As I was driving down YL Blvd a few mornings ago,the Blush sign caught my eye. I did a quick Yelp search, saw all the stars and called the shop. I asked if they were taking new clients, and the lady who answered the phone said Yes, and that I could get in right then if I wanted. I was so happy and a wonderful lady named Terry gave me the best haircut I have had in forever! After a brief consultation, She knew exactly how to cut and style my hair and I walked out feeling like a New Woman ! Terry is a literal answer to prayer. This is my second time being gifted by Lyna's beautiful lashes. I received many compliments from family and friends almost immediately after getting my Russian volume set on, and now refer anyone and everyone to Lyna. I have been going here when it was ENails and now that it's under new ownership and has been renamed to Blush ... It has gotten even better. I'm Viet but am always being mistaken for Filipino and every nail place I have gone to before here has been gossipy because they think I don't understand Vietnamese but NOT here ... The employees are amazing. I have never heard them say negative things about their clients in Viet even before they knew I was Viet myself. They are family oriented and do not gossip. I love that. I can't stand gossip. They are super friendly and caters to their clients. They offer you water, tea, and snacks! The place is decorated beautifully! All the technicians always do a thorough job on my toes no matter who I get there. I never feel rushed no matter how busy it gets. I'm always satisfied. The lady who does my acrylic gel nails is Francis. She does a magnificent job. I've gone to way more expensive places and they are not as thorough as Francis. She really listens to how I want my nails done. She always remembers what colors I like and totally sets them aside when she knows I am coming in. I also go here for eyelash extensions. I cannot put on fake lashes to save my life and always wanted to try eyelash extensions but I keep hearing horror stories and how expensive they are. Well ... When Lyna (the owner) offered her clients a special for the mini eyelash extension for $25 instead of $70 ... I could not pass that up so I tried them. The best thing ever! Lyna does a beautiful job and she's super careful and particular about your lashes so they come out looking super natural! I even let my 16 year old get her lashes done by Lyna and they are super pretty. I can't imagine not having lashes. What a difference! They totally make your eyes pop!!! I love love love Blush!!! Can't even feel them right now. The process is so simple that I fell asleep. It didn't bother my eyes at all during the procedure and still doesn't afterwards. There is no other place I would go than to Lyna at Blush Beauty for my lash extensions. I've been seeing her for almost a year now, every two to three weeks, and I am so satisfied and thankful for her! Lyna's work with my lashes are incredible and I always leave feeling so beautiful and refreshed. I've gotten so many compliments about my lashes - how fluffy and full and long they are and still so natural! I work out and sweat a ton almost 4-5 times a week and my lashes still make it! wow! I just had my winter formal last night and I decided to get my makeup and hair done at Blush because my friends were all saying how they did such a great job for their dances and parties. So I decided, why not? I went in and right away I was taken in (w an appointment of course) and the person who worked on me was so kind and good at what she does. Her name is Lyna so if you ever go there and it's your first time, she is your safest bet to getting a great natural makeup look and voluminous hair. I've been to Blush before and never been turned away . I went today and the woman and I should have got her name was just sitting there doing nothing. I told her I needed a change of nail gel color. She rudely looked at me from head to toe first. Although I was dressed nice and looked nice, I don't know why she rudely responded" I don't have time". There was a Hispanic nice lady there that cuts hair told her "your not busy your appointment canceled", but she looked at me and said no I'm busy even tho she was just sitting there. I'm disappointed in some rude customer service now a Days. Im never going there again. I went across the street to 4 seasons Nail & Spa... They were so nice. They greeted me with water. Just received the worst gel manicure I've ever received. Similar to another reviewer my nails are uneven and misshaped. She put so many layers on (sometimes without even having me put them in the dryer in between) that the polish is so thick and bumpy. I will never go back and will highly recommend others to not go. I came into Blush with high expectations because of the great reviews here and elsewhere, and maybe that was the problem. They did a decent job on the mani/pedi itself, but I sat in a massage chair for 20 minutes after my appointment time before they even began working on me (which is not a BAD thing, but if it hadn't been my day off, it might have been a problem). I can only assume they don't do have any special types of pedicures, as none were offered to me (even though I really could have used a little bit of extra loooove for my sad, calloused feet). The two ladies who worked on me were very sweet and did a thorough job, so no complaints there. The true test will be how well the manicure holds up in the coming days, I guess. I felt badly, though, because I guess they wanted to leave early today. Even though the sign was posted that they closed at 6:30 (and my appointment was at 4:30), when I was leaving at 5:25, the door was not even closed behind me before they turned off the signs and shut the place down. I know Lyna has littles at home, so I felt badly that I had made them stay. All in all, it's a fine, well-appointed salon. Would I go back? Well... It's been 5 hours since my pedi, and my feet are just as rough as they were before I spent my $30 + tip, so maybe not. The hunt for a regular nail salon continues... read more
