Had a troubling expeirence at the start, but Mike and the team did their best to make things right! I purchased a 2022 Subaru with under 100k miles with a full warranty. Within 2 weeks of purchasing the vehicle it needed urgent and hazardous repairs. A major component of the transmission was damaged and there was significant oil leaks. It took 3 days to even get in contact with a manager, leaving me without transportation and no idea when I would be getting my vehicle back. Despite purchasing a full warranty with the dealership they did not authorize my warranty at the time of purchase and left me without a working vehicle. The car that I drove for only 2 weeks has now been sitting in the shop for almost a week! I am thankful to the team for finally covering the repairs, I just wish this could have been solved in a more timely manner with clearer communication. read more

The good: we negotiated a deal and left happy. The time was somewhat fast and smooth: in and out with keys to our new (used) vehicle in under 3 hours. The bad: zero relationship-building on their end. And I mean ZERO. No effort to get to know us. It was as bland and basic as plain-yogurt. Did they try to upsell, of course, but the relationship-building was void. Would I buy from these guys again? Not likely. They had a Honda trade-in car I was searching for, I saw it online and called to see if it was available. Found others online, but Fife was closer. Decided to see it in person, but immediately drove it next door to have the Honda dealership maintenance team check it out. They found $500 worth of errors/services needed, so I went back to BMW to negotiate. We did and bought it. I absolutely love the Fife Honda dealership and team, as we've been going there for decades, where they greet us by name and offer us discounts. Sadly, Honda didn't happen to have the used-hybrid model we were in the market to buy, but BMW did. read more

I like these guys and I bought my first car from them 30 years ago (along the way I've also purchased cars from Seattle BMW and Kuni BMW down in Portland). I've gotta say, the whole experience has changed a lot over time. It used to be a white glove experience where you would drive in and they would take your car and do the necessary repairs. Now it feels like an assembly line. It's not the fault of the workers. Guess times have changed. (Brianna -- your canned responses to the many bad reviews really don't look good.) Suggestions 1. Streamline the Vehicle Check-In Process * The current system of placing a cone on the car and asking customers to drive forward and wait inside their vehicle is outdated and impersonal. * Consider implementing a more welcoming check-in procedure: * Have a service advisor greet customers upon arrival. * Provide valet-style intake or a clear, indoor reception area. * Use text-based check-in confirmations or digital kiosks instead of cones. 2. Improve the Customer Waiting Area * The current waiting area has: * Uncomfortable seating. * High noise levels, making it hard to relax or focus. * Recommended upgrades: * Replace or reupholster seating for better comfort and support. * Create quiet work cubicles or pods with outlets and Wi-Fi for those who need to work while they wait. * Add ambient music or noise-dampening panels to reduce noise. 3. I generally keep my cars for 5-6 years; however, my most recent vehicle has me thinking that I will be hanging onto it for longer than usual (this is a good thing!). Therefore, I want to make sure that I purchase little things that will keep it looking new over time. One item that I absolutely stand by is all-weather floormats (especially if you have children). There is nothing like being able to spray clean your floormats versus having to vacuum and/or shampoo them. On most sites the OEM BMW floor mats were being sold on average for $150 (front mats) and $107 (rear mats). Fortunately, I was able to find both sets on sale via BMW Northwest. In comparison to other sites that I visited, I was confident that these were the right mats for my car because the site requires that you enter your vehicle's identification number (VIN). Prior to shipping, BMW Northwest verifies that the item that you are ordering is appropriate to the VIN. Since BMW Northwest is located in fairly close proximity to California (Washington), I received my order in three days! The mats fit perfectly and definitely gives the cabin a cleaner look. The associate who helped me was friendly, informative, and gave just the right amount of attention without being pushy. The dealership itself is clean, well-organized, and runs on a clear system that made the visit efficient. DISHONEST DEALERSHIP! I had a deal in writing to buy a 2024 X5. I offered to wire the money for two days, but the dealership asked me to wait until April 1st to sign documents because they wanted to book the sale in April. In the meantime, I secured a loan, set up shipping, and SOLD MY CAR. The dealership was in the loop the entire time and assured me my car was being held for me with the keys locked up. I had an appointment in the morning on April 1st to sign the documents; however, they sold the car the night before. The salespeople told me there were extensive notes in the system saying the car was being sold to me and they didn't know how this happened. Update to this review after speaking with Kyle C their GM. BMW Northwest has stepped in to take care of the mechanical faults that my local bmw dealership had found. (The inspection report I have listed every mechanical component being looked over and in proper operating order)... which was not the case. As far as the pictured ppf damage and the orange peel on the trunk that was not disclosed or photographed, I have not reached a conclusion with bmw honoring to make that aspect right. Likely I'll have to take the car to a collision center on my own dime to make the car right. Assuming the ppf will need to be replaced and the trunk would need to be sanded and buffed I'm looking at a few thousand. Not what I expected at all and still am negotiating on my own behalf. I will say that their GM is in touch with me and handling the situation with care so kudos for that. read more

On the plus side, I will say that BMW NW has an easy to navigate web portal for parts: I was able to quickly find what I needed, and thought the advertised price was fair... Add to Cart. Checkout. Wait. I received the confirmation email, "Thanks for your order..." with a message that it may be up to two weeks before shipment for hard to find parts. Two weeks go by, and no further updates--so I called in today, and once I finally convinced the guy who answered the phone to actually look up my order--I was informed that the key part I had ordered was determined to be "not available," so they simply canceled my order. With no notification, no update, no confirmation. And now, no apologies. Didn't even get to express my frustration before the line went dead. 2 weeks with a non-running car, due to poor communication. These guys may be great for what parts they have, but I will definitely be going out of my way to work with any possible alternate vendors in the future. read more

I purchased a 2025 BMW X5 from BMW Northwest. While the sales process was smooth, the service department severely dropped the ball. During an $11,000 GEICO-covered repair, the dealership damaged my front door panel. They admitted fault on April 25 -- but two weeks went by with no update, no ETA, and no scheduled repair. Even worse, the Service Manager kept removing BMW USA and GEICO from the emails to quiet the issue down. I had to escalate it myself just to be acknowledged. I've now filed formal complaints with BMW USA and GEICO. This is no longer just bad customer service -- it's mismanagement and negligence. BMWs are luxury vehicles. Now I'm 30 miles from home so this is a bad situation "Ugh" however I know where BMW is and I'm super close so I limp over to see if I can get fixed. Andrew in service becomes Franks hero of the day. He locates 2 tires ( thank god ) but because it's close to closing he wasn't sure if he can get it fixed. So what does the Superman of service do, he hooks Frank up with loaner car and says come back Monday and your ride will be ready. Now the most remarkable part was that's I was in and out with I less than an 1 hour. Can you believe it? Hell he even hooked me up on a discount which was appreciated. My service man provided me with an amazing experience and I will be back in the future. Ordered a part and received it in the mail broken. They shipped a fragile plastic part in a flatpack envelope and essentially said tough luck, we shipped it not broken so it's not on us. I try to take it up with the carrier, and the UPS service they used some USPS handoff service called SurePost. UPS denies responsibility because USPS did the final delivery, and USPS denies responsibility because insurance wasn't added. The parts department ignores 4 e-mails over the course of several business days and a weekend. I leave voicemails, and make several attempts to get someone on the phone. It's almost as if nobody works at this dealership or tends to the phones. I'm shocked that a BMW dealership could be this terrible with customer service. All the trouble BMW Northwest has caused me to document this experience to file a chargeback has made me furious enough to write this scathing review. read more

Purely from a sales management service perspective- talk about a bait-n-switch and when things go wrong...you're going to regret it. My first BMW purchase experience ruined. I chose the wrong dealer. Getting an oil change is akin to a timeshare presentation. Their smug condescending tactics and pressure to increase your tab is neither appreciated nor cool. They waste your time by calling you back and sitting you down acting like they are giving medical advice 15 minutes after initial check in but before seeing the car. After the third time I declined things like brake flush with "I only want an oil change" he decided to get cute and say "so no wash?" "No inspection?" He was quick to answer all of our questions and adroitly responded to the occasional change order. He even provided the ship name as soon as the car was loaded, allowing me to track through to delivery. After delivery, shout out to Brian who did our Genius work in setting us up - he was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and patient! Finally, a shout out to Austin, our Service Manager, who personally ensured we received what we needed quickly and professionally. James, Parts Manager, was also a huge and thankful help. I am extremely disappointed in the parts I ordered to service my BMW. I live 90 miles from the dealership, so chose to have my fluids (differentials, transfer case, and coolant) serviced locally, but using BMW fluids. The repair shop ordered the fluids directly from the Fife location. I was a bit nervous that the fluids may not be available so to make sure I called the BMW parts department in Fife. It took several phone calls, was routed to various people, placed on hold while I was talking, and found it extremely frustrating just to confirm the fluids were on order, that they were in stock. Now, to the real problems. The BMW parts department did not give the correct amount of fluid needed, so a second order had to be placed for more fluid and picked up (at this point about 200 miles driven to get the parts). You would think all would be good, but it wasn't. One of the bottles on the second order was the wrong fluid. To BMW's credit, they said they would deliver the correct fluid to the shop, and it would arrive the following day. In the meantime, my car is undrivable. Today is the day the correct fluid was to be delivered (and they were to pick up the incorrect fluid). That did not happen. Apparently the third party they contracted with to deliver the fluid either was routed incorrectly or made a decision to not deliver the fluids today. Whatever the reason, it should not be my problem, yet here I site with an undrivable car for another day...could be longer? Depends on if the correct fluid will actually be delivered tomorrow. My experience with the parts department in Fife has been a painful experience and I can only say to others that incompetence is to be expected. Beware! I was told servicing older BMW's was expensive, but I never thought I would be experiencing this type of incompetence and frustration over something as simple as getting the correct quantities and types of fluids directly from the dealership. I had planned to buy a new BMW soon to replace my current BMW. But now, due to this fiasco, I no longer wish to buy another BMW. UGH!!! I have been a loyal customer when I bought my 2006 car, and still drive it (160,000 miles) and plan to continue as long as I drive. That initial purchasing experience was wonderful but this review is about car service. I have maintained my car by using their regular services. I love having my records in one place and have been treated well and given many options when work was needed. Recently I went in for what felt like brake/rotor issues. Dave Quinn was my advisor. We discussed what made sense, given many new price increases (where is that not happening.). My records and amount of miles I decided on brake replacement and opted out of the diagnostic review (which I admit is high.) I was very surprised when I got a call that informed me my brakes and rotors we still in good shape. They informed I wouldn't need the work and my issue was probably the recent affect of the car sitting for a bit. I really appreciate the honesty (we all hope for that). But what will continue to make me loyal is that they didn't charge me the diagnostic fee, which would be right as they did conduct that service. I arranged an appointment to look at a car. i was about 20 min late driving from Snohomish to Fife. when i arrived they let me drive the car but told me another buyer was already working the numbers. Please note, ask lots of specific questions on how they charge for an oil change and make sure they aren't trying to over charge you like they did to me.
