Beyond horrible! I usually only take the time to write reviews when an experience is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately, this was the latter. I've always had fond memories of the original Atria's in Mt. Lebanon--it was a family favorite before I moved to California. My mom now lives in Canonsburg, and I visit twice a year. When I was here in January, I had an outstanding short rib special, so I was excited to return and even recommended it to a friend I was spending the day with. I ordered one of Atria's signature dishes, the slow-roasted pot roast, and it was one of the worst restaurant meals I've had in a long time. The meat was so tough I could barely cut it. It was clearly overcooked, while the carrots were so undercooked they were hard. The potatoes were fine, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. I also had a cup of wedding soup that tasted good, but it was served only lukewarm. I didn't want to complain because I was catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and I was starving after only having a yogurt that morning. I tried to eat it, but it was simply inedible. I finally sent it back and asked if I could order a Reuben instead--another signature dish I've always enjoyed--but unfortunately they were out of it. Instead, I ordered a side of green beans. Ironically, my friend's green beans came out looking charred, while mine were cooked and seasoned well. Then, when my replacement was brought out, my utensils had already been taken away, and I had to flag down another waitress just to get a fork. The whole evening just felt off. Our waitress was very sweet, and she told me the manager had comped my pot roast. Honestly, that was the least they could do--it wasn't just disappointing, it was inedible. I'm glad they removed it from the bill, but that doesn't make up for such a poor dining experience. I'm gluten free(celiac) and was excited to see they had clearly marked gluten free options. I ordered the vodka pasta and when it arrived confirmed that it was gluten free and the waiter assured me. I began to eat it and very quickly found 2 other types of pasta mixed in. Both a spaghetti and penne. We flagged the waitress down and she apologized and offered to re make it. I declined because it is clear that their staff does not have the training or knowledge to successfully cook a gluten free meal or understand the severity of this allergy. They obviously were using a shared colander or pan that was not being washed between uses. Absolutely not safe for anyone with celiac or a general allergy. Do not come here. read more

Atria's has been serving Pittsburgh for almost 100 years which is an incredible feat in itself. I have only ever been to this location in McMurray and have had decent times. The most recent time I dined here I had a lemon drop martini and the crispy chicken salad. Everything was good. My brother had the shrimp appetizer and a single crab cake. I was shocked to find that his bill for those two items and soda was over $42 before tip. A single crab cake is $26! I had a bite, crab cake was ok, but I wouldn't pay that for it again. Service is good, but this place is a little overrated and overpriced. I would stop by here again to sit at the bar and have a salad and a cocktail or if this was somewhere my friends wanted to go, but this would not be my first choice for dining in McMurray. read more

This is the first time I've visited this location of the popular chain. Atria's is currently doing retro month bringing back features from previous menus. I used to love their Hawaiian chicken and was so glad to see it on this special menu. It comes with rice and green beans and is covered in a Teriyaki sauce. It took a while to get the food by my waitress did apologize for being so late. Needless to say I really enjoyed it. Only wish they would keep it on the menu. This location is very trendy and has outdoor seating available. They have a full bar and a spacious dining room. They are located is a small mall behind Aldi's past Donaldson's crossroads. I arranged a rehearsal dinner for my grandson's wedding months ahead, and the correspondence with the event planner, Angel Weaver, was excellent. Finalizing details just days before the event was smooth. Angel was delightful to work with, and meeting her in person on the day of the event was a pleasure. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was set up, even suggesting we save money by purchasing flowers from a local market for our table decorations. She personally arranged beautiful vases and all of our balloons, which was a thoughtful touch. Although we had around 43-44 guests, I felt the room was a bit cramped for that many people. The hors d'oeuvres, including BBQ bacon-wrapped shrimp, sausage and peppers, and pretzels with beer cheese drizzle, were delicious, but there weren't enough to go around. It would have been helpful to know we could order more. it was also placed right next to the Bridal table which was really cramped and not a good idea. The buffet-style entrees were tasty, particularly the maple bourbon pot roast, though the room's tight quarters made navigating the buffet a bit challenging. The salad was fresh and the dressings were all delicious. We appreciated being able to add items to our individual drink orders at the cash bar. The fried zucchini was a hit, especially with my granddaughter and the groom, and the salad with various dressing options was lovely. The chicken Picatta was pretty tasty too. While most guests seemed to enjoy the food, I found the penne vodka underwhelming and it was an additional $150 add on. My main gripe was with the service. The servers didn't offer guests iced tea, soda, water, or coffee; (included in the price) they simply pushed drinks, which was disappointing. Additionally, despite my efforts to have "One More Day" dessert picks placed on the special dessert tray, it took several reminders, and the servers seemed annoyed by the request. Horrible experience tonight. The crab cake sandwich was so tiny, it was $19 and I left starving. We to Atria's in McMurray tonight. The restaurant was not crowded, nice atmosphere. Ordered the Grilled Salmon and the Crusted Cod dinners. Both portions were very small! The Salmon came with 5 small, I mean small pieces of Asparagus! Tasted good, but the Salmon with asparagus was a rip off. Could have eaten 3 portions to make a meal. Tonight I had the Bourbon Maple Glazed Pot Roast, Braised Overnight, Bourbon Maple Glazed, Smashed Redskins, Vegetable Gravy. Pot Roast was fork tender, gravy had so much flavor, absolutely delicious! Mashed potatoes were dynamite. Finished off with an absolutely decadent piece of chocolate cake, a great meal was had. Came in at the beginning of lunch. Not too crowded. I think I beat the rush by about 10 minutes or so. Very nice atmosphere and was not too cold or hot inside. Ordered a small chopped salad and the "award winning" cheddar burger with slaw. The salad came quickly and was very tasty with a lot of vegetables and portion size was hefty. The cole slaw portion that came with the burger was very small, only around 4 ounces but it tasted very good. The burger was large, probably 8 ounces of meat which I really appreciate when ordering them, and was cooked medium as requested. Perfectly pink in the middle. came with lettuce and slice tomato. It could have been seasoned more, it was quite bland so I added some salt, and it was also not very juicy. I ordered it with mayo and ketchup and couldn't taste either. I feel that more was needed to properly round out the taste. As far as cheeseburgers go, it was fairly average to below average. It filled me up but I would not order it in the future. read more

Ordered delivery (dd) and the portions have shrunk to ridiculously tiny sizes. Two bowls of crab bisque were half-full small containers that looked to be more like a cup than a bowl. We eat at Atrea's often. When we eat there the food is always great! The service is sometimes slow and confused about the menu, but staffing is tough for everyone. Carry out is a different story. Carry out is ALWAYS a letdown. We really need to stop ordering carryout there. You used to be able to come in thefront and sit at the bar and enjoy a drink if your food wasn't ready. They moved forward with the absolute dumbest business idea ever by building a separate entrance. That area today was without exaggerating 100 degrees. I had to wait more than double the time they told me on the phone and they did not come out to help you even when you ring their bell. First time try on a whim. Got here on a Thursday night and the place was jamming! We were shocked, but the lady working the hostess stand said they were busy every Thursday starting at 4pm! We didn't have to wait too long though and ended up at a high top in the bar area. Appetizers were half off, $6 martinis(which were hard to pass up), $4 wine, $2 beers. We had a couple appetizers , the Pot Roast Nachos which were fabulous. Flavorful and tender pot roast scattered over a huge plate of tortilla chips, tons of cheese, tomatoes a s sour cream(jalapenos on the side). Also had the Tuna Bites app. Liked that one too. Neither could be beat for half price. My husband had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloins over potato cakes. The pork was cooked perfectly. Juicy and seasoned well. The pancakes came with a side of sour cream. Overall service was slow, but the waitstaff was attentive. Kitchen could prob use more help. We visited Atria's in McMurray for the first time August 25, 2023. We arrived around 4:00 PM. We had frequented other Atria's and the food was great. Both is ordered the chicken parmigiana on a layer of pasta with toast. We received the meal and the chicken of both meals was badly burnt as was the toast. The place was not busy but there was some kind of convention going on in the back room. We waited an awfully long time for our food. I got the crab cake with the fries. And the coast law and the fries were a soggy pathetic mess crab cake was good, but it was literally 3 bites. Kohl's law was fair. I asked for a piece of bread. And I want to pay in $7 for a few slices. Put under the broiler highly disappointed. One of the poorest meals I paid for lunch in a costs.
