I got my toes done here and second time i regret it so bad. the first time i went they took out my ingrown toenail and i guess they didn't do it right my toe was infected! i decided to give it another chance and went back and the same thing happened! they tried to take out my nail but didn't take it out fully and now it's poking me and hurts so bad my toe is swollen. It was not a five star experience because of the location but otherwise it was a great time. They did our nails properly and with care. Our family needs them done right because of growth issues etc so it's nice to find a place that notices and helps. The prices were ok, not cheap but they did so good I'm not complaining. I want to give a higher rating because the service was great and the owner (I'm not sure if he is the owner but he greeted me and took my phone call) is really nice. He did a great job on my manicure and was funny to talk to. But I'm giving a low rating because my toe is in so much pain from my pedicure. I'm not sure if the other nail tech dug too much or the tools were bad but this is what happened to my toe. He dug a lot while giving me my pedicure and it wasn't too bad but now I can barely walk. Ummm, no this was just two weeks ago...They've changed this and now take appointments...wow. He said it would be 30 min wait. In desperate need of an immediate mani/pedi (and not local to the area) I came across this place on Yelp and wanted to give it a shot based on the high reviews. It took me forever to find the place not knowing it was inside a flea market, which honestly scared me a bit, but I still decided to give it a go again based on the great reviews. I walked up without an appointment and was greeted by the owner Ben who seemed cool and was instructed to pick my color and wait until a technician was available. It was only him and another lady working, so understandably the wait was about 30 mins, which was fine. I read rave reviews about him and someone named Mimi(?) so I figured I'm in good hands regardless of who takes me. I ended up getting seated with Diane, who honestly wasn't very friendly right off the bat. I didn't get a smile, a welcome, or a hello when I sat down. Maybe she was just having a bad day. Throughout the mani there was no small talk which I actually didn't mind, but when I asked if she could make my coffin shape a little bit more narrow she seemed annoyed and told me no based off her preference of what she thought I should do. Ok. I politely asked again prior to the nail polish application and got a bit of attitude in response, so I just dropped it- it wasn't even worth arguing for (or that drastic of a preference request)... I contemplated a few times just ending the service early since I felt so awkward during the manicure. Nothing friendly about the service whatsoever. The nails themselves did come out beautiful, which is where the 4 stars come in. I complemented how they turned out and said the color was really pretty, no response. Pedicure was great considering how horrible my toes were when I walked in! Hot stones included in the massage. No complaints there. Paid with a debit card which is an additional $2 fee, and still left her a 20% tip. I got a "thank you", but no smile or eye contact. Due to COVID most nail salons are booked, but this hidden gem located in the Fontana swapmeet was available for me to walk in and get a gel pedicure. Overpriced for basic work. Their price board makes no sense so when you ask for something, they give you the price but then say "an extra $5 if you want this included." They've also got a sign that says cash only but when it's time to pay they bring out an ATM scanner that charges an additional $2. On top of that, i was forced to add a tip to my debit total even though i said I had cash to give him. The employees there have such an attitude when talking to people that I witnessed an argument between the woman employee and a customer who was being made fun of while getting my pedicure. 0 stars for extremely poor customer service. I had an appt via class pass for pedicure and I did also ask to get a manicure while I was there. Once they finished my pedicure, they said they have to take care of the guests that arrived before me since the appointment didn't include manicure. I said no problem, seems fair to me. I do want to add my toe was in a bit if pain because of the way he dug into my cuticles. It seemed excessive as that part has never bothered me. Anyways, after an hour of waiting they told me they will not do my manicure because there's people that arrived after me still waiting. Red flag 1, why would any business consider serving any customer that arrived at a later time just because I didn't have an appointment. I arrived at 3:50, but they prefer to service the people that walked in after 5pm just because they close soon. That's not customer service. Then as I proceed to walk out, this lady who didn't even do my pedicure, yells at me from across the room saying I need to pay for my pedicure. Keep in mind, I've already alerted the manager of my appointment with ClassPass and my service is the only service that was paid for in advance via the app. And she had the nerve to treat me like that! Red Flag 2, Don't ever yell at a customer over something that's already paid for. That's how you lose tips and customers. read more
