I would like to do a review for a small Lahaina business, Demmings Delivery. We have been coming to Kaanapali Beach in Maui since 1980 and usually do our own shopping. We discovered this grocery delivery service from the concierge at the Kaanapali Allii where we are staying for 10 glorious days. I checked with the concierge before we arrived whether there was a service available to stock some basic grocery necessities so they would be there when we arrived at our room. When I called I spoke with the owner Demming. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and as we discovered, knows her way around a grocery store! I texted her our order and she called to make sure that everything was correct before shopping. She was very flexible about adding more supplies and easy to work with. I must say that it was such a pleasure to walk into our condo and be able to pour a cold drink and have a snack. We did not have to go to the market until today when my husband wanted to select his own barbecue Ingredients. Demming got everything in our order right, it was carefully placed in the refrigerator or cupboard almost the way I would do it myself. I highly recommend this service for grocery deliveries. They service the Lahaina area and you can always call with any inquiries you might have. I cannot say enough good things about Demming's Delivery! My Boss is vacationing in Maui for her Birthday. I wanted to surprise her with something special. I called the resort, and they transferred me to Demming. I was thinking a nice bottle of Champagne, and Demming gave me several ideas. I ended up choosing a gift basket with Champagne, two flutes and tropical flowers. All set. Or so we thought. As the resort has individually owned condo's, this particular one was hard to get a hold of the host. Demming went behind the scenes and above and beyond to make this happen. I used Demmings Delivery for a birthday gift. My bro-in-law was in Hawaii on his birthday, so I ordered a gift basket in a soft sided cooler to be delivered to his room. It was delivered on time, and had everything described on the website. The only bummer is that it's stuff you can get from Costco, like the four cheese sampler, and stuff from Long's or any other store. Having more authentic foods, especially from local markets, like Star, would make it especially cool. Or at least have the option to choose for people who are more adventurous tasters. The company also can deliver balloons, cakes, flowers. You can fax a shopping list if you are in a condo, and they will deliver everything on your list to the condo, saving you a trip to the store as soon as you get in. You can choose for them to shop at Safeway, a gourmet store or an organic store. It's a 30 dollar minimum shopping fee, but if you prefer vacationing to shopping, this may work great for you. I just used the company for the delivery of the gift and was happy with it, but I just wish it had more local products that aren't so "touristy." Everybody can buy chocolate covered macademia nuts, how about something more interesting? read more

I know this sounds crazy, but arriving at our fully stocked condo after a long day of travel was one of the highlights of our trip. Demming was amazing! My parents went to Maui to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. I wanted to surprise them with something big. I called Demming, and she was so helpful. She let me create my own package that wasn't on the website. She suggested flowers and a room full of balloons (and even helped pick out the colors). I added chocolate covered strawberries, but my parents don't drink champagne, so I asked if she could give them sparkling cider instead. I ordered a delux fruit basket for a family that were visiting Maui for several days. It was not delivered on time (but partly because I forgot to put a unit number on the address. But I had to follow up with them 2 days later as my family did not receive it. They should have followed up with me if they noticed it was missing a unit #) The fruits in the basket was so hard, not nearly close to ripe.
