Impressive experience here. Our group grew from 8 to 17 people mid-morning, and the staff handled the shift effortlessly. No stress, just great service. Food-wise, everything hit the mark. The pumpkin carrot pancakes were excellent, and the breakfast tacos were fresh and filling. Even the "basic" stuff like oatmeal was high quality. Don't sleep on the blueberry muffin either--it was surprisingly one of the best things on the table. We had a large party with multiple children. We were sat at a high- top. Which isn't ideal for children but given our groups size of 11; very understandable. I visited the First Watch in Murrysville for the first time yesterday with my daughter and was blown away by both the food and the service. Everything was delicious (I had the Tri-Fecta with pancakes and bacon with the eggs scrambled with cheese). I did not think I would like multigrain pancakes, but my daughter recommended them, and they were the best pancakes that I've had in quite a while. I ordered my beacon crisp and it was very flavor (Smokey) and crisp, but not dried out! In addition, even the coffee was outstanding (and I am very particular about my coffee). Our server was Brittany and she was very polite, checked on us often but not too often, and even took a picture of my daughter and me when we asked if she could. We always talk about going to First Watch and finally did it! Amazing breakfast! This place is quite small, a bit loud and packed! We went at 11:15 and waited about 30 min for a table. I advise you to go online a join the waitlist. I got the purple haze drink and my husband got spiked lemonade. Yum! We tried the Belgium waffle and ham and cheese omelette. So good! The waffle was so light and delicious. His omelette was huge and stuffed with fantastic ham and cheese. You have to try the bacon and potatoes. The side of potatoes is definitely enough for two people. Our waitress was so nice and very attentive considering how busy it was today, she kept checking on us. Well...until one day last week, this Murrysville location would've gotten a easy 4 rating, but one of the best aspects of the food was the regular side of bacon. The quality was always high quality, meaty,, thick cut, just great bacon. Well last week we went there and I asked for a side of bacon (crispy). When it came out it was 80% fat, just gross. Everything is fairly priced, fresh, and did i mention delicious? I had reservations for 9:30 on a Saturday morning and I'm SO GLAD I had reservations because this place was packed. The wait time for a table without a reservation was pushing 45-50 minutes. Make a reservation and save yourself the hassle of waiting for a table. The service here was really great. I applied to First Watch - Murrysville with the hopes to become a part of their team as a waitress. I had a friend work there previously and mention how hours, money, and co-workers were great- so I was expecting a positive interaction. What I got was the exact opposite. I received an email to set up an interview, fine. When I arrived, everyone was pleasant- except the hiring manager. She approached our interview and didn't even extend her hand back for a handshake- not a great first impression as an employer. We went through the whole interview and by the end, I felt belittled and degraded as a person coming in with past food/management experience as well as a college degree. She was rude, condescending, and all around unapproachable and seems like a miserable person to work for. She concluded our time by saying she would reach out to me via email to let me know about the position (no matter the outcome) once she finished her other interviews for the day- understandable. I walked out knowing I didn't get the job- that's how rude she was. Or if I did, I was going to decline because she seemed like the exact kind of person you didn't want to work for. With no surprise based on this interaction, I never received any updates regarding my position- so she ultimately lied and never followed up with me. As someone who said in my interview I was looking for a new full-time job, you would think she may have some compassion at the least to let applicants know when they don't get it, so they can at least take their efforts elsewhere. Unfortunately for me, her, and this company- she didn't do that. So here I am writing a nasty review that I don't feel bad about at all. Bottom of the line - before applying, I had never eaten there. After applying, I will continue not to eat there and tell others to do the same. The environment and staff are cold, rude, and simply don't deserve any more of my time or money. Breakfast here was my daughter's choice and "spoiler alert" it's a big chain and it's gonna get a 5 star from this guy. I have no idea how I've missed this restaurant but I'm a fan! The first location was opened in Pacific Grove, California in 1983 by Ken Pendery and John Sullivan. The co-owners founded it after leaving the Le Peep breakfast chain in Colorado. In 1986, they moved their headquarters to Bradenton, FL. There's more than 430 First Watch restaurants in 28 states with 99 in FL,and they're growing fast. They specialize in being really good at breakfast, rather than being mediocre at all the meals of the day. They're only open for breakfast, lunch and brunch and the doors close at 2:30pm, period. BTW their name "first watch" aboard a ship starts a new day of work for the crew, makes sense. Anyway I'm liking this business model because the philosophy simply works. None of their locations have any deep fat fryers or heat lamps in its kitchens, and have an expansive menu that caters to almost anyone's taste. That includes those with food allergies, dietary restrictions, or special diets with good vegan and vegetarian options. They go above and beyond by listing every single ingredient for each menu item online so that diners can review their options ahead of time. I'm impressed with their use of cage-free eggs, and whole-grain breads and their in-house juices are hand squeezed and they make drinks with them that are spot on. Now, let's talk about our food here. The Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos, were excellent and the the Bacado Omelet was outstanding as well. The homefries are made with onions and fried nicely, and that's my jam. Don't pas up the opportunity to indulge in the Million Dollar Bacon (baked with brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and black pepper and topped with maple syrup) it is decadent, yum. They're famous for their French toast, on their exclusively made bread but maybe next time. I'm gonna run out if space but I could go on about his good the food is, and what I like about this place but it's obviously I like it!
