The good: the rolls were soft & fluffy, wish they came with butter. The Mushroom and Onion chopped steak was average portion but taste was there, good with the roll and mash potatoes & country "white" gravy. The bad: all my sides came half empty like they ran out of food. The special Mac n cheese tasted like just dried pasta, bland, with no flavor at all. Went 2 weeks ago at about 7:30, not busy at all. Stood at the front to be seated for a few minutes. Finally was lead to a booth, 5 or so more minutes the hostess came over and said my server was in the back talking to the manager and would be out shortly. More time goes by and server finally appears. Ordered a drink and was about to order my dinner but she turned around and went to get my drink. Finally ordered food and waited..... Crispy Wildfire Chicken salad. That's all. When it came out the salad had one grossly overcooked chicken inedible chicken tender cut up on top. Salad was disgusting. Bob Evans quality has gone downhill, or maybe it's just this one. On top of that, the table of 6 women near me had problems with their food as well. I gave this Bob Evans experience a one only because there was no choice for zero. First, I ordered online and wanted to pay when I got there (not an option). Ok that's fine maybe they got pranked a few times. When I drove into the parking lot there were a total of 3 cars. I didn't even think they were open (so not busy AT ALL). They were open and I went in and stood up front at cash register. I waited for a minute I then coughed and made noises like "hey I'm out here." No one came. I had to go hunt somebody (sitting in a booth talking to another co-worker). I said "do you work here." She replied, "yeah do you want to dine in"". I said "no I want to pick-up my order. I think it's sitting up at the register." She replied, "oh is it done?" Got my order and left. I opened the "fresh" baked rolls wanting to bite into a nice warm, soft roll. Well that didn't happen not only was it cold but also hard and had a bad after taste (like rancid oil). My husband has long stopped going to Bab Evans due to the poor service and the declining quality of the food. Now I have joined him and will not go back. I had ordered their fresh berry hot cakes through DoorDash, never tried them before but the picture made them look very enticing so I was excited to try something that looked so good. A shock, but not a huge shock because I've had problems with this job evans before, I received my pancakes and there was no words for how they looked. It looked like someone got murdered over my pancakes. The picture on the left is what they're supposed to look like as well as a description of what they are. My family and I have eaten here several times and we have also ordered the to go service several times. When we are in the restaurant it seemed like we waited a long time, but when I've went in to pick up orders it's been much worse. Every time I pick up orders they are messed up. I have placed orders that were well over $100 during the holidays and they have also been messed up. They'll say my order is ready and then I'll ask them to go through the bag and nearly half the things I ordered will be missing and the things that are normally missing at main courses not just sides or rolls. Inevitably there is always something that gets missed which isn't realized until I get home and plate everything. If I don't stand there and check everything I'll get half of what I paid for and if I do stand there and wait I'll spend 30 to 45 mins in the store waiting on my supposedly already done order to get fixed. If you have somewhere else to order from, I'd order elsewhere. If you have another restaurant you can go to, I'd go elsewhere unless time does not concern you. read more

Ordered the take out Full Turkey dinner and pickup was well organized and no pushing through the crowns!! it was wonderful! Everyone looked good, cooked good and tasted Great! Turkey baked for over an hour and was so moist and delicious! All the side items were just like I made them myself! Roils we're grabbed to eat before dinner and No butter needed! Have delicious pumpkin pie for desert and then pumpkin bread to enjoy all weekend while decorating or watching football! We will be ordering this meal every year now! read more

Unless you're dying of hunger, don't stop here. After waiting for more than 30 minutes for our food to be served, we were underwhelmed with the burnt hamburgers, wilted lettuce and spoiled fruit salad, and unknown floating objects in our drinks. I have enjoyed Bob Evans in Sidney, Ohio for a few years before the COVID 19 but today was ridiculous. I looked online and placed an order for the Pot Roast Hash, eggs over easy. Also on the order was the small Wildfire Chicken Salad. When I arrived home I took out the Pot Roast Hash and this was in a container the measured 5.5 inches by 4.5 inches on the interior. This Pot Roast Hash cost almost $10.00 and the food that was enclosed could have been in a smaller container. Has the amount of food that is listed on the menu decreased in size and have the prices increased since the virus came to town? I did call and talked to a young lady named Amy, who indicated that she was the General Manager. She indicated that the amount of food that was in the container was the same amount that is served if I had eaten in the restaurant. ?????. On the Wildfire Chicken Salad it would be nice if the wilted pieces of lettuce were not included in the order. Because I have had good service in the I included a 15% tip. Not a good item. When asked if the country fried steak was battered there or frozen throw in the deep fryer crap she told us it was made there...when the food arrived it was disgusting frozen deep fryer crap that I couldn't eat. I have been disappointed by this place time and time again. I am to the point now where I will not go back. Perkins and Frische's Big Boy are much better options. Years ago BobEvans was a gem. However, these days you can tell they treat their employees poorly. You can also tell the food is no longer "home made" and is all too much made in a factory in huge batches and reheated when ordered. You can't even pretend it is homemade. Unfortunately, Bob Evans grew too big too fast, or outgrew its ability to keep offering great food as it once did. Super slow services and sticky bathroom floors. The only thing positive about this place is that you don't have to go in. When we arrived there were 2 people waiting to pick up food, a line waiting to pay & about 3 parties waiting to be seated. Finally a manager came up & quietly bitched at the wait staff to get their act together and get people seated! She had just finished getting the cashiers to turn their brains on. After we were seated, we were tended to rather quickly; drink orders & food orders taken. Two coffee ladies keeping our mugs full which was nice, but I think that maybe they could have been better placed in an area where they would be more useful. The restaurant was not full & definitely not empty. After we placed our order the waiting game began. Probably a good 20 mins later our waitress popped over to inform our 10 year old that they were out of Pot Pies. Thirty minutes later, our food finally arrived. Our food tasted good, but waiting almost an hour was a little too excessive. The coffee ladies were nice & extremely accommodating, which led me to the restrooms. Took way too long to get seated. Had three people in line waiting to be seated and SIX people waiting to cash out and only one person up front. After 10 minutes waiting hostess wanted to take name of two of the guests waiting to be seated, instead of seating them. I turned around and went to Frischs where i was seated promptly. i wish i could rate 0 stars. only because of one thing. we get there and order. all was well until about 35-40 minutes later when we finally got our food. my dad had rock hard biscuits since they let our food sit under the lamps for ages. the home fries weren't the best. i had to season them with the salt provided. my step mom had to wait probably 5 or 10 minutes for mayo and pickles for her burger. the waitress was chatting with people. not taking orders, chatting while we were waiting for my step moms mayo and pickles. luckily, someone else got it for us. in the end we left unsatisfied. but as we left we notice the flag. the flag on their flag pole is a disgrace. it's torn on the ends and barely hanging with a thread. that's what really got us upset. we completely understand shorts staffed. where i work i am short staffed as well. but it just wasn't the best experience. like i said i wouldn't be as upset as i am now if their flag wasn't torn up so much. read more

I've been to this location on a few occasions to keep trying to get a better food experience. Each time I left more disappointed than the next. This last time will be my last time at this location. I ordered French Toast with bacon and home fries. The bacon was good but can you really ruin bacon? The French toast came out and on my first bite it was soggy which was due to it being way undercooked. I had to send it back and told the server to bring me hot cakes instead. They came but they too were undercooked but not nearly as bad as the French toast. I had my wife try it and she agreed. The service has never been good for us at this location but I understand as virtually every time I have visited there are more kids serving than adults. Kids don't know what good service really is. Why this location continues to make that decision is unknown by me. The only reason I gave it two stars is that they are consistent. I won't be back but I'm sure the management is to blame, not the workers. read more
