I can…read moreunderstand both the pros and the cons in building this type of system from a business perspective. One of the major pros for the business owner has to be the number of employees. The number of employees with a DIY tunnel system is much fewer than a full-service system. Allow me to explain the process. First, you pull up to the gate and use a touchscreen to choose the package that you want. The packages vary in add-ons and price. The more add-ons you get, the higher the price. They also have unlimited use packages where you can go to the car wash on a monthly basis as often as you want. Those automatically renew on your credit card every month until you give them notice that you want to discontinue. After you go through the car wash, you pull around to the left and use the "free" vacuums. They also have a device that washes your carpeted floor mats. It does a pretty good job. You can walk inside the office and they will provide towels that you can use to dry your vehicle. The blowers in the tunnel do a pretty good job of getting your car dry but as the typical tunnel systems go, it will leave water spots behind on your glass, chrome, and mirrors. They also sell automotive cleaning products inside. I did not look at them so I do not know if the prices are competitive to a local auto parts or Wal-Mart. As you can see, much of the system is DIY. Therefore, the number of employees you see working or fewer than a full-service system. Another pro is the amount of time you spend there. Even though you are doing it yourself, It is faster than going to a place and standing around waiting for employees to dry your vehicle. Personally, I would rather save the time and do it this way. One of the cons is simply the fact that tunnel system brushes never get all the dirt off your car. If you are drying your vehicle, You will notice that there are some places the brushes simply do not reach. You will need to clean those with elbow grease. However, I still prefer to do this over a full-service system simply because I don't think they pay that close of attention to the missed spots either. It is still cheaper to wash your car in your own driveway. However, you may not have all the amenities that you need to do a complete job. This is a more affordable option than going to a full-service business. Bottom line - This is a DIY tunnel system car wash that allows you to clean your car on an as-needed basis (or if you choose, as many times as you want on a monthly basis). You can vacuum your car and wash your floor mats yourself if you wish. All in all, I am happy with the process and price. I will be back.
