Instead of stressing about making a big Christmas dinner this year, my family opted for the turkey Farmhouse Feast. Everything is already cooked and packaged. All we had to do was pick it up on Christmas Eve and reheat the food. The dinner came with turkey, green beans, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, pumpkin pie, and whipped cream. This meal is intended to feed four people, but I think we could have fed five, maybe six. There was plentyyy of food! My favorite item was the mashed potatoes. Super smooth and creamy. They tasted great by themselves, but the gravy obviously was a yummy addition. It went well with the turkey too. I wasn't a huge fan of the rolls though. They tasted very strongly of yeast. If you like that flavor, then you'd love these. The pumpkin pie had the right amount of spice and wasn't overly sweet, so it didn't cause that "sugar fatigue" feeling. Overall, the meal was awesome! If you want a simple dinner and not a sink full of dishes, I recommend ordering this meal. You'll have plenty of leftovers! read more

Pretty good meal here - they offer breakfast all day I think, so my husband got his favorite Southwest omelette but I went for a lunch combo. $9 for half size Cobb salad which was still enormous, half pot roast sandwich, and two rolls! You can't get the same deal at Panera and this was much better. I did have a water and also a Strawberry Citrus Splash which was really good, orange juice with strawberry puree. I liked it so much I think I'll try to replicate it at home! It was a bit slow to get our drinks but the table next to us was a bit needy, but once they finished and left she was very attentive and kept my water and his coffee full at all times. Nice and clean, and had we still been hungry the dessert options looked delicious with apple pie or Oreo cheesecake, but on a road trip didn't want to overeat. So disappointing. We try to go to bobs from time to time hoping it will be better than last time. We love Bob Evans...or used to. Just not very good food. They seat everyone together and do not utilize the entire restaurant. Oh and be sure to request your salad to come before your meal, new policy is to bring with the meal. Watch for unadvertised up charges as well. Would like to know wtf happened to the fried chicken??? It's just bad. Taste like its microwaved and in the past was my go to comfort meal. Chicken and noodles are normally tasteless. Last Tuesday tried a bob evens in Columbus thinking again, it might be better than Cambridge??? Nope. Never again. Breakfast is great here. Standard Bob Evans food. I have gone to the restaurant twice now for dinner though. Neither time was I greeted or even recognized. This review, 4 stars out if 5 is for the way the manager handled a mixup of service. My family waited for our meals beyond the time it should have taken while customers seated after us enjoyed their meals. The manager explained the mix up, apologized (sincerely) and took care of the bill. Mistakes happen and I'm sure even more now with the lack of staff. Kudos to this manager or head waitress for your professionalism! read more

I had not had an opportunity to eat at a Bob Evans until we drove through Ohio. I was kind of excited because I'd only tried the Mac and cheese and potatoes from the refrigerator section of my local grocery. It's the 4th of July and we were happy to find an open restaurant. We were sat quickly and we ordered sweet tea, pot roast, and Turkey with dressing. When we got our meals we had to keep asking for bread (I'm a huge fan of bread and it's important to me ) Both meals were lukewarm. The carrots on both of our meals were wrinkly? I have never seen carrots with wrinkles before, it was weird. There was like a strange layer over them that kind of felt like what I can only describe as a thin layer like biting into a sausage casing. The potatoes also had a layer like that. My husband said it's like the food was reheated and sat a while. The server never refilled our drinks, I asked for a to go tea and we finally had to have the hostess get it for me. We had also ordered a meal that came with pie. We had to ask 3 times. The strawberry pie btw was exceptional and I ate it like I had never eaten before. If I visited a Bob Evans again it would just be for the Strawberry Pie. So in the future if we had an option we would go to Cracker Barrel. The food there is consistent and you get a larger portion for the price. read more

When a signature menu item at a national franchise outlet is bad, you know there's a real problem. Most Bob Evans locations are cheery, with kitchens meeting corporate standards and service prompt. Not so at this one. The first disappointment was the host. He showed up after we'd waited a while, failed to give us a greeting and then seemed to guide us - a clearly road-weary older couple - to the first table he encountered, in a high-traffic, high-noise area. We objected and picked a quieter table. Our server was not neatly dressed and projected fatigue. She explained that a new, featured menu item was not available at that store, she said, nor at any other. I settled for the iconic broasted chicken. When that Bob Evans signature item appeared, it apparently had been sitting under a heat lamp until every particle of moisture had been vaporized. Inedible. I have never understood how 1. A kitchen can allow a dish past its shelf life to go out the door and 2. How a server can carry that item to the customer. When I sent it back, I was told that the hardened chicken breast was the last of its kind in the store. The substitute was a couple of those breaded chicken pucks used in salads and found under marinara sauce. The chicken noodle soup we ordered was fine. When the bill came, the server told us that the manager had erased the charge for the broasted and deep-fried items. Would have been better for the manager to tell us. We left without the perked-up feeling that we'd associated with Bob Evans over the years. We don't demand great food there. We just expect a pleasant break from the road. A poor meal, even a free one, doesn't deliver that break. read more

I was in there 1-6-2023 at about 4 pm. In the section we were seated there was only one other table. Not only did it take over 45 minutes to fix my order it was cold and slapped together. I ordered a steak burger and fries it was a total pile of slop and the prices have went way up. I will not be back!!!! read more

Thank you that was the best meal I have had in a year! Ordered the veggie hash: wow not only was it good i did not need to add anything to it salt/pepper ect. It was prepared perfectly. Not over cooked, pieces not too big, not greasy I could actually enjoy the flavor of each veggie. I got sausage patties and pancakes on the side. Sage sausage, fluffy pancakes good good good ingredients you can taste! The portions are perfect size. So many restaurants make the portions too big, this so you focus on that and dont notice the taste. I wish ALL the truck stops would dump the dennys, waffle house, and cracker barrel, and fast food. My husband and I are having dinner tonight and he asked for "limp" bacon with his meal. This is what he was given. It clearly wasn't the waitresses fault, she went back to ask for new bacon and we heard her tell him that she asked for limp bacon and it was his job to make it that way and he said well I guess I'll make it again... this is unacceptable. I had the Wildfire Chicken Salad. This thing is a monster of a salad and delicious. They bring out "Ranch" but it was not white. However, you do not need much as the chicken comes with BBQ and it's plenty for the salad. The meal also came with two biscuits, which I did not need two, but those were delcisiius as well. The menus is chuck full of Homestyle cooking. They have fried chicken, brekky all day and an onslaught of Burgers and Sandwiches. Let me start by saying that Bob Evans has been a favorite place to go out for my family for years. Not today. My mom and I stopped at Cambridge restaurant to get Thanksgiving meal together on the day before Thanksgiving. They were not busy,one person after 5 minutes of not being greeted by anyone, finally said, I'll be with you after my phone call. At the same time I counted 5 employees standing together talking and laughing. Not working at all. Wow, what a great work ethic. We finally got seated after 5 more minutes and given menus. We ordered our meals and given rolls, but no silverware. My mom went to the employee group who were still having a good old time to ask for our silverware. They gave it to her. We sat waiting for our orders and finally got the. The turkey and ham were both dried out like it had been in a warmer for hours. The rest of our meals were tasteless and mostly cold. Needless this was my worst meal from any restaurant in years. Sorry to say we won't be back any time soon. read more

We travel this way at least 4-5times a year and have always had great meals until tonight. We arrived around 7:30 and my husband ordered his usual ....chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. His food was very good. I ordered the chicken pot pie. I have had Bob Evans delicious pot pies many times and this was the WORST. Burnt, hardly any filling at all. Maybe 3 very small pieces of chicken and 1 slice carrot and a few mushy peas. The waitress was very nice .....apologized numerous times offered me a different meal and took this disgusting entry off our bill. I am sorry but that dish should have never left the kitchen. So very disappointed after a long day of traveling to end my day with an awful meal. We will be trying other restaurants in the Cambridge area in the future. read more

Horrible. Four tables sat after us, ate and left before we even got our food. We were only a party of 4 so it wasn't like we had a huge order. When we finally got our food, order was wrong. Server was horrible. Never checked, or apologized for the wait. I asked for a fork and never got it. After several minutes I just got up and grabbed one from the hostess stand. When the server did come back to the table, it was with the bill and never brought the fork. Took forever to get our food, order was wrong and food was bad. Stay away. read more

We love most on Evans restaurants but the one in Cambridge is the worst restaurant I have ever dined at.This is the third time in the past 6 months that we have had the worst experience in a restaurant First two time but tonight was the last straw.Three of us went there tonight and food wast stale cold hard rolls and very inefficient waitress.We ordered our food the waitress brought the food but no silver ware .I had to go get it he silverware and then I had to go ask for dinner rolls.My granddaughters hamburger was hard as a rock and ice cold,I ordered the turkey and dressing dinner I was like ice so they took it back and put it in the microwave and dried it it was so hard on the edges and mashed potatoes were awful .Needless to say we didn't eat our food .We waited for quite awhile but no check.We finally went to pay and it was $48.00 We paid the bill and left but this was our last trip there.I plan on calling the manager on Monday and letting them know the kind of service. But we will never go to that restaurant again very disgusting service and waitress was so rude. read more

Horrible service. Was seated and order was taken and we thought it would be okay. Waitress served one of us a warm cup of coffee and said she had a fresh pot brewing. She never came back to fill up the coffee again. It took forever to get our food. Not only did it take forever but our food was nearly cold Luke warm at best when it did come out. The eggs were barely edible, dried out and over cooked. No rolls or biscuits came and one of our orders was biscuits and gravy so that is bad. We asked for the missing items and refills and the waitress never came back. We had eaten most of our meals and finally had to ask another waitress to help us. She got us our refills. Our original waitress came back to give the check but never apologized for anything. We were traveling home with 2 1/2 more hours to get home. The extra time it took to get our food added at least 30 extra unplanned minutes to our trip. If your traveling, I do NOT recommend you stop here. read more
