Offered me $16,000 cash, I declined They then said they would try to get $30,000 They listed it for $35,000 and kept the price there for months I had someone interested in it for $27,000 and they were extremely rude to me when I tried to bring the buyer to them - they told me to get my boat back on my lift or they would be willing to settle for $22,000 cash - SERIOUSLY??????? Why would I do that. Got my boat back but they failed to return my $1,500 custom made canvas top - they told me I was out of luck. My husband and I were in the market to buy a pontoon boat never have owned a boat before we really didn't know what we wanted. We stopped into Boaters Paradise and met Danny who introduced the Avalon pontoons to us, he was very informative and not pushy. We spent some time looking at other products and went back to see Danny a few more times, each time we went back he remembered us, spent time answering our questions and all without being a pushy salesman. We decided that Avalon was the boat we wanted and so we sat down and picked out our options to have a boat built to our liking, Danny helped us through this process and gave us a price on the boat. We are people that have to think about major purchases to make sure we are making the right decision, here again Danny was patient with us and waited for us to say "yes" build it. Our boat was built over the summer and when arrived at the dealership we went to see it, it was beautiful but the floor color didn't look right to me so Danny dug into it for us and found out the floor choice we picked had been discontinued so the factory went ahead and picked a floor for us without giving us the option to choose a different floor. I was not happy and knew I would hate it every time I walked onto the boat Danny asked what they could do to make us happy? I wanted a different floor. The dealership agreed to replace the floor at their cost as the factory was not taking any responsibility. We didn't like the idea of tearing the boat all apart and neither did Danny so he spoke to the factory again and they then agreed to build us a brand new boat and would put it at the front of the line so we could have it within about three weeks. They would then keep the other boat and put it on their lot to sell. Our son had made plans to visit and so we wanted the boat by then Danny assured us we would have it. Well after all this the dealership was true to their word and had the boat ready to go for us in time for our sons visit and even had a few amazing gifts for us to go with it. This is a long review but I felt it was worth typing out so people realize what a wonderful dealership this is, there are not many places anymore that are all about customer service and making their customers happy, Boaters Paradise is definitely a place that does. We were hoping to sell our boat, so we tried Boater's Paradise. They sold our boat, then asked to give us less than our bottom line price. A month passed and they call and tell us they sold the boat and it's been taken to the new owners. When we requested to see the price it sold for they wrote one up quickly and game us a copy that obviously was not close. We were scammed. One of their own employees confirmed that to me. Then the owner tells me they're not responsible for thefts that occur on their lot! I had to pull the boat and have the parts replaced myself at a cost of $420.00. The owner told me and everyone else in his shop that he would take care of it and reimburse me for them. Its been months and I'm still waiting for that check! The owner Wally Hunter is a lying crook!! When he sends me my check or at least returns my calls to try and settle with me I'll change this revew! According to the BBB (They have an F- rating from the BBB) and the Fl. dept of Consumers affairs, im not the only person they've done this to. Consumer affairs tells me the're trying to shut them down due to several similar complaints. read more

Bought a 1988 boston whaler with newer outboards on it. I've had problems with the motors since the sea trial. I was told "their mechanic went through the motors and they ran great" that's in an email. They dumped the boat off with one dead cylinder that they couldn't figure out the issue. This is after they told me "they run great" the captain that took me on the sea trial was pretty nervous and didn't want to even try WOT so he must have known there were problems as well. Just bring your own mechanic when buying a boat and don't trust a word these clowns tell you. The owner of this company threatened to "knock my teeth out" during the second sea trial because I had thought they did something shady with the motors. My wife was there and heard him say this to me. Strange people. I gave them plenty of time to make this right in the end. They chose to ignore it read more

I just bought a 2004 19ft Pathfinder from them at a fair price in fair condition. Not a lot of haggling or back and forth which i really appreciate. The boat and motor seem to be in good condition and i will be testing it hard over the next 90 days. Everyone at dealership was very helpful. All my questions were answered in person, on the phone and via email. Minor issues with the trailer but they resolved it before i left. I would certainly buy from them again. read more

We took the boat out and the seats starting tearing apart, the roof ripped off and the entire dashboard area is broken. They told us they were going to replace everything but to this day they have not done anything. They supposedly received the wrong size seats and they waited so long to replace them the company won't exchange them. Buyers beware!....trust but verify when u purchase a boat from this used boat dealer. We fell in love w the boat and were told that repairs were made after testing boat....never repaired after we had to bring the boat to a marina when if failed. We did have a warranty on the engine but this was not an engine issue. I understand it was USED however when we r told a repair is completed u believe it has been done. I purchased a Carolina Skiff Offshore 2400. The boat needed the port lights replaced, which I was aware of when I inspected the boat, but other than that it seemed to be in great condition. Danny & Johnny could not have been nicer. I needed a trailer & wanted a filler cushion for the cuddy cabin to make the deal. They contacted the owner (remember they sell on consignment & are the go betweens) & made the deal on my behalf. They addressed all my concerns regarding Suzuki Outboards & the issue of internal zincs corroding, causing underlying damage to the outboard internals. They removed the zincs & sent me photos of their condition. They also checked the batteries & charging, as this was a concern during Sea Trials. They got all the boats curtains & even found covers for the outboards after the sale had gone through. They made the paperwork painless & all this was done quickly & with complete professionalism. I am now looking for a smaller Flats boat to compliment my fleet & will definitely use these people again. The buyer who doesn't do his research on the boat being purchased, should by new & not from a consignment dealer. These guys perform a service & do it well. I would definitely recommend them to any intelligent buyer looking to streamline the purchase of a used vessel. Danny & Johnny are more than fair to the buyer & the seller alike. They take the hassle out of completing a purchase. They looked after me & will look after you given the chance. read more
