Had a couple of maintenance items that popped up shortly afterwards and Rusty stepped right up and took care of everything.

The man is super cool, honest, and won't waste your time. The service department could use some work when it comes to cleaning/picking up after themselves! Also wish they would communicate more instead of assume. Would save customers lots of time and money. Other than that we have had the beauty since May 2017 received it new, and have put over 500, yes 500 hours on it to this day and runs like a champ. Of course. Maintenance and up keep have been a major help but without Brian we would easily made a mistake. Go SUPRA. OR GO HOME. Side note:We started at Sail and ski... I know this is a review for South Austin but I would like to say that Brian's honesty and generosity helped a lot. He never once talked bad on another boat/company, nor did he try and force opinions on us he answered our questions and has lived up to his word.. they will do their best to help you from my experience. I hope to continue business here with South Austin Marine and Brian thank you again!

We found a 2015 Byrant Spreranza that we loved. We started the buying process that day. On Monday, July 13th, I met with Michael to finalize buyer's agreement and give him our $500 deposit. Michael said he would contact me later that day with a time to do a test drive and familiarize us with the boat. I reached out on Tuesday, July 14th, as I had not yet heard from Michael. He responded saying "We had a mix up on deposits on this particular boat, I'm in the process of getting to the bottom of it and was going to relay back to you after." We never heard from Michael again. On August 1st, I reached out to the CFO, Wayne Black, to tell him about our experience and to help mend the relationship before I left a 1-star review. It has been over 48 hours with zero response. While our initial experience with South Austin Marine started off well, it has ended most poorly. To have a boat (I put a deposit on) be sold out from under me, is one thing. But to have the company provide zero communication, essentially stonewalling me, is appalling and infuriating. While I will not be doing any business with them, hopefully this will allow the staff at South Austin Marine to learn a valuable lesson - communication, even when delivering bad news, is important. The total silence reveals a lack of integrity that I will never support.

The bill came to $863.13 or $432 per jetski!! For an oil change which takes 3.5 quarts of oil and a filter! The parts came to about $112, the rest was for labor at $170 an hour plus shop supplies, hazardous waste charge (oil), and credit card fee (3.5%). And by the way, it took this Master mechanic (at $170 he must top-of-the line) 1.5 hours to do this oil change! Incidentally, I looked at an old 2023 bill, when the exact same mechanic changed the oil in the exact same jetskis and it took him 1.2 hours per jetski then. And of course the hourly rate was a lot cheaper back then too (37% cheaper), but it's different ownership now when Full Throttle took over from Highland Lakes Seadoo. I guess they had to increase the time the mechanic worked on these jetskis or raise the labor rate even more to get more money in, but how much more than $170 per hour are you going to charge for a guy doing a basic oil change? Or perhaps the mechanic is slowing down in his old age, who knows? My advice? Perhaps it pays to look for a different place. By the way, all the positive reviews (with the exception of one) are about Highland Lakes Seadoo, which were the previous owners. I liked that place. The new ownership has turned greedy.

So summer comes around, boat still hasn't sold. So my partner on the boat and I decided we wanted to pick the boat up and keep it. Pat seemed aggravated by this and told me he had all these customers in different states interested, but no commitment from anyone. I asked what it would take to pay him for everything and get the boat back. ($1,420.00) I paid that with no problem because I trusted him. Well I get home and the three speakers he installed for 375$ weren't even wired in and were 45$ speakers on amazon. I called Pat and told him the issue, which he thought he would resolve with cussing and yelling as well as hanging up on me three times. I decided to let this shady gentlemen keep the money and I'm moving on to avoid confrontation. Pat is a complete SCAMMER In my bill it clearly states the 300$ I paid for the storage fees. So there was nothing free about it . AND I told you everything about the boat and asked if you wanted to get in it and look it over with me in which you said no, it looks good from down here. I had no problem paying for repairs until I was ripped off. So I don't know where you get FREE And I never didn't want you to fix anything , I paid you 400$ to replace a vinyl strip... On top of that I cut my price 5 thousand dollars and you couldn't sell it. So don't say I was using you as a free storage facility .
