Making a purchase here requires your palm print and identification regardless of order size. Even buying one single coin requires all your information and they record every bit of it. So, word to the wise, don't store your metal at the address they have listed for you and you will be ok. BlueVault seems okay. I noticed their security door, you apparently have to get buzzed in to open the first door, then an employee will tell you to scan your whole hand on some type of hand scanning machine while in a secured box, then you can open the 2nd door. I assume they won't let you in if you don't scan your hand. I have never seen that before and it felt very strange, but alright. In the late 80's I sold 10 Krugerrand coins at $700 each, had I kept them, I would have made $14,000 profit but I needed the money for mountain of bills. Before Covid, a Maple coin was $1400, it shot up to $1780 but I decided to buy a few, the store I bought it from in the 80s went out of business a long time ago. I was shocked blue Vault seemed to be the only one selling gold coins, the rest are just antique stores selling an occasional coin. We agreed on $1,780 so I finished my lunch n went over there w the cash , imagine my shock the guy had sold them to someone else, to say I was upset would be an understatement , it was not fair n very poor customer service, he could have told me he could not hold 1 hour, then I could hop in the car n be there in 10 min, I was upset n haven't been there over a year. That guy no longer works at Blue Vault. Raymond is the new guy, he's very pleasant to talk to on the phone n in person, he quoted $1,882 ouch!!! But I decided to buy just 1coin n watch the price going forward. Crazy Joe is spending (stimulus n oink projects ) money like a drunken sailor, 6 more trillions will push the price of gold to the stratosphere especially if the fed chairman is going to jack up the interest rate. In Huntington Beach a $1.1 mil would only buy a house size of my closet! Lol a realtor told me there were 27 offers!!! So gold prices will go up w runaway inflation but it might come down if interest goes thru the roof n people rather collect fat interest vs owning gold that pay nothing. I can not say enough about the service I and my husband received at this establishment. Wow, just wow! First, I felt very safe and secure entering the building with a man trap door (same type used by the banking industry), security systems and protocols in place. Next, came the friendly smiling employees we were greeted by immediately. The process was thoroughly explained right away, and we never took our eyes off our property the entire time throughout the process until we collected our check. Do Not Come Here Unless You Want To Get Scammed! I went into this Blue Vault location on October 11th after seeing their competitive prices online. The store itself is clean, but don't let that fool you into thinking their business practices are as such. I came in to buy a couple ounces of gold and over 70 ounces of silver. First they brought out 2 1oz American Gold Eagles and being a former employee of a coin shop, I began to inspect them for any damages. Needless to say I found one coin was marked with small white spots, which is common for coins that have been handled poorly. I asked the sales person about the spots and he agreed to switch it out for a second coin, which was also damaged, this time with clear scratches on the face. Both employees in the room agreed that the coin wasn't properly inspected. Well it appears 3rd times the charm because they finally managed to bring me a coin that was acceptable. Now the energetic employee seemed trustworthy enough, even after the gold debacle, to not warrant me carefully inspecting all 72 Silver Eagles I had purchased, great mistake... When I got home I decided to inspect a few of the silver coins only to find that some are damaged and completely 2nd quality. In retrospect it feels like these guys are trying to run scams on naive investors new to the bullion market, or those of us who are too lazy to inspect large amounts of coin. It's either they have shady business practices or are too naive themselves to know the difference between a 1st and 2nd quality coin. read more

The prices on the bullion are a little higher than other places I usually go to, but it looks like a nice facility when I walked in, plus it is local and close to my home. The young man at the front desk answered all my questions courteously so I decided to make a purchase and hopefully it will be my local to go place to pickup some bullion; but John in the room was such a snob, he never smiled, gave me short rough answer and acted like he didn't care about my business and rushed me through.
