Don't go here, I went and 4 guys tried to fight my dad and I over a parking spot. After we had moved our car to a different parking spot ( there was no signs saying not to park or in regards to parking in that spot) we drove away to find a different spot on the street and they came to the street trying to fight. Then another guy in a truck pulled up demanding us to get out the car so "we can get these hands". Definitely wouldn't recommend this spot. They are aggressive and violent. I ended up going to a shop a couple business's down and told them what happened and they stated that they fought her husband and now they can't do business peacefully there as well. Don't go here unless you want to get into in aggression altercation behind a parking spot. I didn't even make it inside to speak with them about my issue before getting attacked. Tried calling and making a police report as I am pregnant and feared for my safety but since I drove away they couldn't do anything. read more

Just got home from picking up my car and HAD to write this review. Let me start off by saying that JEREMY, JASMINE, & TONY ARE AMAZING! Got into an accident and needed to repair the whole right side of my car. First time I came here they gave me an ETA of 4 weeks so I put it off for a while. Came back again to officially get my car fixed and I believe Jeremy was the one who assisted me with everything at the front desk. He gave me an ETA of 2.5 weeks just by looking at it so I was pretty happy about that. Filled out all the paperwork and left it there. The whole process was so quick and easy. Jeremy was awesome! He was very polite and super informative. I accidentally left my glasses in my car and called to pick them up. He went above and beyond to look for them in my car and had them waiting at the front desk when I got there. His customer service alone deserves 5 stars! Once I left my car, they sent me a link via text to keep me updated with everything going on. I didn't have to call them once to check on anything. I got calls from Jasmine letting me know everything that they were doing to my car and when certain parts would be expected in. I didn't have a chance to speak with her but she left voicemails updating me the whole time which was so kind of her! I really appreciated how much effort they both put in! Lastly got an email from Tony that it was time to pick up my car and he called to schedule a pick up time. He was so nice and let me pick it up same day. Once I picked up my car, I honestly had zero expectations for the work itself since I'm selling my car but they're making me reconsider because they did an INCREDIBLE JOB!!!!!! I called this body shop and was greeted by the male secretary. I asked if I could do a walk in estimate as I need one for the a third party association to pay for the damage their property did to my car. The male on the phone said yeah come on through, I just can't guarantee how quick it can be done depending on how big or small the work is. Once I got there the secretary of the body shop probably saw it was just minor damage to the A pillar and changed his narrative to saying who did I speak to, that they don't do walk in estimates, only visuals and that then they arrange for a time for them to dismantle my car for a proper estimate because they get 25 new cars to repair weekly. I understated not wanting to take repairs that will only cost $1,500 to $3,000 but come on. Do not waste people's time. Be upfront on the phone. An estimate to repair damage to the A pillar shouldn't take a long to draft with pending further evaluation. read more

I had brought my car for estimation, made an online appointment. Appointment availability on the online portal started at 8 AM. I selected 8 AM. Arrived at 810ish since the shop did not open until 8 AM. There was some person seated at the desk looking at their phone, not acknowledging me. Then someone off to the side said, the estimator is LATE. The estimator arrived 35 mins late from my registered appointment with an attitude. I was talking to my spouse about our adjuster at our insurance company, when the appraiser said, "what did you say?" With an attitude. Then he took me out to see my car and said our appointments do not start till 830. He then refused to see my car. I had to call my insurance company, and rush to the next shop to get my car seen before I started work in less than an hour. This is not a professional shop.I will file a complaint with my insurance company to discourage them from referring business to this shop. Management has no control of their staff and the staff does as they please. read more

Overall my experience at Larry's was good. Had backed up the 3d old M3P into the garage (yes, I would blame Musk for his shortsightedness in saving $144/car, especially on a 60k car). Damage came out to be around $6k, covered by insurance. Kind of on the pricier side, but quality of work was good. I am sorry my earlier review inadvertently shows 4 stars in error. Sean and this facility deserve negative 5 stars. Unfortunately Yelp does not allow that!! This franchisee is a disgrace to The Carstar brand. The only reason I went there was that they are a Tesla certified body shop. Why would Tesla certify such a ridiculously bad body shop? I hope there is a way to alert Tesla of the misgivings of this shop!! They absolutely provide no service to customers and actually they seem to be indifferent to the plight of their customers. They just don't care about their customers. Sean lies again and again and again. He has no shame to keep customers waiting for months. All lies and stories!! I am shocked to see so many people who give this facility good reviews. I doubt it is real. You only get a run around from this facility. Love this place! This is my second time taking a car in to CarStar and both time have been easy breezy. They make my life easier by setting up my car rental, keeping me in the loop with regular status and then working with us and our insurance smoothly. I was referred by State Farm,and being close to home it seemed like a good choice. My wife was asked to bring our truck in for an initial estimate,and to order parts. They said they needed to prepare. Initially we were told the repairs should take no more than a week,which worked for us. Then comes the drop off. We were then told they didn't know how long it would take,and an estimator would call me. The next day I called to confirm how long the repairs would take. The person I spoke to said he didn't know,and would need another inspection and more e-signatures. I think they wrapped the whole thing up in red tape to buy themselves more time. I decided to take my vehicle elsewhere. I've dealt with a lot of shops over the years ,and never had the process be so unnecessarily complicated. read more

Thank you Mario, the owner of Larry's Auto Body, for going in the extra mile for this last minute estimate. My garage neighbor hit my car so I needed to gather some repair estimates. The neighbor wanted to visit this place which was new to me. I called at 5:10pm knowing they closed at 5:30- I was close but 10 minutes away. I asked if I could still come in for an estimate- I know they can take some time. Mario was super welcoming and professional, told me to come in, exactly what you hope to hear from a business owner (though I would have certainly understood if he hadn't been so accommodating- people need to go home). The check in system was easy and modern, like my favorite spa/massage places- the waiting/office area was cool, spotless and smelled great. His estimate was very professional, then he explained all the elements. I'm obviously not an auto body specialist so he pointed out some issues that a professional eye would notice regarding the damaged area. It was also comparable to my previous estimate (take note ladies- we somethings know automotive places get creative- it's nice when they are upfront and ethical) Support Local business- Larry's has been there for decades which speaks to its local legacy and obviously it's reputation is being upheld by Mario in his taking it over. read more

It is great that the people seem knowledgeable about the car repair, however talking about and actually repairing the car properly are two different things. We went there because this place was supposedly certified by Tesla. Our Tesla was taken in for two repairs. We got our vehicle back after about 3 weeks. The car shifted out of place as time went on. We took the car back to Tesla several times and many screws were missing from the body work. We also got a Tesla tire rotation and a bolt was inside the rim from the careless repair guy reassembly which are technician cited. If I could sum up my experience I would say "Great introduction and poor follow through." read more

Lies, lies and more lies. I brought my Tesla here because I saw they were a certified shop. After giving my insurance info, Sean said he would preorder the parts (so that I did not have to leave my car here while the parts shipped out) My insurance even sent them the check to proceed. I doubt they ever ordered the parts though. Since my initial visit, they never updated me and instead dodged all my calls. After a month of waiting around like this, I called everyday to ask about any sort of update. Everyday was the same runaround: Jason or Todd picked up the phone and said Sean was not in the office and would call me back. Sean never called me back. It felt very rude and for no reason. I then visited, in-person, again to see if there was an update, giving them another chance. They hadn't ordered the parts and said they would preorder parts. Again, nothing came of this. Complete waste of time and absolutely unacceptable customer service. After another month of waiting, they finally told me their technician was in the hospital and it would be a few more months. I doubt they ever even ordered my parts. I don't understand why they wouldn't want to take my business considering my total bill ended up being 18.5K from Tesla's Collision Center in Santa Monica. I would recommend all others to call Tesla Santa Monica as they were responsive and took my car in right away, despite the longer drive there. CarStar Larry wasted 2 months, and much of my personal time; I HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST BRINGING YOUR TESLA HERE! They purchased the new bumper, painted it, that replace my broken one. It was all a very seamless transaction. Please if you have a choice DO NOT take your vehicle here or you will not get it back till over a month later!!! It took CARSTAR Larry's Auto Body about a month after I got rear ended to get my vehicle repaired! I took my truck in soon after the accident happened and I ended up getting an "appointment" for two weeks after to go drop off my vehicle for estimates and repairs. After that, I waited a whole week just to get the estimate, let alone start the repairs. They hadn't even touched it!! If I hadn't gone in to ask about it, I don't know how much longer I would've had to wait to get my truck back!! The damage on my truck wasn't even bad enough to warrant them holding my truck for two weeks. Their response? They were back logged with vehicles, that they hadn't worked on the paperwork and updates because "there was only one writer" and that they were "waiting on parts" and it was out of their control. Their laissez-faire attitude of returning the clients' vehicles back in a timely manner is stressfully infuriating and unsatisfactory. This was piss poor planning, piss poor time management, piss poor managerial skills, and all of that starts with the PISS POOR LEADERSHIP of the manager, which in turn, trickles down to every employee in that office. Not to mention the PISS POOR SERVICE they did on my truck!! My tailgate isn't even lining up with the outside seems and has come open twice now while on the road!!! After an accident, the car was scheduled for repairs at this shop. The scheduled services were not done right. The back bumper was supposed to be replaced but they left the taillight broken. The entire side of the car was left without repairs. I spent my time from work, gas and energy to get a completed repaired car but instead I am frustrated and left without working car. I've brought my Tesla in two times in the past six months. (I've had a run of bad luck of being rear ended in parking lots...) Both times, they were fantastic. Sean deals with Teslas and he's gone above and beyond. The first time he alerted me that my coolant was low and topped it up. (Which he didn't have to do but was much appreciated.) The second time, I had a small ding in my door (unrelated to the accident) and they were able to repair that as well during the process, saving me some money since they were already painting that area of the car due to the damage from the accident.
