Too busy telling me what I did wrong when I was explaining to her what happened with previous nail appointments where I was notated as a no show when it was a mistake on their end, but she was being more sarcastic and didn't care to hear. You will not freely charge no card of mines. Remember it is too many spa's around to act as if you are the only one. Please work on your customer service service at this spa it doesn't stop with her. read more

I have to say Abby, who does my nails, is absolutely wonderful--but unfortunately, I will not be returning. For my last appointment, the salon called and asked me to come in early to accommodate them. I explained I was coming from work but would try. While I was on my way, they called again to say I was late and even told me if I was "late" one more time, I'd have to prepay for future appointments. I wasn't late--I was actually trying to get there early for them! Then today, I wasn't feeling well and had to leave work. I called at 2:20 to cancel my 4:00 appointment, but because it wasn't a full two hours' notice, they told me this would also count as a "late" on my record. This is not how customers should be treated. The location on Celanese doesn't operate this way, and honestly, with so many nail salons to choose from, there's no reason to put up with such poor customer service. read more

This review is based on one visit & I tend to like more visits before I review but I will adjust a review if necessary. This visit occurred because my regular salon, I Love Nail Bar was closed at 4:00pm due to rain, which was odd because it was just normal rain. I called Blush as it was a nearby salon w/ a good rating. I was so grateful they accommodated me because I have an upcoming event & really needed my nails done. I'm happy to report I had a delightful visit with Shanna doing my nails & Cena doing my pedicure. My experience was so positive I made another appointment. The cherry on top was the massage chairs & good Cabernet. TBH I wish I Love Nail Bar didn't force me to try the competition because I received excellent service at Blush. Great overall visit! I frequent this establishment's sister location on Celanese Road and found myself at the Dave Lyle location today, March 28 for a seasonal pedicure because the Celanese location was fully booked. Upon walking in, I found the place to have a total of 4 customers which was expected for a Monday at 10:45am. I checked in, washed my hands (per COVID protocol) and worked on picking a color. About a minute into my decision process I hear someone yell "you ready?" Not knowing if it was directed to me, I looked up and had someone wave me to the pedicure chair. I quickly settled for a color and went to sit at a chair that had the previous customer's used drink glass. This was by far the absolute WORST experience I've ever had with this establishment. The hot towel and hot stones for the "elevated experience" were barely warm. The used drink glass? Remained next to me the entire time even after being brought a drink. The cuticle removal and actual pedicure? Nonexistent and I'll have to finish it at home. The entire process was rushed and I felt like a complete inconvenience to her the entire time. Maybe my tech had an emergency and had to rush through my "special" pedicure so she could go; who knows. All I know is that my pedicure was done in under 15 minutes but the tech took her sweet time on her phone as I waited for my barely warm towels to go cold as well as rubbing my legs. I'm not typically one to complain or write negative reviews, but wow this was horrible. There were tons of blemishes on one toe which I asked to have re-done and boy, was that not received well. She fixed it and walked away. No "bye" or "have a good day" or "thank you". Planned to express my frustration to the receptionist but she didn't care enough to ask how everything went so here's a review instead. Do yourself a favor and skip the Dave Lyle location. The Celanese location is a million times better and truly makes you feel appreciated for being a customer. read more

Not a fan. New to the area, this was the first salon thatI have been to in Rock Hill. My experiences (3)have been with the Blush off of Dave Lyle Blvd. I had the deluxe pedicure that included a leg massage, paraffin wax, hot Towel, etc. The tech was polite enough, and provided a decent pedicure. The finish peeled off very quickly, much quicker than I was accustomed. On the second visit, I had just the basic pedicure but did request a callus treatment. Same tech, same adequate pedicure. When I questioned about the previous finish chipping so quickly, she suggested that it was in the off brand of nail polish that I had selected. Why 2 Stars? Although the salon was clean and the tech was adequate there was not the usual level of attention and follow through. For example, I was not put under a dryer to dry my toenails. I was left sitting while the tech moved on to the next guest. I was disappointed that the salon would carry inferior nail polish and expect me to know the difference. I have been severely turned off by the salon's appointment making process. It sounds great in theory; until you can't get an appointment when you need one. Not only did I find getting appointment difficult but on occasion impossible. For a three day period,I called the salon. I either received a recorded message, no one answered the phone, or was put on hold for an unreasonably long amount of time. Finally, I find the expense of the salon to be higher than most. read more

I went to Blush recently before a vacation and was so incredibly pleased by how beautiful my nails turned out. I did a full set dip powder and the nail technician (Sophie, I believe) did a wonderful job- the best I have ever seen my nails look. After a week of playing in the ocean and being fairly rough with my hands, my manicure has stayed put with no lifting. I will definitely be returning. read more

I had a nail appointment scheduled for 2:45 with a friend. We arrived on time and had to wait 15 extra minutes. Adding onto that, I was notified of "three no shows" meaning if I decided to continue using them I would have to put my card in file. If I didn't show, my card will be charged the full service amount. However, at the celanese location on my "second no show" I called THREE times and no one answered. Therefore, no one was able to be notified of me not showing due to emergency circumstances in my family. My "third no show" was actually today and I once again called twice and this time it didn't even ring which meant the line was busy. I'm not sure how this falls onto the customer. Really makes no sense. I will not be going here again! I have also been extremely disappointed recently with my nails. I was pressured into getting "dip" as the lady repeatedly asked me. My nail paint was chipping within two days. I have also experienced my toe nail polish caving in. This place is the worst in rock hill. They rush with all their clients. Majority of the time, a word wasn't spoken to me while I was getting my service done. I have had nails break (acrylic full set) within two to three days. Mind you, I'm not doing anything extravagant with my hands after I get my nails done like mechanic work. The Dave Lyle location is also extremely loud and busy if that sort of thing bothers you. read more

I was reflecting on my experience here about a year ago and finally decided to leave a review. I hate to be negative but I also value honesty. I was discussing this with my mother recently, who I found out later went as well at a different time and she had a very similar experience (it's possible that we both had the same technician). My bridesmaids took me here before my wedding last year, and it was my first time ever getting my nails done. I was made to feel uncomfortable and foolish from the start and left wth a poor end result. The woman (whose name I can't recall) who was helping me was very rude and put me on the verge of tears. I was told that my choice in colors was wrong and bullied into a color that I disliked and did not go with my wedding dress, made to feel like an idiot when I didn't know what to do without being told (like I said, my first time ever), fussed at loudly for biting my nails (which I had immediately pointed out I was embarrassed by), fussed at for not using the massage chair (which I am uncomfortable with as t hurts my back) or taking any of the offered wine, and was told angrily to relax multiple times (it's hard to relax when you're being yelled at by a stranger in public). I was completely miserable the entire time I was there and the final product lasted all of a few hours before chipping. Definitely not worth the price that my bridesmaids paid for the service. I would like to give Blush the benefit of the doubt, since so many people seem to like it. Maybe this was just a bad day for the technician who I had the misfortune of ending up with. That may be the case, but I will definitely not be returning and, based on my own experience, would not recommend the salon. read more

Will not go back. I booked two appointments. One for myself and one for my friend. This was a Birthday gift for my friend and a day out for us both. When I booked I told them I might need acrylic with gel as my nails had broken. For my friend it was an acrylic fill with gel polish. We both had a 12:00 pm appointment. Having never been to Blush we were looking forward to it. Both of us were called back to the bar stations. They immediately started on my friend but ignored me. When I asked where my tech was a nearby tech told me she was busy! More time went by and I asked again to be told they didn't have anyone who could do my nails! I was told my appointment was for gel only but since I needed acrylic they didn't have anyone to do it! As I sat there next to my friend trying to figure out why this happened, I was asked to move! I went back up front and sat in the waiting area while my friend got hers done! The fella up front told me he was going to talk to the manager to see if they would give me a discount if I returned. I heard him on the phone for quite awhile mentioning my name. When he hung up all he offered me was another appointment. I told him no thank you. Waited for my friend and paid for hers. I wasn't even offered a water!! I will not go back and neither will my friend. I will also be telling everyone I know to not go there! read more

Prior to today, Blush would've received five stars across the board, no question. But today, well, I'm not really pleased. For one, the strict appointment policy can be slightly annoying if you decide last minute that you want a manicure and then get told you can't get it done that day. Today I had an appointment because I wanted a gel polish change. Everything was going well, but I observed that my nails were growing pretty quickly since getting a fill in last week. I would've gotten another fill because I know my nails grow quickly (thanks ItWorks vitamins!). She insisted that it wasn't necessary. Well she applied two very thick coats of gel polish. It was not smooth and perfect as in the past. (I had been coming every week). I know she meant well, but it was a mess because the bottle was clearly almost empty, which affected the consistency. Then when I went to pay, I nearly passed out when they told me it was $22! I just knew she made a mistake, since this was just a polish change. No manicure, massage, etc. No mistake, this was the price! A fill would've cost $29.45 (cash price) Then to add insult to injury, my polish change is a complete disaster and I have to make ANOTHER appointment. I'm very upset. The prices are highly inflated for the area and the costs aren't justified. I love the ambience, but since I enjoy a polish change weekly, Blush wouldn't be cost effective for me. read more

Every one was super sweet..$57 + tip is a bit pricey to go too often for me ...$27 for a standard pedicure with regular polish and $30 for basic blush manicure with gel polish. Gal did do a nice job...i didn't have to come home and refile which i normally do with most other salons....most do not eliminate the jagged edges of real nails.... Space is lovely....fancy decor...you do get a beverage of choice which was a nice unexpected surprise. Best massage chairs around....A bit low key for a grand opening in my opinion. Would have loved some grand opening specials though...like free design with services....something like that....over all a pleasant experience....will visit again..pre-booked next appoint for mani only...They do have a loyalty card. read more

We came on the day before a holiday, and it was packed. My daughter and I came with a friend, and they kindly squeezed us in for a pedicure. We did the mango mimosa package. The treatment included some kind of mango scrub, a eucalyptus wrap, parafin soak, and of course, a mimosa. The chairs were comfortable massage chairs with modern glittery sparkle bowls for the tub. They did a great job. My only complaint would be the interaction with the staff felt brisk and a bit gruff instead of decadent spa like. But again, it was busy. My daughter got a princess manicure and they gave her a crown. An extra plus was that they had a movie playing with the sound off, but with subtitles. It was entertaining, but not loud. The greeter (?) seemed more interested in chatting up someone on the phone and was not pleased that I was a "walk-in". Everyone's attitude was snobby. My first and last Blush experience was a disappointment. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a nail salon to patronize permanently. I went to the Blush on Dave Lyle and was assigned to a tech named Thia (think that's the correct spelling) for a mani-pedi. I said that I wanted manicure first and, when I was directed to the spa pedicure chair, I again requested the nail bar for my manicure. I'm not sure if that's the incident that set her off, but she barely looked at me, never said anything (only used gestures) and never smiled. Her attitude was made even worse by the fact that I was flanked with 2 smiling, friendly techs on either side who were chatting with their clients. When the mani was done, we went to the pedi chair where she did a mediocre job on my toes. She cut into the cuticle on my big toe to the point where I was sure I was bleeding. When I said "that hurts", she said "I'm just trimming cuticles" and never apologized for having hurt me. Unbelievable! I was so disgusted by the time I left that, for the first time in my life, I did not leave a tip (and I normally tip 20% for any service). I immediately called the salon and relayed my experience and the manager apologized and offered to give me a 50% discount on my next service. I politely declined as there are too many other options for salons that I'm sure will treat me like a valued customer. All in all, a shame because it's a lovely salon and everyone seemed really happy with the exception of the tech I was unfortunate enough to draw. read more

I have been getting manicures for years and have ended up in some sketchy places on my journey to finding the right nail salon for me. Some places were bad techs but friendly or some were unfriendly and rude but good techs. I was so pleased to finally find this place. I thought when it opened it was going to go for that "luxury" feel which usually means way more money, but I finally went in one day and luckily for me I did. I was welcomed with a free glass of wine and surprisingly the prices were the same as other salons. I'm not sure how this place does not have that strong chemical smell but it always smells clean. The staff is always friendly. My nails always look beautiful. Now the only thing is, is that you do need an appointment because they stay pretty busy. They are pretty much the only place to go on Sunday which is actually how I discovered this gem. read more

Paid $72 for basic pedicure and gel mani. The second time I went I was completely dissatisfied. The shaping was horrible. I had to keep asking her to try to fix them. No two nails matched in shape or size. For my fill in, color change, and basic pedicure I was charged $74, more than the first visit!
