DO NOT USE THIS TOW COMPANY SERVICE! Read the reviews! I recently locked my keys into my Toyota Camry 2024 trunk. AAA sent out this company and John was the technician. When John arrived he looked like he hated his job. He was annoyed that he was sent out for this job because he said the newer cars are basically harder to get into and that I would need the spare to actually get my keys out from the trunk. Knowing this information John still got in through the window into the car. He then proceeded to get into my hood to disconnect & tamper with my battery. He basically was trying to prove his point just to be a jerk. He then closed the hood and left. 1 week later my battery dies and again AAA sends out the same company same technician John. I called the actual tow company and let them know about the previous service. Shawn the "manager" said that John should have never touched the battery and that he would take care of the issue if it was dead. John came out and confirmed it was dead. I called back spoke with Shawn again and his whole attitude changed. He talks so rude and disrespectful it's kind of hard to believe he is a manager. (with all calls being recorded) He said he wasn't going to help after all and that I needed to go to my dealership. I've had Toyotas and this has never happened within 2 yrs of having a brand new car. I escalated the issue with AAA & a guy Robert from Brea towing contacted me. He also did nothing. He said the company wasn't going to do anything & wished me luck. From the reviews I am gonna take this further with Toyota & AAA. I will do everything to take this matter higher. These people have been doing people wrong for a very long time and getting away with it because of the contract and money they are making off AAA. I had the best AAA service call in 44 years from Jose Arellano of Brea Towing Service. He arrived 10-15 min after my call for a dead battery. He cleaned the terminals to get an accurate test and showed me it was only at 22%, so recommended replacement. No surprise since the battery was 7-1/2 years old. That's really good for a AAA battery, so I decided to get another. At $224 including labor, it's more expensive than an auto parts store, but very convenient. Jose was very efficient, really knew how to use his iPhone app, jump starter, and battery tester. He explained the entire process as he was working, and since we're both car guys, we talked cars and he's very knowledgable. After removing the old battery, he cleaned the bracket, tray, and surrounding area - most importantly, he did a very thorough job of cleaning the cable terminals. Then he installed the new battery, sprayed CRC battery protector on the battery and cable terminals, and took away the old battery core. Beware of this place. . Needed a car battery replaced last week for my wife's car. Called AAA and Brea Towing came out and replaced battery for 199$ (before tax). Today, my car battery died (great timing right ?!) and AAA sent out these guys again. They replaced my battery and it cost 199$ (before tax) and the technician says oh there's a 50 dollar labor fee for install. Me being unaware a fast one was being pulled on me and in a jam I said ok. So, Brea towing charged me a bogus 50 dollar "labor fee" for the EXACT SAME service my wife got a week prior. I called several times to complain and speak with a "manager" but never received a call back. He was even training someone and gave them great instructions. When he arrived, he tried to call me for ten minutes; however, because our street's cell reception is terrible (ATT) I did not get his calls. After being 30 minutes late I contacted the tow truck company to find out the status. Only need to be berated and talk down to as he told me I couldn't get my way and I had to wait another hour to two hours for them to pick me up And then begin to tell me how bad the economy was and that's why it is what it is and then canceled my appointment. So as we all know, breaking down is no fun. Left on the side of the road with your family is downright miserable and an anxiety trigger. And that's exactly what happened tonight. I reached out to AAA and they initially set me up with Fullerton tow and they told me it would be 44 minutes before they could get there. That didn't seem to be an unreasonable amount of time however two hours later I was still stranded and no communication. I reached back out to AAA and they said that they'd reach out to them and I should expect a phone call very soon letting me know what their ETA was. However, another hour and a half later, I was in the exact same boat no communication and still stranded. At this point, we decided to get an Uber and go home so that my wife could tuck the kids into bed and get them ready for school tomorrow. I hopped in our other car and drove back to our broke down truck again calling AAA to help with the situation. Now let me be clear, AAA. I never have any problems with their customer. Service is wonderful. They communicate well and I generally have a positive experience when dealing with them. However, tonight was not the case, but it wasn't necessarily their fault. It was the subcontractor Fullerton tow. Anyways, at this point, my truck had cooled down and I decided to drive it one more exit so I could put some coolant in it and see if that could solve the problem. It did not. In fact, it got hot very quickly once again and I pulled over and parked it immediately. I reached out to AAA a third time and this time they sent brea towing service. Needless to say, I was frustrated and exhausted from this whole ordeal. A gentleman by the name of James showed up. He was sympathetic to the situation and didn't waste any time hooking up the truck and starting his journey to my house. Once he arrived at my house, he dropped the truck with no problems. He was again very kind and really took a bad situation and left me with a good feeling at the end of all of it. Brea towing service should be proud to have an employee like James. I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the service my elderly mother received from one of your drivers during a recent towing service. I called Brea Towing from 80 miles away to assist my mother, whose truck had broken down, expecting professional and compassionate service. Unfortunately, the driver who arrived was extremely unkind and rude, telling my mother she was "wasting his time." This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially toward an elderly person in need of assistance. It has now been four days since we called to speak with a manager regarding this incident, and we have yet to receive a response. If I had known that my mother would be treated this way, I would have chosen a different company. Never called to tell me what was going on, when I called I was to call back in 20 min if not there, I called back 25 min and still waiting. Mario showed up at 2:00 pm and was also nice, clean and treated me respectfully and professionally as all Brea drivers have in the past They said my tow would not be charged to AAA but I think they could have done more especially communicating to me. Poor customer service. My fiancé had a nail on his right front tire. Tow came out and said he would not change tire because it was not flat. I have Triple A and they said he was to change it to prevent a blow out. We reported this company to Triple A unfortunately it seems that this is the only company Triple A uses for my area therefore Triple A was not able to get another company out. We recently had our car stolen and totaled, front passenger side wheel was completely gone and had to be towed. We used our AAA membership for the first tow with a different tow company and we had no problem. This past Saturday we scheduled our second tow with AAA and we had Hinh from Brea Tow come. He was very rude, asking why we didn't have our car towed from the tow yard to the junk yard and told us AAA is refusing the tow because the tire is missing. I told him that AAA had our car towed before with no problem and there had been no change with the condition of the car. He went on some speech of something about a mother teaching a child how to eat, made no sense lol. I asked him, well then what are we supposed to do? He told me that I need to go to the junk yard, get a tire, put the tire on and he'll come back and tow the car. I didn't have a good feeling, so after he left us, I called AAA back. They said they had it in the notes that the tire was missing and there shouldn't be a problem. She called a different tow company in the same area, KO Towing & Recovery, the tow driver was extremely nice & professional and got the car on the tow bed within 15 mins. It was a little more work since the tire was missing, so I'm assuming that's why Brea Towing's driver refused to tow our car. If I could leave 0 stars I would. read more

I don't have a memory of a worst customer service experience. Almost felt like I was being pranked, that's how surreal it was. Driver called me with incredibly bad attitude right off the bat. When I asked him i wanted to speak to a supervisor he said he was it. I asked him who was above him and he said "God" the gentleman called from +1 (818) 751-3754. Called the office, better experience but the dispatcher said he was sending the same driver as if I had not made myself clear that I could not recall a more almost comically interaction with a company we have used for probably a decade. This gentleman from Brea Towing came and found us and was very friendly, he looked at our tire and tired to fill it up with air but it didn't work, and told us there was a nail in our tire. so he installed a spare tire that we had and was a expert on doing it.
