It's early to give a thorough review as I've only gotten an estimate on brake issues on my car. But the customer service is awesome. I had done a bit of homework and received quotes from my own dealership for the work that needs to be done and this place had given me a straight, accurate, and fair pricing for the job off the jump. Hello everyone, it is not often that I give a 5 star review to any company. Especially companies in the auto care industry. We all know that they can be misleading and oftentimes very untruthful. However, I am happy to tell you about BNC Auto Care In Sonoma County, California. First of all, when I arrived. The owner came to me and I went over the issues that I was having with my vehicle. I had no idea why My truck would not start. I had gone through all different sorts of things. Changing the fuel pump changing the feel filter. Changing the battery among other things. Nonetheless, I left my truck with these gentlemen yesterday. Today at 5 o'clock, I picked up my truck and everything was fixed. Very disappointed in the service and the mechanics there I take my car to get a oil change. Nothing was wrong with it and I ended up having to have it towed out of there because they stripped the plug. I've taken it to other shops and they have never caused damage to my vehicle and I ended up from a simple $95 oil change to a $800 bill and I pulled my vehicle out of there very unprofessional and there's only youngsters working there. I don't even think they've gone to AUTOMOTIVE school . read more

I went to the BNC on East Todd road for an oil change. I have no money to speak of so I told them I could only afford the oil change and would have to do the emissions next time. They changed my oil and when I got home I looked at the engine and they had repaired a leak on the top and also on the bottom. They never mentioned it and figured that I wouldn't notice. What a rip off! They messed with my spark plugs, which messed up my car.i had to buy new ones. They overflowd my car with oil. They had my car up on one side to "work on it". I definitely don't recommend to bring your car here. Unless you want more problems. read more

At first, I had a trust concerns and would only consider Oil Change & perhaps Smog @ BNC! Michael & others in the office were always pleasant & would kindly provide a list of general mechanical concerns on my aging vehicle's. I never felt pressured to have add'l work done. Finally, to my surprise, after tune-ups, 2 Brake Jobs, Misc, etc., I'm very happy with the Mechanical skills and their competitive rates. I've been to BNC twice and I won't be returning. Their oil changes are cheaper than most places I've been, and that's the reason I came back the second time. No issue with my oil. However, both times I came in for an oil change, they told me I had a huge issue that turned out to be not true. I can't remember what is was the first time, but the second time they told me that my water tube needed to be replaced immediately or my transmission would be damaged. $600+ repair. My dad is an auto body technician and has been for over 30 years. I always have him double check everything and everything was fine. I was about to drop $600 the next day for a repair I didn't need yet they said was urgent and important. I like their oil changes and they are nice people but after two false claims about my car I won't be returning. In response to the reply: It should be in the system because the part was ordered and the appointment was made. I have a 2012 chevy Cruze. My oil change was done on May 17. read more

I keep meaning to tell you about the experience I had at BNC on Calistoga Road (not the one on Todd Rd.). I went there to get my oil changed, when I was getting my car ready to drive to Colorado back at the end of February. I told them I was taking a long trip, to frigid weather, asked whether I should change the weight of my oil, etc. They said no, what I was using should be fine. So, as I was waiting for my car, I was listening to the manager talk to someone on the phone who was inquiring about getting his oil changed. The manager went on, blah blah blah, and then said something like, well, some customers want us to drain all the oil and put in all new oil. I was thinking - who doesn't want that? Of course you want all new oil and a new filter! Doesn't that go without saying? Well, later I looked at my work order, and sure enough, they had put ONE QUART of oil in my car, just TOPPED IT OFF on the old oil, even with everything I told them. And, of course, they charged me the full price. Needless to say, I will never go there again! read more

Wow! That's how I'd describe this place in one word. Michael at the front was NOTHING short of friendly and helpful. It's great to have somebody like that to help you out. While my jeep was getting the oil changed, he was wonderfully talkative and full of energy. The prices are pretty great too. $28 for an oil change, with an extra quart and all my fluids topped off. It's hard to beat that. BNC is my auto repair shop of choice I started coming to BNC years ago because of a coupon for a great price for an oil change. I have been coming back for all my auto care ever since. What stands out for me starts when you arrive- Michael is super friendly and is an amazing multi-tasker (and remembers you each time you come in!) Many times I have thought there was something wrong with my car and BNC could easily have agreed with me to make some money for themselves, but often after they have explored my engine, have told me that repair is not needed at this time. I have witnessed this same thing happening numerous times with other customers. To find an auto repair shop you can trust is huge! The prices are always less than other estimates I have gotten. I called to make an appointment to have my wife's 2013 Turbo Beetle rear brake light replaced. I had called a dealership about it and was told I had to make an appointment a week in advance and it would take up to two hours. BNC had me bring the car down within 30 minutes of my call to check it out. I imagined about a 2 hour wait but when I arrived they saw me immediately and changed out the bulb in under ten minutes! This is one of the best experiences I've had at an auto repair shop. Granted it was a simple bulb replacement but the customer service was excellent and it was extremely easy to find (literally right off of the freeway). read more

Called at 11:30 to get a pre-purchase inspection on a Honda Fit we were considering from Craigslist. The took us 45 minutes later and charged $99 for the hour long inspection. The Fit had over 150,000 miles but seemed like it drove straight, idled smoothly, shifted fine and handled well. My wife even said, "do we even need an inspection, it seems great!" But there were a couple things that called out for attention and we figured it would justify asking for a lower price by as much as the inspection or find something about it to suggest avoiding the buy ... And we sure did avoid this one! Transmission fluid leaking from multiple spots, brakes poorly adjusted from shade-tree mechanic install, suspension issues, compression uneven between cylinders, and more. All stuff we couldn't see without their tools and car lift. We were disappointed because we'd been looking at so many used cars that we thought we had the one when we really had a dud. But with BNC's help we avoided a serious and costly mistake. read more

I am new to Santa Rosa and had to get smog certificates for two older vehicles. BNC on Calistoga Road did the smog for them and I found them to be honest and knowledgable. There was an issue with obtaining the Smog Certificate on one of the vehicles and they gave me credit for a free oil change for the extra effort that it took to resolve the problem. A small part was lost accidentally, while doing the smog, on the other vehicle and they paid me cash to buy the part on-line. I have worked as a mechanic in a repair shop and I know when I am being treated fairly as a customer. Avid and Eddie, at BNC treated me fairly and I will be going to them with future repairs, that I cannot do myself. I read all of their reviews and let me say this: No person or business is perfect but if that person or business can learn from their mistakes and try to make it right with a customer then they are doing it correctly. BNC is successful because they are doing a good job the vast majority of the time. Maybe they can get a larger space sometime in the future because their good reputation is bringing in more and more customers. I would give them a five if their working space was larger to accommodate all of their business. read more

I brought my car in for an A/C service, when I got the car back the side rear view mirror was broken. The shop was closed when I picked up the car from their premises, so I took lots of pictures and brought a witness. The owners agreed to pay for the damage, however a week later the wife of one of the owners asked me to come in, and proceeded to insult me, She said: "I know your kind!" and I am not paying for the repair". I am now taking them to small claims, and the A/C only worked for 1 week, they also refused to make good on their a/c services. I do not recommend this company at all. Wife is very racist! read more
