Everything is delicious and their rolls are great. I recommend Andy's steak on the kids menu.

We come to Murray to visit my wife's family and decided to try The Keg. It seems like they've got…read moresome Louisiana influence, which caught my attention since I'm from there. I didn't try those dishes this time, but I probably will next visit. We started with the cheese coins. The pepper jack was a great choice and definitely worth it. My wife got the fried gulf shrimp. The shrimp had a great crunch and were done well. The onion rings and fries felt like an afterthought though--the onion rings were pretty soggy. I had the Mac Lovin burger. Overall, it was good. The BBQ sauce was a highlight, just wish there was more of it. The burger itself was under-seasoned. The sweet corn nuggets were excellent and my favorite part of the plate. Overall, we had a good experience and I'd give it another shot.

I ordered the Fried Alligator Tail. It comes with their homemade Remoulade and a Honey BBQ. It was fried perfect. Crispy on outside with tender meat on the inside. The Remoulade was great. I didn't care for the Honey BBQ. They have several TV's and they put the UK basketball game on for me at the bar TV. They have a decent beer selection and a full bar.

We stuck it out and got great service, I can't remember our waitresses name but it was 7/5 at about 7:30. She was very nice and friendly. We ordered the mushroom burger and one of the pork dishes to pair with a bottle of wine. The food and wine were delicious! The burger and the pork came out cooked perfectly! The steak fries that came with the burger were different because they were literally a potato cut into four pieces, seasoned and cooked perfectly though! This was a very nice restaurant and it would be perfect for a date night as they do serve excellent food. The bill was about $52 but it was well worth the money. I'm sure that it is busier on the weekends but I hope it picks up at all times because it was amazing and deserves to do well. If we have time, we will definitely stop here again while on this trip!

Making it in the door just before 8:PM to be seated was most likely not a good idea, we took our chances and were seated in the main dinning room, a lovely place. We placed our appetizer order while looking over the menu. Due to the fact that my sweetheart has an allergy to Gluten and most of the appetizers were fried we chose the Seared Scallops, now as not to waste time and knowing they wanted to close early we made our dinner choices, the 14oz Sirloin cooked Medium and the Seared Ahi Tuna with the the marinade on the side as these marinade usually have soy sauce in them and most soy sauces have gluten. Now our appetizer came to the table Fried Scallops ? We looked at the plate and looked at each other, then we asked to see the menu again, we were sure that we ordered the Seared Scallops, the owner came over and asked if there was a problem and we asked about the Scallops and told her about my Sweetie's gluten allergy, she stated that you can have the scallops Seared or Fried, she never offered to take them back and prepare them seared as we were sure that we ordered or to prepare something else for us. Now comes the dinner, my Steak was cooked perfectly medium, but, the Ahi Tuna was over cooked. Needless to say my sweetheart did not have a good dinner or experience at the Brass Lantern however, we will give them another chance as we all know that anyone can have a bad day and it was not all bad, their place is a charming spot just off of the lake. I did read on their website that the owners moved to Kentucky to open this restaurant, the husband has many years of experience in restaurant management and the wife has a bookeeping background, this must have been the bookeeper we encountered as her hospitality and customer service was not her strong suit.
