Late night lifesaver review…read more Shoutout to The Local Bread Company because they really understood the assignment. I grabbed their bourgeois pizza and it was everything you want in a pizza -- crispy crust, loaded toppings, and the kind of bite that makes you pause for a second like "yeah... this was the right decision." But honestly, they deserve their flowers for something else too... they saved me at 2AM once. True story: I DoorDashed a pizza AND a sandwich from Wailuku all the way to Kihei because when the late-night hunger hits, you start making bold life decisions. And when you realize they're basically the only place open from 9PM to 1PM the next day, suddenly it makes perfect sense. Listen... if you've ever ordered food from Wailuku to Kihei at 2 in the morning, just know you're not alone. We're all just doing our best out here. Late night MVP on Maui.

I am definitely a fan and so is my work bestie who lunches with me almost everyday. The other day…read moreshe got a custom sandwich on foccaccia with turkey, cheese, onions, mushrooms, spinach and tomato. It looked great and she said it was awesome! The service is fantastic. If you're taking it to go, they wrap everything up so nicely for you. If you're eating there they hand walk your order out to you, wrapped nicely for easy eating! I have been wanting to try their pizza so I got the Margherita. Guys...I was blown away at how epic it was. I feel like a Margherita is the true test of a good pizza because you aren't hiding behind a bunch of toppings. It's just purely simple pizza that highlights the quality of your ingredients. The crust was crunchy yet doughy and light on the inside. The sauce and cheese, perfectly balanced. Just Chef's Kiss. Today, my friend tried their special, the hot honey sausage pizza. I didn't try it because I'm allergic to pork, but she said it was awesome! We can't wait to try more of their creations!

I found these Maui-made dips at our local Costco. I tasted it once at a family member's house and…read moreremembered it was really good so I wanted to try it again. According to the label, they're based in Kahului, not Haiku. PRODUCTS: Smoked Salmon Dip - $8.99 for 32 ounces. A more appropriate name should be "Smoked Salmon Spread" as this "dip" is super thick with its cream cheese base. The smoked salmon pieces are so finely cut that they're almost undetectable visually, with just a subtle hint of actual salmon flavor, and more notes of dill. Not being a bagel fan, I tried it with tortilla chips, Lay's Kettle chips, and Triscuits. Meh, pass for me. Spinach Dip - $6.89. Now this was yummy. A friend makes her infamous "ham rolls" that are tortilla, sliced ham, and this dip, rolled and sliced, similar to what Costco sells but better. The dip is smooth, creamy, and full of fresh spinach and crunchy water chestnuts. Mix that with the salty ham and it makes the perfect party app! The other product they sell is a mayo-based Smoked Marlin Dip, but I'm in no rush to try it. If I do, I will surely update this review.

The spinach dip is delicious, but has a mystery of nutrition and ingredients. Would love to find out what I'm eating exactly, but the most important part is that it's delicious!!

Two slices of toast topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers, and fresh dill, served with a side salad tossed in a balsamic dressing. They even include a lemon wedge to squeeze over your salmon. Such a thoughtful touch, and it's almost too pretty to eat. This is my very favorite thing to order here. Don't get me wrong, I drool over their pastries, especially the medialuna. But when I want a light lunch that is still filling and savory, this is it. Everything tastes fresh and put together with care. If you haven't been to Momona Bakery yet, go for the pastries, stay for the salmon toast.

I ended up trying the Mango Danish, and it was outstanding. The pastry was beautifully flaky, buttery, and crisp, while the mango filling was fresh, vibrant, and not overly sweet. Every bite tasted like a perfect blend of classic pastry and tropical Maui flavors. The bakery was clean, inviting, and smelled amazing the moment I walked in. The staff was friendly and efficient, even with a steady flow of customers. If you're in Maui and love pastries, Momona is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Lattes. I forget what they were. One had coconut and the other was some sort of Carrot cake. Both were a 5/5.
