The change in manager to Drake has run this restaurant into the ground. it was previously a good option for decent food and reasonable service. then they brought in a new manager that is too concerned with staring at his phone than doing his job. the food has become not only terrible, but unsafe. It's often cold, old and funky. Because Drake is determined to get out of there promptly at the 9pm closing, for at least 2 hours before, they herd everyone together at close-together tables. crowded at the front of the restaurant--hovering the loud and filthy kitchen. corporate management just does not care. the staff here is hostile, crass, uncaring and just dirty. yuck. The staff is amazing, the hard working cooks behind the line actually care about your food. What isn't cared about is the employees who actually make this place Great. The cooks the servers the host and hostesses all make it run smooth. What lacks is management...I'm not bitter, I was interviewed and told full time, I was told 10 am to 7. Guess what I got not even close..Denise the General Manager lied, I had the skills for all and the know it and acknowledged it, however I got a schedule as if I was living with my parents lol I'm 59. I had a rough week, health and family which could all be documented, I wasn't given a chance just said by Denise we are done lol lol....I was going to quit regardless because of her lying at my interview, just wanted to give a minute to see.. then life happens..I showed up always ready to work and was even told by Denise how I jump in and just know what I'm doing. Actually their loss...meaning you Denise...you say one thing and do another..that's a liar. Please go for the food because the employees are great..few exceptions however I'll leave the high school people out. Not 1, not 2, but 3 different waitresses looked at us, never came to our table, never offered to take our drink order. They were slow, so busy isn't an excuse. Empty table were dirty. We left. All of them just standing by the kitchen talking and laughing. I doubt we will go back. Bucyrus ohio, I do not recommend. read more

I walked into this restaurant, and the first thing I saw was a disgusting couple. The couple were not customers, but the hostesses, I swear they were going to make out. Tchey kept flirting and not paying attention to the fact that there were a line of customers at the door. After having to watch this disgusting PDA and I was sat I ordered my food and waited. I ended up waiting 30 minutes for a drink, and then 40 minutes for my food not only that, but the managers were not helping any of the servers at all, but instead, taking smoke breaks outside or messing with other workers And just Joking around. The worst part of it all as I heard a very disgusting, gross joke come from the kitchen, something about cum and penises? I keep telling myself I won't return then months later I do thinking the experience will be better but it is not. The wait time to be seated is annoying. It is never quick. Service is usually slow and just about every server acts like they hate their job. Today two servers were talking and complaining about someone they work with. Excellent food, fast service and our waiter Cordell was fabulous and very attentive. His service was above the call of duty. We come here to Bucyrus twice a year and never ate here. My husband and I were traveling when we stopped at this Bob Evans location. It's a little different than other Bob Evans location as far as the set up of the store and the seating area. The lobby or waiting area is almost non-existant and the seating area is separated and feels a little crowded. Just a little different. But, as far as the food, it was the typical Bob Evans food. I think most of it is just microwaved anyway, so there isn't much difference from one to the next. But, it was still delicious. The wait was average and there really wan't anything that was out of the ordinary or bad about the experience. It was a nice breakfast and relaxing experience. read more

This doesn't even deserve a rating. Ordered a cup size vegetable soup ($4.50) and the cup looked more like a container you would put a side of Cole slaw in. This restaurant was clean but the real winners were the staff. We came in and there was only one waitress (named Kate) and she was fabulous! The restaurant was slammed and she not only got our orders correct but she also checked back for refills. She had approximately 15 tables and it was the best service I've had in a long time. This was by far the worst Bob Evans I have ever been to. The bathrooms were gross, not the worst but still not very clean. The kitchen was a disaster, the floor was covered in food. It was disgusting. It took almost and hour to get our food, and when it came out it was gross. I ordered the classic breakfast, and my eggs were green and rubbery. The bacon and biscuits were okay, but I truly felt disgusted and nauseous after seeing the kitchen and know my food that I had just eaten was prepared in there. Was here today around 2:30 pm---the waitress took our order and we sat and sat with no food and people coming in after us was getting their food but not us---so I decided to find someone and ask why! A couple of minutes later here came our server with our food---she said they had to wait until the carrots got cooked! Well the carrots were still not cooked---if she had come to our table and ask if there was something else we might like if we didn't want to wait for the carrots to cook then we would not have had to sit there for 25 minutes to eat! Stopped on way to cedar point. Which was closed but that's a different story. The service was above awesome. From the manager to the server. The food was very reasonably priced and decent. Nothing amazing but they had light options which was great. I got the fit breakfast, which was only 5.99. The pancakes were slightly over cooked and didn't include my fruit but I had more then enough to eat so I wasn't bothered. The coffee was pretty good compared to other chain places. Husband got the southern omelet. He liked it. It's a dependable place to eat and bob Evans is pretty consistent across the chain so you know what you're getting into. read more

Waitress was pleasant & attentive. Food was ok. Fresh fruit was very good. Many locals have quit going here. Just not like it used to be. Parking lot was empty at 7:30 pm on a Monday. My friends and I ate at the local Bob Evans last evening. I ordered the sirloin steak and shrimp meal. When my meal came, there was no shrimp. I mentioned it to the waitress and she took her time but brought out three small shrimp on a plate. I'd ordered my steak medium rare, and it was medium-medium well and had no flavor at all. This had to be the worst meal I ever had at Bob Evans. We looked for a "comment note" but there were none. Our waitress was ok, which is the nicest thing I say about my experience. We have been coming to your restaurant once a month for the past few months but will not be back. I rated my visit a 1 because the potato and beans were ok. read more

Not your typical Bob Evans. I ordered carry out and picked it up a few minutes before they said to be there. The fish was cold, the potatoes were not cooked or crispy. No butter for rolls. Sat down after a 10 minute wait in a small waiting area where while standing I seen 5 open booths. Had a lousy breakfast in there at supper time order the sausage gravy biscuits with scrambled eggs and bacon told them I wanted everything stacked there was hardly any gravy on it the waitress said she would bring it out to me some more never got it I ate a few bites of it and just left it for waitresses busy waiting on other tables three times told me she would bring it out never did it's not her fault the damn Cook's didn't even have gravy made up got very little gravy the meal came out some people got served other sitting at our table I blame it on the kitchen not on the poor waitress but she never came back to see if we need it refills or anything else don't think I'll go back there and eat again read more

We consistently are disappointed by this restaurant, but gave it a try again. 1 1/2 hours later we were disappointed again. Hot chocolate came as pure syrup and was undrinkable. this Bob Evans is old and outdated compared to the one in Marion, OH and Findlay, OH . Waiting area is almost non existent. I use to come here all of the time with my family to eat but the service is so slow, inaccurate, and the food is bland. You can guarantee there's almost always something wrong with their cash registers where they cannot accept card. I even saw a waitress steal tips off tables that were not hers. I also found a bug in my french toast. Luckily, the blonde manager said our meal was on the house. I remember in high school we would all meet here every Saturday morning and now almost no one goes here because of the atmosphere, waitresses and food. I hope this gets an upgrade or sell it to someone who knows how to make food. read more

Ordered the Farmhouse Feast x2 for Thanksgiving several weeks in advance, and when we went to pick it up, they didn't have it ready. The 5 stars come from the fact that the wonderful gentlemen getting those ready for the day heard our story and said" I can make that happen, give me 10 minutes" That nice gesture saved our Thanksgiving. Only reason I'm giving a 1 star is because I don't have the option for none. I find it extremely upsetting that I drive all the way from galion to get the crispy fried chicken breasts only to be told that they don't serve it till 4. I have gotten it before around noon multiple times. I will never EVER come here again and will never recommend it to anyone! On the several occasions I have dined at the Bucyrus Bob Evans Restaurant, the food has been consistently good and the staff has always been attentive, professional, and courteous.
