I have been to this Bob Evens for the past 3 Sundays and i am hooked on their chef salad. It is heath and the service staff been freindly. I have had 3 different servers and it been great. I recomand this bob evens to anyone that wants a great salad. read more

Terrible experience , first we walk in and there's no host or hostess a waitress takes us to a random table another waitress with attitude waited 35 minutes and still no food ! No one apologized no one asked so we just asked to pay for our drinks and coffee and left ! Never go back there again read more

I've eaten here several times and each time I never know what kind of service I'll get ... mostly it's bad. The managers here simply can't get the kitchen adequately staffed. Tonight was the last time that I'll eat here. It took over 35 minutes to get a plate of chicken and mashed potatoes to my table. One table of a mom and 2 children had to leave because their food wasn't ready. No sign of the manager who should have been in the dining room offering apologies and price reductions for the slooow service. Terrible! read more

My mom, daughter, and I visited this Bob Evans yesterday for lunch. I have been to many Bob Evans restaurants and this was the worst by far. We were there around 1 p.m. and the place wasn't crowded. We were quickly seated but then waited for quite some time before a manager came to get our drink orders. Our waitress acted as if she could care less about us through the duration of our visit. We ordered the soup and 1/2 sandwhich lunch special and my daughter chose breakfast from the kids menu. We waited for what seemed like forever and then the waitress brought our soup. At that point I expected that the rest of our food would be out shortly. Boy was I wrong! We were finished with our soup and playing the waiting game again. When the remainder of our food came the visit got worse. My daughter was supposed to get home fries as part of her meal. What came on her plate more closely resembled black rocks. I only wish I hadn't left my phone in the car or there would be a picture. I suppose that our wait time =blackened potatoes? :/ As I said, this certainly wasn't my first experience at a Bob Evans. It will be, however, my FIRST and LAST visit at the one in Canal Winchester. read more

The slowest restaurant I have ever been in. 45 mins for eggs. Don't have plans when you go here. Day ruined.

We've been here for an hour and haven't been served yet! We're just sitting down our drinks haven't been filled and there are multiple tables open. A manager hasn't even been out to see how we are doing. Our waitress hasn't even been around for about 15 minutes. I have never been to a Bob Evans that is so unorganized! And unprepared in my life! Everything is dirty tables weren't cleaned and our food hasn't arrived. We've been waiting over an hour for our food! They need new management or better servers!!!!!!! This is pathetic! read more

Went here for the first time since moving to canal and found the whole experience terrible. This is my first yelp review if that tells you anything. They weren't busy, our waiter was lazy, our waiter went on break while we were eating so we were left without wait staff. We also were served cold food... terrible. Won't be back. read more

Bob Evans is (was) my wife and I's favorite family style restaurant. We visit this location 2 or 3 times a week. After sending letters to their corporate office, speaking with area managers and local managers, things still need a mess. I took my wife, daughter and 2 grandchildren there today. It was around 4:30 this afternoon. The restaurant was practically empty. We ordered two children's meals, and salads. The waitress took our order at 4:50, at 5:15 we were just getting our food. There is no way our order should take over 7 or 8 minutes, especially with the restaurant was not busy. Until this unit can learn how to run efficiently, we will not be back. read more

I love this place. Great food and great service. I came in for Sunday breakfast and was greeted by a nice blond young man. Our server was nice and friendly. Our food came out as ordered and Tastey. A large group came in and out waitress had to bounce between us and them. The blond greeter jumped into help since we were close to the door to refresh our coffee. Great team work. read more

We've been coming to this Bob Evans for 5 years and up until about 6 months ago had great service. For the last 6 months the service and wait time have gotten horrible. We tried again today, got there @ 2:00 there were several couples/families waiting for tables. The host seemed like he didn't have a clue what he was doing, there was a whole section of tables open and no one was being seated. The manager was standing behind the register with his hands on his hips, no acknowledgement of the busy waiting area. Once we finally got seated it took forever for our server to bring our waters. We both ordered the savor size chicken, apple, spinach salad, this also took forever to get. Once we were finished eating the server had disappeared and never came back with our bill. Finally we went up to the register and the server came up to give our bill. Overall we waited 45 min to get seated & then it took 1/2 hour to get our salads. read more

Terrible service. Surprised that we did not have to wait for a table for our large party on a Saturday morning. But once we realized how slow the service was we came to the conclusion that it must be because everyone must already know this location is awful and went some place else for breakfast. Our server took 40 minutes to put our food order in and came back to ask questions four times. And yet, our order was still wrong and our food was cold. Some people in our party had to ask to get their beverages twice during this time period because she forgot them. She never once apologized for the long wait, or the missing items on our check and we were even more surprised that a manager never came by to talk to us. read more

This place does not even deserve one star. I wait 68 minutes for three quarts of chicken noodle soup and asked about 30 mins in and was told it was coming up. Finally I asked again and come to find out the soup was kept in the back and no one would go back and get it so that's why I waited so long until finally complained. Planning on calling corporate tomorrow and this is not my first problem with this location. read more

Giving two stars is generous! This is normally a highlight of going to the Dr's in Columbus, we always stop at this Bob Evans on our way home. Unfortunately this trip was the worst service we EVER received! First when we were seated the table was soaking wet, and I had to wheel through someone else's food on the floor to sit at the table. We were not given menus which was fine until the waitress had no clue what I was ordering. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and another 25 to get our food. When we did get it my husbands biscuits were cold. I went to the restroom and while I was gone the host came over and put the chair back(I'm in a wheelchair) so my husband said well I guess we're done then and went and paid the bill. We have never had such bad service and the dining room has never been as dirty as it was yesterday. We almost walked out as soon as we were seated! I don't know if we'll ever be back. read more

Horrible service!!! Went in with my family this morning for a late breakfast, after sitting at our table for 20 minutes a waitress came and took our drink order, but informed us she was not our waitress, just helping out. When the drinks were brought out my husbands order was wrong, when she returned with the correct order it was a dirty cup full of carbonation. After waiting ten minutes we had to flag her down to get a replacement and was treated to a clean glass of carbonation and obvious frustration. Another 15 minutes went by and then the host brought our food out, again the waitress was too busy. My husband asked if he could please replace it with another soda and the gentleman quickly brought him a drink in a clean glass. The biscuits were cold and had melted butter poured over them to insinuate that they were oven fresh and the eggs were greasy and far from fluffy. The manager came over and asked how our experience had been and my husband calmly explained all of the issues and she said she would speak with our server and refilled our drinks. The check with his drink comped was brought out, again waitress didn't bother. Our table received no more service, all drinks were empty and no waitress asking if we needed anything else. This is the first time in my 30 years I haven't tipped at a resteraunt. I have frequented this location for years and lately the service has continually deteriorated. Taking my daughter to the restroom was it's own terrible experience as we had to puddle jump unidentified liquids near the toilets in both stalls. Very disappointed! read more

Sat at the counter on Saturday and the waitstaff was great. The disappointing thing was the sausage (which, Bob Evans makes). I was expecting fat, juicy sausages (2 or at most 3) but what I got was skinny, small, burnt a bit, flavorless meat. In addition, the brioche french toast has cinnamon which the menu doesn't tell you and I'm not a fan of that. Finally, the food was warm at best. I don't know why because the waitress picked it up as soon as it came up I think. Last time I'll eat here as there are other options, at least in Columbus, if not in Canal Winchester. read more

Bob Evans in general is fine. I'm sure there is a regular crowd who likes to eat here. I'm not one of them (yet :)), but yesterday I wanted to treat my aunt, who is sick, to a comforting carryout lunch from Bob Evans. I've never experienced such a carryout cluster-fudge before. There were half a dozen people all hovered around the same counter either picking up food or paying for their dine-in meals. No one knew who was in line for what, or if they even were in a line. I literally asked each person in line if they were in the line to pick up carryout and everyone shrugged. The person taking payments for food was also on the phone taking carryout orders while all of our carryout food got cold on the counter. If you're calling in ahead, it should be a quick and easy process. Bob Evans seems to have had more than enough time to figure out processes for this. I'm sure it can't be this bad at all the locations. Hence, further backing up my theory that Canal Winchester restaurants, save a few good ones like Shades, are allergic to money. To top it off, my aunt's 1/2 of a ham and cheese sandwich had a half slice of bread for the bottom and a quarter of a slice on top, so all of the innards of her sandwich were exposed. How does that happen? Didn't you just make a whole sandwich and cut it in half? How would the top slice be half the size of the bottom slice? How is that acceptable? Did you look at the sandwich before you wrapped it up or did you just say "eff it"? I just can't... read more

Anyone who has been to Bob Evans more than once knows that it's a low quality experience with not much satisfaction. So, if you factor that in, this was a pretty average experience for Bob Evans. Granted, it was busy the last time that we went, but only because they weren't utilizing all of their tables. News Flash: it's a service industry. Servers should be expected to handle more than two tables at once, and if they can't, give them some kind of technology to do so. We went in here for breakfast, and we just weren't impressed at all. We ordered hot chocolates with our meals and my wife specifically requested no whip cream (she hates it), and what do they give her? Whipped cream. The next few mugs, they didn't even fill all the way, including mine, which I did get whipped cream in. Everything was flavorless, and don't even get me started about their sausage gravy! That has got to be one of the worst tasting items on the planet! Then, when we do get past our cold food, slow service, and poor quality, and make our way to the counter to pay, we find a manager who not only wasn't dressed professionally (button up, and wear a tank top under your sheer work shirt), but then instructs us that we have to run the debit card as a credit and press some weird combo of buttons to do so. Mind you, this is posted nowhere, and she seemed annoyed having to tell us this. We're definitely not going to be in a rush to come back here! read more
