And, as I was checking in, the hotel desk clerk recommended to me. I ordered the steak salad. It was so good & so unusual. Fresh spring mixed lettuce, cucumber, lots of cheese, a healthy portion of steak, mandarin oranges and, to top it off, nice, big onion rings. The service was good as well. This seems to be a local favorite; lots of groups and families, and some people who were also waiting were talking about how everything they get is good. Definitely worth a stop!

On this visit, I saw prime rib on the menu. I looked around a little more, but then decided to go with prime rib. In a reasonable amount of time, the food was delivered. My prime rib was tasty. It was a little thin, but still tasty. My veggies weren't all that great. My mom said her chicken parm was just okay. Overall, the food is about average.

I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Papa Johns tried to make things right and I commend…read morethem for that. First, in the past year, I decided to eat a lot less pizza and splurge on a really good pizza maybe once every 4-6 weeks. The pizza from Papa Johns today was like I remembered from the past. I ordered a small order of wings (6) and had them mix their fiery hot sauce and roasted garlic to make a garlic hot... Which they did with no problem. I also ordered a medium voodoo pizza, a.k.a." the dumpster". The wings were comically large. I have never seen bigger chicken wings, not whole wings... just monstrous half wings... What would normally be the small kind... But these wings looked like someone went to the poultry Super Bowl and dismembered the winning teams entire offensive line. These wings were literally the size of my fist. And they were super nicely cooked and delicious. I'll include a picture, but my picture won't do them justice. The voodoo pizza was fantastic. It was a little bit on the sweet side, which is not normally my thing... But they nailed it. It's got a mix of a bunch of toppings I won't try to describe, including a drizzle of some kind of a Sweet barbecue sauce on the top... Which again would not normally be my thing at all... But this was fantastic. The young dude working at the counter was exceptionally nice and pleasant even though I rolled in at 10:30 at night. The decor was kind of old style pizza pub-ish, which was just my style. The place is just two or three minutes off the highway, and it was a fantastic stop to have made. I actually got off the exit for a place called Tommy's, which claimed to be open but unfortunately was not... I rechecked yelp, found this place that was open, and it was a great find. I highly recommend coming here if you live in the area or if you happen to be passing by on the highway. Easy five star.

I walked in and the place was just loud, I am not sure I have been to a concert that was this loud. But this is a bar and I don't frequent bars, so I get to the bar and look over the alcohol and didn't see "Makers Mark" which is what I wanted. So I ask and sure enough they had a bottle tucked away for a class reunion, which they brought back for me. I ended up ordering three glasses to try and get rid of my pending headache from the music. The bartender was very nice and took great care of me and the other people at the bar. After my three drinks I walked back to my room to attempt to sleep. I will say the place was very clean and worth the visit. I am just not a huge fan of the loud music.
