We found the cafe based on great Yelp reviews, but we had a mixed experience. The shop is cute and clean with a dozen tables/booths. Vintage local photos decorate the wall. You order at the counter then find a seat. The menu is a mix of sandwiches and subs with daily featured soups. We both ordered a special half sub and soup. The staff is friendly and efficient. The bacon potato soup was thick, hearty and delicious. It tasted freshly made. We really loved the soup. My husband ham and cheese sub had one thin slice of ham. He was disappointed. My tuna sub was terrible. The tuna was taken out of a can and put on bread without any seasoning or prep. The tuna had a funny taste. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. They were busy. Soup seemed to be popular. There is street parking nearby. read more

Pizza was wrong, skimpy topping and waited over 45 minutes for a luke warm pizza, crust was doughy.

The inside was adorable- decorated for the holidays, and I loved all the black & white pictures of Logansport. We split the loaded Irish Tots and an Italian Grinder. Both were delicious! The grinder was absolutely perfect - nice balance of meat, cheese & bread. The tots were loaded with cheese, bacon and green onions. My only complaints- the Diet Pepsi tasted a bit off - maybe the water? And, there is no restroom. This is a real issue for a restaurant and is keeping me from giving them 5 stars. read more

The sandwich was great and the restaurant was cute. However the girl taking the order certainly wasn't welcoming or helpful. When I ask her where the restroom was I was told there were no public facilities and that I could go across the street to find one. When I ask where that was she waved in a vague direction and then left the order desk. I thought Indiana required restaurants with tables to provide public restrooms. Across the street was a furniture that was closed after five! Very rude!!! read more

The Boardwalk Cafe is the best at what they do. They have the best subs in the whole county. The also have the best soups and salads. The service is always very friendly, helpful, and the food comes out quick. The atmosphere is very nice and clean. I personally love the chicken chili! read more

Food was really great! Cute place with a huge, beautiful flower arrangement! Everyone was really nice and we would definitely return! Only downside, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is there is no restroom for customers. My daughter and I met up there for a very long lunch/ catch up date and after drinking lots of water, we found that we had to leave and find another place to use the restroom since we don't live there. I loved this little corner restaurant. Cute outdoor area when it's nice and very clean and comfortable inside. Visited about 1:30 after lunch crowd and had a terrific 8" Italian grinder. I have no idea if it's opened now. It's been a while. They make the best taco salad on the planet. They don't have coke products but their iced tea is good. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The flatbread is good also but did I mention they have the best taco salad on the planet? First time I had it I got one to go for my husband. I love the super strom and the homemade bread sticks are amazing. You order at the register but they deliver the food to your table. The building is located on the corner with windows along the side, so there's plenty of traffic to watch. It's a great place to eat. read more

Had the taco salad i thought it was good. Also ordered breadsticks i think they would be better with marinara sauce instead of cheese sauce. Maybe in the future they can offer garlic butter breadsticks with marinara i think that would be a hit. read more

Been getting grinders from here since I was a kid. I just ate a cheese pizza from there that was unbelievably good.

It comes open face with melted cheese, topped with lettuce and tomato. You can get a half sandwich or a whole. (I'm happy with a half size.) they offer a variety of sides. I like my pizzas plain and simple with just cheese but my husband loves to try anything new on the menu. Food is a little overpriced and mediocre. Was told their salads are good but received a togo container full of iceberg and little flavor. The grilled chicken was bland and not seasoned. Service was soso. They brought out other people's orders before mine even though my order was simple. read more
