there wasn't much she could order and ended up ordering a chicken salad for dinner!!! Not really what she wanted but ate it anyways. I made the mistake of ordering a special rather then a signature dish. Ordered fish tacos, cajun fried. Son ordered fettuccine. So had to order bowl of gumbo to see. Although fish tacos are not a traditional Cajun dish. They were very good. Fettuccine noodles were also cooked to perfection. However, being a Cajun restaurant I would expect the gumbo to be off the hook. This was not the case. Really bitter. To much thyme and file gumbo. We have tried our best to like this place but it's just disappoints every time. The last time we visited, they were out of several things on the menu and the waitress was horrible! She visited our table 3 times in total the whole 40 minutes we were there. The evening of 2.19.22 our party of or 7 adults and 2 young kids had reservations for 7pm. Our initial drink and appetizers order came timely. Out waitress Stephanie was diligent and accommodating to our requests. Eventually, our food was prepared well and tasted great. Unfortunately that is where the positive review ends. Our entree order was placed at approximately 7:15 and was not delivered till 9:30! The establishment CLEARLY could not support the number of patrons allowed to enter and continue be "served". We brought up our concerns numerous times, but were told OWNERSHIP would not allow management to turn away potential business, even though the current patronage was more than they could support . When our food finally arrived, the restaurant side was vacant. Our total bill of $426 was not discounted and nothing was said other than apologies from our server.
