I received a custom facial from Lani and it was a great experience. She was super friendly and explained exactly what products she'd use based on my skin from her observation and my concerns. The facial was awesome and I'd love to put it in my routine consistently but it'd be a bit of a splurge for me. Now the space itself was beautiful but could use some improvements for customer experience. First the room I received my facial didn't have a curtain it was open which made it hard to relax and wind down because I could hear people moving throughout the spa and talking. A lot of talking. Not obnoxiously just more than I'd care to hear since I came to relax. Lastly. The music choices could also be a bit more relaxing like calming/soothing instrumentals rather than music with lyrics. Overall I'd visit again but some changes could make this a much better experience.

My nail tech was polite and a junior artist so I did have a lot of patience and did not expect expert work, however, I suffered multiple cuts on my foot and hand that caused a lot of bleeding along my cuticle. Also my paint on my toes were ruined with small bubbles since she did use AirDryer spray, but not enough for me to return it can be smoothed out at home with nail polish remover.

Please *note* I bought the "Full set Xtreme Eye Lash Extension" Groupon for much cheaper price than it is now. The inside of Lash Studio by Elle was very posh, clean and cute. There was coffee, and some chocolate in the sitting area. The studio was very clean and beautifully decorated. The certified Xtreme Lash stylist, Amber, was very nice and very informative about the difference between Xtreme lashes and other lashes. I've gotten my eyelashes done many times before in NYC. I was hoping Amber would be my monthly go-to eyelash stylist but unfortunately, my first visit and I wasn't 100% satisfied with the results. I am going to give a fair and honest review so here's why: I showed Amber a couple of pictures of how I want my eyelashes from Lash Studio's own Instagram and Facebook pictures of their before and after Eyelash extensions. I was very impressed with the photos Lash Studio by Elle had (hence why I bought the Groupon). The photos display women with long AND thick lashes. However when Amber asked me what I wanted and I showed her pics from their own website, she said she cant do volume/thickness, she can only "lengthen my eyelashes to give it a mascara effect"... Problem was that I already have naturally long eyelashes, I needed volume... I wanted her to be able to work with my type of eyelashes but she seemed to only know how to work with people who have eyelashes similar to hers which are short eyelashes. I even showed her a picture of two ladies on their company's website to indicate that's exactly what I want but Amber said I'd have to pay her an EXTRA $20 for VOLUME and THICKNESS on my eyelashes. I expressed what I want, as I've had previous eyelash stylist in NYC give me thick voluminous eyelash extensions many times before for the same price, and within the same amount of time. Amber repeated she can make it thick for $20 more otherwise she's just going to add eyelashes for length purposes and that she would try her best. (sigh) I laid down hoping for the best, like any girl on her first visit to a salon. After 3 very still tiring hours, I notice she did a nice job but not a great job. Her work was nice enough for me not to say anything negative, but not nice enough for me to want to come back to do it again. I know she tried her best,as putting on Eyelashes is very tedious and takes lots of patience on both ends, so the 3 stars I've given are going into Amber's effort, the interior decor of the studio, and the friendly atmosphere. Going to Glamour Eyes will permanently harm your natural lashes!…read more Professionals certified in lash extensions know that you should not put more than one natural lash to each extension, but Glamour does this. I recently had my extensions removed and they had clumped like 5-7 natural lashes together! This wreaks havoc on the growth of your natural lashes, they will never be the same. I also had the glue all over my eyelids (when it's only supposed to be on the actual lash), and this gave me a really severe allergic reaction where my eyes puffed up to three times their normal size! I had to get the extensions removed and now have only my stubby little natural lashes (prior to Glamour eyes, I had really beautiful lashes). You're way more likely to get an allergic reaction if the glue is touching your skin, even if you don't have a problem with allergies or anything normally. This company is irresponsible- they say on their Facebook page that they're certified professionals, but I doubt that. Putting glue all over your eyelids and clumping lashes together is not proper practice! Seriously wish that I had never gone to Glamour Eyes- NOT worth it at all!
