Awful company- my car got a flat unfortunately while driving home from work- used Tesla services to connect to try to get help. They showed up, did not acknowledge me what so ever- I tried to walk up to driver to see what's going on, and they sped off and turned around at the end of the road just sitting shining their lights in my face. Bob & Dave's never mentioned that they would not actually release my vehicle to the salvage yard without my in-person verbal authorization and a signed form from Whittier PD (vehicle was stolen and had to be impounded after it was recovered) until my insurance attempted to pick it up. Seriously? You couldn't mention this two days ago when the agent was first in contact with you? Called them up, and right off the bat the front desk woman laughed like a bratty 12 year old when I had to look for my VIN and then ironically proceeded to act like she was my mother after I used the f-word a couple times--NOT directed at her--and told me to "call back when I have a better attitude." Then hung up. Called back right away, and there was no Hello--she just breathed into the phone. Seriously, how immature can you be? No one has time for these games. Couple minutes later, she answered the phone with words. She told me it was never their job to let the insurance know they'll require a release form. Wow. Just sounds like evading responsibility--why would they not communicate the process of releasing a stolen vehicle to insurance? They must deal with it all the time. I didn't expect much from a tow yard, but this was such incompetence and lack of giving a f**k. Had to take time off work and go over to Bob & Dave's a couple hours later to drop off the release form. Since our debacle over the phone had been about whether or not it needs to be submitted in-person I was greeted with, "Ohhh no kidding, here in-person with the release form?" and the rest of the interaction was unpleasantly loaded with her sarcasm. She also dropped an f-bomb in-office (I don't care--it's a tow yard, not a public library) after giving me sh** for the same thing earlier. My car was STOLEN and wrecked, not parked illegally or repossessed, and the process afterwards is so stressful. The last thing I need is this Gremlin with 3" blue fingernails and a very ironic Ziggy Marley sweatshirt to make the situation worse for everyone involved. Be an adult, be a professional, or at least if you're gonna dish it then be ready to take it. The one thing that eased some irritation was that a couple of really nice Bob & Dave's tow guys listened to me vent about her after walking out of the office. Seems like--not just from the other Yelp reviews--but from their response she's a constant problem, and I don't think her coworkers even like her. Rodney Sellers (the owner) and Crystal Sellers (the office manager) should do everyone a favor and just replace her with a better human. Having to deal with a tow company that employs unpleasant, sour, rude, sarcastic and hostile employees like Rodney further exasperates the situation. Rodney was difficult to deal with and extremely unhelpful. I called at approximately 7:45pm, after hours. This leads me to believe that Rodney is working a night shift and I know first hand that that can sometimes suck. Refused tow authorization and inspection before paying and signing paperwork both of which I am legally entitled to. Left my medication in the car and they refused to let me get it, citing "we aren't drug dealers". I had called the sheriffs department to find out that my car was here and upon arrival, and seeing my car myself since the gate was open, was asked "how the fuck do you know its here?" If I could give this place negative stars I would. The front receptionist provided the worst customer service ever. Obviously, we did not choose to come here willingly, our car was impounded but that still is no reason to be disrespectful or rude under no means. I asked her for her name and she would not tell me. My car was parked over 18 inches away from curb so police had it towed. I saw them tow the car away. No one went inside while it was getting hooked up. When I went to pick up the car the following day it was opened and someone from the tow company went inside the car. Spoke with police department and they told me the tow company is not allowed to enter car once at the tow yard. Employees opened the car to look for anything worth stealing. And this is a company that contracts with Whittier police department, Chp, and metro. Contracts should be voided and investigated for breaking into cars and theft. read more

To whoever picked up the call from us- damn. How rude and curt could you get?! My husband's tires popped on the way to his grandma's funeral in Downey and we got connected to Bob & Dave's towing through Tesla services. The estimated time was 2 hrs so we missed the funeral (which is not their fault)- but out of the sheer confusion of everything and the explosion of emotions, we called to check what the timing was after we waited a little over 1 hr. We weren't complaining - only asking what the eta was so we get an idea of how much longer we would need to wait- be it one more hour, two more hr- no biggie at that point, just wanted to know an eta. The guy was so severely incapable and just kept repeating - 2 hrs from the estimate, 2 hrs from the estimate. He could have easily given us an actual answer instead of choosing to be so difficult while repeating the same words like a mindless idiot. I told him I started to record the conversation and only then did he finally put us on hold to give us an actual answer- literally it's your job to pick up calls and answer questions. read more

Yesterday I went to leave my house to go to work when I noticed my car wouldn't start and it had no power at all. Looks like I had left the lights inside the car on all night and I needed a jump start. I called Bob & Dave's after finding them on google and seeing they provided the service I needed. A driver named Bravo arrived 20 minutes after I called and was able to jump start my vehicle right away and I was only 5 minutes late to work. I was quoted a certain price over the phone ($120) and then told it was going to be more ($450) than what I was told over the phone by the driver once he got there. If they would have told me that price over the phone I would have NEVER asked them to tow my car. I was trying to call family and figure things out because I was alone and I'm 7 months pregnant and the driver was annoyed and told me "well since you don't have the money I'm just going to tow it to the tow yard and you'll have to pay an extra $55 a day until you come up with the money". I was distraught and obviously shaken up being pregnant and just in an accident. The guy could have cared less! This place towed my Lamborghini and damaged my custom front bumper. The employee who did the damage was so afraid to tell her boss because due to termination wanted to pay out of pocket. When presented with the bill she told her boss and he had given us the run around for about a month now. Please note this was done during a CHP tow and the proper equipment was not used. My son had an accident and totaled the car when he went to to tell them AAA was going to pick it up they bullied him into paying them now then towed the car out of their yard into a red zone. The they told him to have it towed somewhere or they would. This knowing that AAA's was coming to pick it up and take it to their total loss yard in Carson. I used to think this was a one star company that had horrible customer service by a gentlemen who went by "Fred" he was rude, short, and unhelpful. I called last week because my wife had locked her keys in our car. I was reluctant to call because I didn't want to speak with this Fred character again but i was surprised when a woman answered the phone who was very friendly. I Was on the 60 freeway when something punctured my tires and gas tank , CHP showed up and sent me these guys, I would have rather waited the 3 hours that my insurance people would have sent then ever get these guys to do it. Everything seems fine at first but then they act dumb when they arrive at the spot , tells me first his hourly rate then when we arrive he says it's his half hour rate. but takes his sweet time to tell me anything because he's to busy smoking on the job. I had to get my motorcycle towed off the I-60 after an accident. They charged $225 to tow the bike less than 5 miles and hold it for 6 hours. The driver had no idea how to tie down a bike and probably bent the frame, not that it mattered because the bike was totaled anyway. Then they 'lost' the key and we're unable to find it, even after I called and stopped by repeatedly for over a month. I had to spend several hundred dollars to hire a locksmith to make a new key for the ignition and gas cap. It would have been cheaper to get a three year AAA subscription and use their free towing. Next time I'll push the bike with a broken leg rather than allow these guys anywhere near my vehicle. Additionally they charge $45 a day for storage. I'm not a fan. read more
