Bob Evans is a casual restaurant chain that operates hundreds of restaurants in many states. The restaurants serve an all-day "farmhouse" breakfast (e.g., biscuit sandwiches and omelettes) as well as lunch and dinner foods (e.g., salads, sandwiches, chicken, and pot roast) later in the day for dine-in, carry-out, and delivery. For Thanksgiving this year, my family did not feel like spending time on cooking, so we purchased foods from this Bob Evans in North Huntington. We ordered turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, stuffing, bread rolls, and pumpkin pies. The foods were ready to pick up on time. At the dinner table at my family's house, all 18 of us ate these foods. Everyone said that they liked the flavors of the foods and that we should order from Bob Evans for future Thanksgivings! We ordered take out from there tonight. When we got home my wife bit into something that was hard in her French toast. It was a plastic lid to a condiment dish. I do not understand how you miss that. I called the manager and got a refund. I will never order from there again. Be careful when ordering takeout. read more

This is for Robert Arbuckle. Your manager for Sunday 12/29 was the most condescending person I have ever met. First off since Covid I have ordered from the app at least once a week with no issue. There are trust me adequate funds in the account to cover the bill there was a glitch and the app told me that my payment didn't go through but in checking it went through 3 times. Will (who would not provide last name) spoke to me as if I was a homeless child with someone's stolen phone. After experiencing the complete dumpster fire that is the Big Mac "Museum" the natives were restless and hungry. I suggested the Eat' n Park seeing as I had no idea what the hell an Eat' n Park was so it would be a new sensation but my idea was vetoed in lieu of the culinary delight that is Bob Evans. The scene upon entering was rather depressing. No one at the host stand, maybe six or seven occupied tables with probably as many staff members standing around doing nothing as there were people actually eating. Our server while nice, was unbelievably slow because she was watching I think all of the tables except for one while some other server looking types were doing........? Also to add a little more zest to the equation, our server also apologized to us in advance that things would take a while because the guy doing the cooking was a green horn (first day?). So we eventually order and as advertised the food took close to 45 minutes to appear which was surprisingly longer than I expected especially since everyone that I could see upon entering was already eating and half of our table ordered some derivative of breakfast. During our 45 minute wait, drink refills naturally never happened as our server was in combination both taking care of the other five tables plus taking liberal time outs to yak with the hostess plus others all hanging around the drink refill area. When the food finally comes, it's bad. Burnt grilled cheese. Mangy turkey with a giant hole pounded into the mashed potatoes for the gravy that wasn't there. Dried out and rock hard pancakes. The French toast was actually alright. Should it take 45 minutes for the above four items to get made? I don't think so and if it does, should three out of the four be worthy of getting sent back? Again, don't think so yet that's the slop that was served. At this point it was getting late so I was in no mood to fight except for when the check came when I had to go through three people to find someone capable of taking off the kids' meals since it part of a promo they were running. I guess it was good that the kids' meals were free & the strawberry lemonade was actually awesome but past that the only other positive I can come up with is that I can now remember why the two Bob Evans locations on the other side of PA more local to me closed years ago. read more

Look, Bob Evans is always clean, always. They get very high regards for this. Also, the service is almost always quite good. The quality of the food is also above average. I would go as far as saying the sausage patties are very good. My issue though is the cost. It's hard to have a few eggs, sausage and coffee for under $15. I go here about 20 Days. If they came out with a deal where you get two eggs, sausage and coffee for $4 I would come here every day of my life and they would make a mint off me. read more

First time visiting Bob Evans. Have to say I dont think Ill give ot another try. Our hostess was quick to greet and welcome us. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. We were sat at our table and before I could point out the seat covered in liquid creamer the hostess walked away. I switched the chair with another one. We sat down and as we placed our arms on the table they stuck. It was so dirty. Our waitress came to greet us. We pointed out the dirty chair we moved as well as the dirty table. She was apologetic and quickly brought a rag to clean it. The rag was just a dirty wet rag. She wiped down the other chair filled with food next to me but wiped it into the floor. We took our napkins and dried off the wet table after she left to get our coffee. The napkin was black. I mean dark dirty black. The table was still a little sticky. We placed our order. Food was okay. Lacked seasoning. Eggs we're over hard rather than over medium. Waitress had to be asked several times to refill coffee. Brought the hot sauce at the tail end of meal. The waitress was friendly but not super efficient. The lack of cleanliness was the deal breaker. When we paid at the end we proved our honest feedback. The manager was quick to come over and took care of our check. Not the best first encounter. All in all I wont give them a second try. read more

We don't really eat out that often anymore due to my health and the challenges that I am presented with in getting out somewhere where I won't get jostled about bumped into or where noise and vibrations are present all of which could easily cause a very painful and embarrassing flare up so when we do go out it is a real treat. Most months we can usually get out just once and on a really good month maybe twice. *Please see the end of this review for my disabled person accessibility assessment. The menu selection is broad enough to satisfy differing tastes and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bob Evans specializing in breakfast serves it all day with all their food being tasty, served at the proper temperature and portions adequate for the average adult. The hostesses, servers and management have always been attentive but not overly so and I would give them 4 out of 5 stars. We have never had longer than a ten-minute wait to be seated but we do typically go weeknights after 6 pm. They have free Wi-Fi which you will need to sign into their network to gain access to it. Finally, while we have never ordered dessert ourselves they do have desserts that look appetizing we just never seem to have the room to order dessert. *Disabled person accessibility assessment: Please note that I am a large man and I use one of the larger motorized wheelchairs and I drive a full size van with a wheelchair lift not a ramp and I find that the parking access for disabled persons is better than most with well-marked large parking spots and multiple van accessible spots. I just wish they would have made the front sidewalk accessible on both sides however the side with accessible parking is the only one at the same height as the parking surface. We have gone when all accessible spots were occupied and while there were regular parking spots that I could use without issue even with the lift on the opposite side of their parking lot when using these parking spots I had to keep my wheelchair in the path of traffic until reaching the opposite side of the lot where I could finally gain access to their sidewalk. The exterior as well as the interior doors were all unlocked both on the right and left hand sides with all operating effortlessly. The tables were a good height, accommodating and arranged with adequate access on at least two to three sides. Still just a little disappointed that even after going there several times now that we have yet to have a hostess or server adept enough to have already readied the table by removing a chair or chairs to allow for my ease and immediate seating. I felt bad as they fumbled about clumsily trying to figure out what to do with the chair once they removed it from the table as I and others were trying to occupy the table that they led us to. The restrooms are fully accessible with sufficient room for even those in the largest of the motorized wheelchairs and the sink, soap dispenser, towels and waste container are all within easy reach and I found everything to operate effortlessly. read more

maybe it's just me but I had a pleasant dining experience here, overall my visit was quite satisfactory. would give it four stars if they perform this well on more complicated food but our breakfast order was right in their wheel house. place was populated but emptying out around 9:30. Met a friend and her friend for breakfast, they were both seated when I arrived. Waitress came by as I sat down and returned shortly with a cup of hot fresh black coffee and glass of ice water. About fifteen minutes later she came back with CFS for me; eggs, cakes, cup o' biscuit-n-gravy for my friend; and blueberry cakes for her friend. Drink refills were timely as were polite inquiries about food and extras. Went here for breakfast the other day. Can't believe I've never been there. While what I ordered was not bad, it was painfully average. The description of the border scramble (an omelet with jalapenos, sour cream, sausage, and some other stuff sounded amazing, when it came out it just wasn't. There was water all over the plate and the whole thing just look unappetizing. While the tast was ok, I don't think I would ever go back here. This Bob Evans is hit or miss, but more often a miss. I usually get breakfast items here, especially the pancakes. Sometimes they can be fluffy and quite tasty, but more often they are rather hard and lacking in flavor, or undercooked. I visited your restaurant yesterday. I ordered a baked potato. It was not baked. It was boiled! Yuk! When I called the restaurant this morning, they told me they have never served boiled potatoes. I know a boiled potato when I taste one. The lady told me I was mistaken....I don't think so. Perhaps they ran out of baked potatoes and did not have time to bake more so they boiled them or maybe just par boiled them but it WAS boiled! I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Nothing to flashy, good breakfast food, very friendly and fast service, clean location

5/23/17 I have been a server and bartender for 5 years..and this is my first review EVER. I was so upset today at the Irwin Bob Evans location. I normally do not go out to eat..but, I was out shopping all day for vacation with my toddler, she was cranky, and we were both hungry. I stopped here a little after 8pm. They close at 9. I wanted to be in and out, especially with a toddler and it being close to her bedtime. As soon as we sit down, the waitress spilled my entire ice water onto my lap and purse. Luckily, I had shorts in my car from shopping that day. So, instead of storming out, I told the girl that I would change and be back in. I know from experience how embarrassing that is and I've done it personally in the past as a server. We continued to order and then waited for our food. The food came out and I had NO silverware. I expected a manager to at least come out and check on us to make sure everything was "okay" considering that I was drenched a few minutes ago. He/she never did. At this point it is already 9pm and they have carpet cleaners coming to do their floors. We are still trying to finish up and the cleaners just start doing the floors while we are there!? You think they would've waited for us to at least finish our food and leave? It was the worst experience EVER. Then I get our bill and it is full price. In the past years, working as a server, if anyone has ever dropped a dish/drink we have at least offered a free beverage, appetizer, or a discount AND a talk with the manager. I wasn't expecting my whole meal free, but I was upset knowing that what should have been done, wasn't done. Finally, I simply just wanted to leave. I stood at the front waiting for any sign of life from the front line or kitchen so that I could get a box for my food. I waited for at least 5 mins. I will not being going back to this location. I tipped the waitress a little only because she was polite with my daughter. She would have gotten a lot more if things would've went a lot more smoothly. They really need to work on their customer service and trying to get guests to WANT to come back. I am only giving this 1 STAR because the Banana Nut bread was amazing. read more

Two stars because the food was mediocre and the waitress was nice. Only two stars because as my hubby and I sat at the counter we watched the food pile up at the window and no one picked it up for a very long time! One set of blueberry pancakes were in that window no less than 20 minutes.....managers walked by over and over again. I even asked our waitress why no one was expediting the food...she was about 20 years old and had no idea. I am so glad that I wasn't waiting for those pancakes...the food was getting so backed up in that window that they started putting food in another window. I couldn't believe it...stacks of toast and eggs and pancakes and hamburgers all on top on another. The management staff couldn't of cared less....and they seemed annoyed that I asked about it...I bet they don't want me to sit at their counter any more! Got sick 2 out of the last three times I have been going to this restaurant for nearly 15 years. Over that time, the quality of the food and cleanliness of the restaurant have decreased while the prices have increased. Unfortunately, there are not too many other options. I had food poisoning after eating the Border Scramble omlet. Then I got it again after eating the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. Never again. read more
