This was my first visit to this salon. It's a contemporary space. Tastefully decorated. The music was relaxing. My nail tech did a great job on both my toenails and fingernails. During the Blush pedicure, which I highly recommend, a group of women that were friends and coworkers came into the salon. They brought bottles of wine. It became very loud and not relaxing. Some things to reduce the noise in the space could be done construction wise like sound absorption panels for example. Also, beverages such as water, coffee, and tea could also be offered to guests to complete the spa feel that this salon seems to want to portray. Especially price wise. read more

It hurts me to write this review but honestly I just want my voice to be heard at this point. I have been a loyal customer at Blush for a couple of years now and I've never canceled an appointment. You can see in the picture I confirmed the appointment on 7/3, I tested positive Wednesday night. On July 5th I called to reschedule an appointment I had later that day because I tested positive for Covid. I was informed I would be charged for the service because I didn't cancel within 48 hours...the issue is the previous day was July 4th which was a holiday and the salon was closed. I asked to speak to a manager or my usual nail tech and was told someone would call me back. My nail tech called back to inform me that there was nothing they could do and I would still be charged 50% of the service because I could have text the number that their confirmation text are sent from. The issue is the confirmation text explicitly states that cancellations must be a phone call. At this point the money isn't the issue. I was dismissed by not only my nail tech but management as well. I have personally witnessed the extravagant hospitality and customer service at Blush and none of that was extended to me. I can't help but question why?? I was told no, that's our policy and there's nothing we can do about it. As much as I love this salon I cannot patronage a business that doesn't respect or value me as a client. I've held off writing this review because I was hoping this incident would be rectified as of Monday and it was not. read more

I LOVE this nail salon. It is my favorite nail salon in the Kansas City area. They do not accept walk-ins, which I prefer, so you have to make sure to make your appointment ahead of time. Michelle is my go-to here and I've gone to her every three weeks or so for almost a year. Unfortunately, I had to move, but any time I'm in the area I try and make an appointment because it's that good. The ambience inside is amazing (think white everything, concrete floors, huge glass windows, gold hardware accents, fresh flowers, blush pink chairs and couches, minimalistic decor), they always have great music playing, they have strictly OPI colors, which includes OPI regular nail polish, gel, AND dip! All by OPI and all organized where you can clearly see the color as well as the name of the color. It is the first salon I've gone to where they do it and I'm so used to it now and absolutely love how organized it is. I'm so sad I had to move away but trust me when I say you won't get a better nail salon experience in the KC area. read more

I had gotten a brand new set at a different salon a week ago, they were lifting (a BRAND NEW set, ridiculous) and Jenny fixed all of the lifting issues, did a beautiful paint job, and shaped them wonderfully. I've been getting services from these ladies for like seven years now (they were Nailtique before) and I refuse to go anywhere else. They're kind, clean, adorable, and amazing at their jobs. They always have the latest colors and techniques. It's a completely different experience than a typical nail salon. It's more personal and boujee, which I'm here for. Make an appointment ahead of time or text before you go in to make sure they have openings. It's not the kind of place where you just show up unannounced and get in, unless you're just really lucky. I absolutely love this salon! I've gone twice now and get the powder dip nail polish and both times my nails were filed beautifully and the color was exactly what I wanted. This salon takes the time to make sure you are happy with the shape and feel of your nails before they start applying color instead of rushing you like most salons which kind of create a turn and burn vibe. The ladies here clearly enjoy what they do, enjoy each other, and enjoy their customers which makes the whole experience relaxing and fun. And my nails! Beautiful! I've been looking for a salon like this since moving to Kansas a year and a half ago. This is the kind of salon that is going to be somewhat able to recreate that nail art you see on Pinterest. My manicure (the French tips with striped ring finger) cost $43, but since it has stayed on longer than any other manicure I've had since moving. (The breakdown was this: $33 for the gel, $5 for the French manicure, $5 for the nail art... And the up charge on the art was completely worth it, in my opinion.) Mary, the shop owner is an outstanding professional in her field and goes out of her way to make you feel like a valued customer. This was my second visit to Blush. First let me say, everyone is so kind, the space is beautiful and very clean. My first dip manicure here wasn't great, but it was fine. I figured it was a fluke. So three weeks later I gave it another try. I'd tried to call and make an appointment three times on three different days (and times) and the phone just rang and rang. The fourth time I got through, explained what I wanted and she told me to arrive at 8:45 am. I was surprised because it says online they don't open til 10 am, but I was happy to get an appointment. So I arrived at 8:45 am and it was closed (the appointment confirmation text I received said 9 am though). I waited and finally at 9:05 am a couple people arrived. She got started on me right away. She was so friendly and gentle. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said "great!". I'd mentioned my last manicure here was a little bumpy and she said she'd make sure this one was better. Towards 10 am, she started to seem really rushed. She even did a gel top coat instead of a dip top coat to save time she said. And ultimately what I left with isn't at all what I asked for. And their prices have recently increased. I'm really disappointed and probably won't give Blush a third try. read more
