Are they efficient, are they hustling? For sure. Competitive rates?--check. Good communication?--check. Knowledgable?--check. A friend told me once , "The secret of being really successful in sales is not closing the deal. It's helping people find their way." I must have taken up an hour or more of Todd's time trying to figure out what I wanted for my truck. Spacers, lift kits, offsets... on and on! In the end I learned a lot and they did not get their sale. What they did get is my trust. It takes time and a willingness to have a conversation (sometimes many!) to figure out what people think they want vs what actually serves them best. That is rare today. I came in thinking one of my tires was compromised, but luckily it wasn't. The team here immediately brought my car in, removed the sus tire to inspect as well as inspected the other tires, and reassured me everything was fine. Yet again Kalemba's Tire Service has proven themselves to be the most honest, trustworthy and thorough auto shop I have ever dealt with. They just did some repairs that the dealer didn't do correctly, and they came in faster than I thought and under the estimate. They have repeatedly steered me away from doing anything unnecessary, which is a huge credit to their integrity, as I was prepared to spend a lot more on my old Subaru, but they carefully explained what did not need to be done, and found the things that really did need to be done. Noticed my car was pulling to the right a little. Stopped in on my way to RP to have it checked. Service rep stated it was probably a slow leak due to nail, "we see it all the time". Stated they could check it and if able to repair they could do it while I wait. Unfortunately, at that time I had somewhere I needed to be so he put more air in the tire and overfilled it Just a tad to get me over the next couple days and told me to keep an eye on the pressure. I did what he said and came back in two days and sure enough, there was a nail in the tire and they were able to repair it with a plug. I was on my way in about 20 minutes and it cost about $27 which I thought was fair and worth it, until it's time for me to buy new tires. 3 weeks later (at the time of this review) tire pressure is still holding at the correct pressure. Everyone was super friendly, even though they were super busy. I love local, family businesses and will use them every time. read more

Great experience with this place. I showed up 45 minutes before closing one Sunday, they took care of me in 25 minutes and I was back on the road. While visiting Bodega Bay over the weekend, our tire pressure indicator light suddenly came on. We were worried we punctured one of the tires, and most tire shops were already closed. We arrived at Kalemba's 30 minutes after closing, not realizing Maps was showing inaccurate operating hours. Despite that, one of the two guys working there measured the tire pressure for all 4 tires and filled them all up to recommended pressure. He indicated that because all 4 tires had been equally low, it was unlikely that something was leaking. He was very friendly and professional, and suggested we stop by again before leaving if the light didn't go away. We were not charged anything for this service.
