I have a suspicion that a lot of City Buddha merchandise is now sold here due to seeing similar finds. City Buddha used to be a shop on the same street with treasures directly from Thailand. Both a treasure. As far as countries of origin, there are many at this location. There are plenty inspirations from the East - Buddha statues, Indian gods, and incense. There is African merchandise - Ghanaian necklaces, waist beads, and masks. There are Russian-inspired hats and Mexican blankets. Then there's everything in between. As far as variety, you can find clothing, shoes (Birkenstock), decor, walking sticks, jewelry, accessories, statues, instruments like djembe, and more. If yoga or meditation are your passions, you'll find so much here - crystals, incense, sage, tapestries, blankets, statues for your altar, and more. Pricing greatly varies. Some of the items are higher prices like $70 straw purses. Other merchandise is deeply discounted like alpaca gloves or seasonal items like waist beads. I was very happy to find $5 waist beads and added a necklace for $12 something. They were fair trade items from Ghana. Great value! SERVICE: The owner is very nice and helpful. He makes everyone feel seen and welcome. I always feel comfortable asking questions. You can also get a free quartz crystal with your purchase which is very nice. He truly seems like someone who finds deep meaning in what he does. PARKING: Limited street parking is available in the area. There is a covered parking garage across the street with free parking. I have been a customer of Passport to Peru for years. I most love that I can walk in and find everything needed for my obscure hobbies. Djembe for community drum circle in Coventry Peace Park? Check! Merchandise: As you enter the boutique you'll find men's merchandise to your left and women's merchandise to your right. Women's sizes go up to L. Some of the brands that can be found in the store are Silk laundry, Mijeong park Marle, and St Agni. The clothing is well curated with pleasant feeling fabrics - silks and soft fabrics. The owner suggested considering unisex look and checking out the men's collection. You can certainly find a dress for your night out in Cedar Fairmount. Clothing is around $100-200 at least based on the tags I've looked at. There are a few jewelry pieces and accessories in store. Home decor is on the shelf in the center of the store and few items are strategically placed around the store. You'll find ceramics, the thinned glass, vases, candles, and more. Most articles are worthy of display in your home. Art coffee books are also scattered around the space like Auguste Rodin's art. Most artifacts have little stories about their exclusivity and European origin. You'll find plenty of distinct pieces to spoil yourself or other people in your life. They are pricey but every object seems well curated, high quality, and hard to find elsewhere in the wild. Service: The owner is very friendly and introduces you to the space. Beverages are offered to customers. The guests look like they're from the pages of Vogue. I definitely should have dressed up to shop here. Neighborhood: The neighborhood where the boutique is located is known for its dining and new-ish wine shop. All are within walking distance in the same commercial district. It was a highlight of the trip! The market is right downtown in a gorgeous old building, make sure to look at the ceilings. There are public parking areas all around outside, but it does get busy. There are also side buildings and outdoor stalls nearby, so be sure to check them out. Inside is rows upon rows of amazing local vendors with food to enjoy there, or many items to buy and take home. Meat counters, fresh vegetables and fruit, sauces, Middle Eastern food, Greek, Mexican, Gyros, sandwiches, baked goods, salads and so much more are all over. Even stalls that repeat the same types of items have their own unique spin and history. It's busy, with people everywhere looking and enjoying their purchases. Prices are reasonable, especially how fresh and local everything is. I bought a bunch of small things to eat while we walked, together we bought shishkabobs and steak to enjoy at home the following day. It's a great place to shop local!

The specialties here are endless. The uncooked pierogies nearly broke my heart because I had no way to take them home and cook them myself. Sausage lovers will be in heaven, and beyond that, you'll find incredible produce, fresh fish, quality proteins, and a wonderful representation of the many cultures that make Cleveland what it is. All of this is housed inside a historic building with stunning architecture that makes the experience even better. Pro tip: Climb the stairs to the second floor for an incredible bird's-eye view of the entire market. It's the perfect way to appreciate just how special this Cleveland landmark really is.

Furniture and custom leather belts and hats. They have a place you can purchase dips for fruit and veggies and they make up beautiful trays daily. Homemade stuffed pretzels with everuthing from breakfast items inside them to just cheese. Fresh cup up fruit and veggies. Every kind of prepped salad you CAN think of. Veggies who veggies sliced. Fruit whole fruit sliced. The best place to find goodies for the weekend. Fresh meats to buy and take home and cook. Ready to eat prepped foods to eat there or take home. A shop for spices and wonderful things to use in the kitchen. This place also has a section where you can buy homemade fresh baked cookies cakes pies, breads. So much here to look at. Candy too. We went back to eat and again I had the Egg veggie wrap. It was fabulous. My friend had the breakfast burger. Crazy good. I liked that the store sells plant pots and bottle sprays. The store is small but there are plenty of plants to choose from of varying sizes. It will be celebrating one year in business this June and I am wishing it many more years of success! First of all, it smells fantastic in the shop. All the plants are well taken care of and there's a big diversity of offerings here - no matter your lifestyle, you can find a plant for you in this shop. And of course, there's also plant-themed merch here as well, like plant momma/daddy hats, stickers, keychains, etc. The prices are very reasonable as well. I picked up a lovely, pre-potted plant for my mom for less than $20 with a 20% discount I had! I am a plant murderer, but my sweet mother is not. I will definitely be popping into Peace Lily for more of my future plant gifts to friends and family in the future!

Walked into the store and was rudely asked by the owner, "do you live around here?". Very offensive. This is the equivalence of being followed around the store as if you're some kind of thief based solely on your ethnicity. I was shocked that the question was asked and did not respond while in the store, but called later to discuss it with the owner. Well, instead of discussing this, the owner was loud, very insensitive, and unapologetic. She emphasized loudly, "well you must not live around here", "if you're offended, you must not live around here", "you don't look like you live around here" as justification for her comments. So, I guess the shop is only for customers who "live in the area" or "look like" they live in the area. For the record, I've resided in Cleveland Heights for most of my college years, and spent a few years living at the top of Coventry on Euclid Heights Blvd. What's baffling to me is the manner in which this lady responded coupled with the absolute disregard as to how that question would make a person of color feel. Side note, the majority of the items are way over priced. Needless to say, I will never venture into this overpriced so-called boutique run by an insensitive racist. read more

My reasons for 2 stars: 1 - They have some really nice things there but some really tacky stuff too - and that compromises the overall quality of the selection. 2 - Way too expensive! It's just not a practical shop. I refuse to pay $200+ for a cotton dress or a sweater with a bird on it that is really just a basic sweater. 3 - During the last few weeks of summer they displayed a sign in front of the shop that said "Friends Don't Let Friends Shop at the Mall". It really rubbed me the wrong way, and I haven't been there since. Do they honestly think the average woman can afford to get their entire wardrobe from overpriced boutiques like Blush? Excuse me for wanting to save some money and get clothes that are usually just as nice for a whole lot less! Never have I felt so degraded when looking to make a dress appointment. when discussing availability for the appointment we both went went through our schedules he stated he had availability for Thursday but I specificity said that that would not work for me because I had work all day on Thursday. So he said he had availability Friday the 19th so I booked the appointment. So come time I arrive 15 minutes early for the appointment out of courtesy and no one was there. So I gave it a little more time until it was five minutes till my appointment and no one was here still so I decided to start calling the shop to see if my appointment was still happening. After calling 4 times and it being 20 minutes passed the time of my appointment I FINALLY get a call back. And it's the same guy from before and he asked me why I was there... and I was like "well we made an appointment on the phone the other day for Friday the 19th." to which he responds " no ma'am your appointment was booked for Thursday." to which I responded " that doesn't make any sense because last time we called I stated that that didn't work for my work schedule and when discussing other days you said Friday was also an option." so then he says "well on my calendar it says the appointment is booked for Thursday." Usually I'm a bit of a pushover and I give up pretty easily but I've been looking for dresses for a long time and it's really been a struggle so I'll admit in that moment. I did get a little fed up with being talked to like trash and I stood up for myself and I said "no because on my calendar it says Friday the 19th." to which he Snickers at me again and just as well we can just reschedule the appointment for another time so I agreed to another date to go back and try dresses on. but you know what after getting that phone call an hour or two later and just analyzed how that whole conversation went down on the phone I realize that I'm not gonna find my dress here, especially with how I was treated over the phone. I can't imagine how he treats customers in person Especially if their customers on a budget. Trying on dresses for your wedding is supposed to be a very special and memorable moment for the bride and I have never felt so disrespected and unwanted. I think this gentleman needs to rethink his strategy and how he speaks to people, especially potential buyers. As someone who works in commission based sales for a living I don't judge anyone by how they dress or how they speak or what their budget is because a customer is still a customer. Do better.

The satin bonnet has been working well for me since I bought it and it stays on my head as I sleep and doesn't fall off. I use the bonnet when I go to bed at night. I don't use the edge control comb often at all because I only bought it to add my total store price to $5 (the store's credit card machine is $5 or more). The only entrance is through La Mocha Essentially, the two are sister businesses. I never heard about Uptown Vintage, but I never say no to vintage adventure. And so, I checked it out. INVENTORY: One small storefront filled with predominantly household goods and furniture. The inventory is probably 1960's to current time. There are a few clothing items - men's jerseys and baseball hats (like Hooters hat). The space is filled with textures like wicker, knits, and ceramics. There are a few unique pieces like African sculptures and few gorgeous vases. Other than that, I found the inventory to be pretty overplayed. The prices were considerably higher compared to other shops in Lakewood and Cleveland. For instance, wicker fish was $60, and emerald velvet bench was $300. The store accepts Afterpay unlike other similar businesses. SERVICE: The service was okay, pretty transactional. I appreciated that help was offered with shopping. PARKING: There is no dedicated parking lot but street and meter parking is aplenty in this part of Lakewood. Stop in if you're in the mood to check out vintage with coffee in hand. The store was not for me due to pricing and me preferring vintage from earlier time periods. Still, I can see how someone can find unique home decor here.

I enjoyed my quick browse of the store. Uptown Finds is owned by the same owner who owns LaMocha Cafe next door so stop on in to the cafe too. There is a small connecting path/door between both businesses so you won't have to go outside to visit Uptown Finds.
