That's Scramblers Hilliard. A friend put me on--and even hosted her baby shower there. Imagine a cross between Denny's and First Watch, with an added bonus: a back space event area you can snag for free (since they don't do reservations). Translation--get there early, chicas. For the meal, I skipped the all-you-can-eat griddle (tempting... maybe next time ). The Surf's Up ($12.99) went to the beau: tender, sustainably sourced shrimp sautéed and folded into hand-cracked scrambled eggs with cream cheese and dill. Served with hollandaise, bread, and your choice of a Scramblers side--it was a crowd-pleaser with a little doctoring up when we got home. I went with the Big Country ($13.79)--a layering of giant flaky biscuits, golden hash browns, two eggs, and sausage gravy. Except, I forgot the sausage gravy part might include, well... sausage. I picked it out, but even then, the dish landed kind of flat. Heavy on portions, light on flavor. I had to break out the ketchup, and honestly, it still needed heat. I get it--the flavor runway is probably tailored to their audience dun dun dun..., but still. What made the morning sparkle wasn't the food but the reason: celebrating love and longevity with Kenya G. and her soon-to-arrive little Elite-in-training. 15+ years together? Went here after a disappointing visit up the road at Bob Evan's. It was a night and day difference. The place was well lit, neatly decorated, and everyone was friendly and had a sense of urgency that is not incredibly common lately. The food was good, and the servings were a good value for the price. The pancakes are some of the biggest I've seen. If you want brunch and don't want to deal with the 'vibe' at other brunch restaurants, this place is worth a visit. The one across town isn't bad, either. read more

The food here reminds me of a diner. It's good, but there isn't anything that would make it significantly different from other breakfast restaurants other than unique menu items. Service is top notch, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is clean if not generic, but I typically am not concerned with that unless it's terribly dirty or something. Food comes out really quick. The only disappointment was that the stuffed French toast wasn't really "stuffed." It was more like a spread. Other than that, it was a good value. read more

Stopped here for brunch on Saturday with my 3 boys. Arrived around 10:55 AM and was sitted in a couple minutes. The busser took our drinks order. 3 hot chocolates for the boys and a water for me. He drops off the water and goes back to the front. We sat there for 15 minutes and our server never showed. A table that came behind us ordered and received their food before a server even showed up at our table. Hot chocolate never came. We got up and left. Told the busser our server never showed. The food was not good. I know it's a chain restaurant so I didn't have high expectations but I at least had some expectations. Ordered the Traditional Benny (eggs Benedict). Server asked me if poached eggs were okay. Yes, thank you. I knew as soon as she sat our meals down that the eggs were undercooked by the way they were wobbling under the gummy and broken hollandaise. Cut into the eggs and the way the yolks spilled out along with runny whites was not pretty. I tried one bite even though I didn't want to. No way was I going to continue to eat it. So I pushed it aside and ate my side of grits. My daughter's meal was just fine. Nothing exciting. When the server came back I let her know about my meal. I didn't want anything else. When she brought the bill she reminded me that the eggs were poached. I'm sure it was a message from the kitchen. Look, if a customer says it's not cooked enough, take it and go on your way. I tipped her as much as I would have before my meal was taken off my bill. I don't blame the server but I do blame the cook for telling her to tell me I was wrong. I know how to poach an egg. Food Service Seemed low staffed when I first had lunch with my daughter & father in law. Waited a while to be seated as well as it took time for us to order and actually be served. Regardless the food was great from the French toast, to the omelet and fresh fruit. Seemed like the supervisor or manager was our server. He interacted with my daughter and would pick up every crayon she would drop. He was nice and was staying busy. read more

Can never go wrong with Scramblers! While visiting family I was excited to come back to a favorite when I lived in the area. I'm pleased to report the food was just as good, if not better, than before! We arrived for brunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We were immediately greeted, seated and able to order. I chose the Zesty Smokehouse sandwich and coffee. Our food was brought out so quickly we thought that they were delivering to the wrong table. The food is really very good. I have had breakfast here several times, and the service is always good as well. I like that they offer a spinach quinoa bowl, topped with a fried egg. Healthy and enjoyable. On my last visit, I had the veggie omelet (large), with perfect hash browns, and thick slices of rye toast. I love the carafe of water and pot of coffee left on the table so you don't have to wait for refills. They offer a large menu for both breakfast, brunch and lunch. They dining room is pretty spacious, and they also have patio seating. It's clean, and the staff is masked, with closed/distanced tables. read more

Service did not improve. It was cleanish. Food was ok... it was breakfast. Maybe there were too many servers because they kept hanging out in the kitchen. It's fine. Not great!!!! What's better after a fasted physical 10am in the morning than the ultimate omelette, home fries, and toast from Scramblers? What is worse for a low sodium diet than the ultimate omelette, home fries, and toast from Scramblers? Decisions, decisions. What did I order? The ultimate omelette, home fries, and toast of course. The ultimate is one of the best omelets of Columbus chain breakfast. Made skillfully in a tight folded blanket of non-pasteurized eggs this skillet concocted item cuts into nice size bites by fork with zero runniness. The works, everything and the kitchen sink, and the kitchen it sat in: savory sausage, flavorful ham, tasty bacon, fresh bell peppers, zesty zucchini, onions, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, a combo cheese shot of Monterey Jack and Cheddar topped with sour cream. Add a side f home fries and sour dough toast with the world's most needed coffee ( for me that day since I was coming off the physical) and it was like a great dream of breakfast. The only downside, (for me on a restricted due to Menieres outbreak) is the salt content. 2048 mg of sodium is 48mg more than the two grams I'm limited for an entire day. Whoops. Oh well, what is rules for if you don't break them? Everything else about this shop met my expectation. Standard Scramblers mainstream fare, great service, nice place. They could se a bar in the place for single customers; I felt kinda weird sitting in a table solo. Also the door into the kitchen lack an eye for naturalness and connectivity. But I am nitpicking. Going to give four stars but it could easily be five in the mainstream breakfast chain category. read more

This food is not good. They seem to over compensate flavor with cheese. Every cheese dish is EXTREMELY cheesy and to top it off, the cheese isn't that tasty. The service is decent but the food is greasy and flavorless. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Brunch with family on Sunday morning around 10am. Location was not that busy and we were seated immediately. We were a party of 4 adults and one child requiring a high chair. Seated at table for 4 and high chair was placed at end of table in isle. First impression was that tables are EXTREMELY small and offer little room for comfort let alone plates, coffee decanter, drinks, water, etc. Very cramped and uncomfortable. Service was quick though and almost seemed rushed and a bit pressured. Once ordered, food arrived quickly. Ordered omlet which is made standard with 4 eggs so it can easily be split. Came with side (we chose hash browns) and choice of toast. Omlet was quite overcooked and light on fillings overall. Portion of hash browns was skimpy. Sourdough toast was good and came pre-buttered with plenty of it. Location is in retail strip with major grocery as anchor. Easy access from major roads and freeway. Atmosphere is a bit cramped but perfect for kids as noise level is adequate for them to be kids. Pricing for party of 4 plus kids menu was around $45 not including tip which is slightly high considering portions in my opinion. Overall good experience. Would go again, but favor others as FIRST choice based on experience. Would, however, recommend as option. read more

Went here for the first time today. Was disappointed that they do not cater to dietary needs the way that most restaurants do. I cannot eat bread, nor sugar due to a medical condition, so I had kindly asked if I could substitute my sides/bread for a small side of breakfast meat. They would not let me substitute my bread and side for two sausage links like most breakfast places do. I was willing to pay an up charge for the exchange but then the waitress told me that it would be an additional $5, and I had to order 4 links. So instead, I paid $11 for just an omelet. For this, I was going to leave a 3 star review, because I do think they should be able to cater to dietary needs better. Well, that quickly went to a 1 star when my boyfriend and I were chatting and he found a hair in his pancake. Don't go here if you have any dietary needs or don't want hair in your food! read more

I had the crab benny with hash browns, better than I would have expected and was very happy with how it turned out. The crab wasn't anything spectacular but It was very good and I didn't expect such flavor from a cheaper breakfast. Overall great place for a nice speedy breakfast that won't cost much and is better than home. Would return at any point. read more

Went here for breakfast/brunch last Sunday. We were seated as soon as we got there & everything came out really fast. The menu is huge so I suggest looking online so you have an idea of what you want before you go in. I ordered the "spicy" breakfast burrito, I was slightly disappointed with the description of the item because there were no spicy elements in my burrito. So don't be scared of that one if you don't like spice because it's very mild. It was very good once I added hot sauce to my desired taste level. I'll definitely come back. read more

One of my wife's and I's favorite places to have breakfast. It's a nice little cozy place with really good service and the breakfast menu is huge . Have had breakfast here a few times now it as been delicious every time! They have several omelettes, skillets, breakfast sandwiches, a huge breakfast burrito which is probably my favorite. Or can go with just ordering some eggs and bacon and toast type breakfast. Lots of option. They also give you the whole craft of coffee if you order coffee! It's a great breakfast spot! read more

My wife and I come here pretty frequently (2-3 times per month) and have no complaints about the food. I usually order something different (sub different cheese, no sour cream, etc) and 98% of the time it comes out exactly as I ordered! However, the service needs to be improved quite a bit. Trying to flag down anyone to bring silverware, a coffee refill, ketchup, or whatever, is way too difficult. If some changes were made to make sure people had these basics at the time they put in their orders, for example, some of this frustration would be solved. We like the feel of this place a little better than first watch or bob evans, both right down the road, but please improve the service!!! read more

Phenomenal spot for brunch. This place really stays true to the notion of "fresh." I've eaten here a few times, but today really solidified my opinion. I ordered their bottomless french toast with an English muffin and hash browns. They give you generous portions for your dollar; while it's a bit expensive, it is absolutely value for you buy. Come here if you are looking for a cheaper traditional American breakfast. The food was alright but nothing absolutely great. Things that I was a little weary on were that the lemon water they served had black foreign pieces in it, sausage links are very strange looking and not appetizing, and omelets fillings are not chopped very well so it is very hard to actually eating one without making a mess. I would probably come back and order the mexican skillet that I had but would not recommend alot of other things on the menu. read more

Came here for brunch/lunch with the Boyfriend. Boyfriend is crazy obsessed with this place and it's really weird. He loves the Wisconsin Scrambler, which he gets every time. I got the Jump Start Breakfast Sandwich, and it was just aight. He said today that his hash browns were pretty oily. It felt like our food took like a half hour to cook. What a service disaster on a Sunday. We were a 5-top, no kids, and well acquainted with the menu. Waited 15 minutes to be seated--no issues there. However, a convergence of events caused every person in our party to decide we were not going to return to this location (one couple is local, three out of towners who visit said couple frequently). The table next to us, served by Paige, was 12-15 and needed to be split into multiple tables. Clearly the allocation of resources needed to manage their orders was such that the kitchen seemed unable to prioritize the smaller orders that could have been perhaps expedited. There needs to be better training in place to handle large groups. The kitchen could not manage the influx. Our table was handled by Jamie, who is out of her depth on customer service. We waited 25 minutes from the time we ordered until we got served. Jamie did not refill the water pitchers, any of the other drinks, or check back to explain the delay. We suspect she either failed to put our order in at all or was in the backlog caused by the above large table. Either way, she had no sense of urgency to manage the situation appropriately. When our food started arriving, the pace of delivery was punctuated by large gaps where she would disappear into the kitchen and emerge not sure who ordered what and we had to figure it out ourselves. She split the check incorrectly, did not seem to have any sense of how to fix it, and showed no sensitivity to our increasingly irritated mood. The piece de resistance was when we were waiting on Jamie to bring a take home box. She stood at the server station kibbutzing with other servers until I went past on my way to the ladies room and told her that we were on a schedule (after having been there 90 minutes) and to please attend to the table. When my friend went past a few moments later, also to the ladies room, she heard this from the server station where Jamie and her peers were standing talking: "Who did that bitch think she was?" Needless to stay, we tipped appropriately for what we got, left, and will not return. Note nothing in this review is about food. It was all about the experience, which lacked in every category. Either hire adults who take customer service seriously or do a better job in hiring and training. read more

We met up with family for Easter Sunday brunch here. It was a little tough to get to, for us old-timers who don't get over to Hilliard all that often (next to the Giant Eagle near 270 and Cemetery Road), but it is on a corner with plenty of parking. They easily accommodated a party of ten all arriving at various times. Our server was friendly and no one was left waiting - amazing service with a large and mobile party. Having said that, the food here is only so-so (Scramblers generally). They do tout using fresh eggs for all their dishes, so it's nice to have an omelet. Coffee is good, though, and they have a variety of sides. Everyone got their orders on time, exactly as ordered. Kudos to our wait staff! We were able to sit until our last arrival finished her breakfast, and since there was no one waiting to be seated, we were not rushed out. We will likely continue to come here, as it is a mid-way meeting spot for our family, and because of the service, we will be happy to do so. read more

After we sat down, drinks were prompt and refills fine... But I think the waiter forgot to put our order in because we sat there for 50 minutes before someone else brought our food out.
