Tony and I opted to have lunch at Bob Evans. I was craving some great mashed potatoes and gravy and knew this was about the only real choice. The food was great!! Waitress was very friendly and was at the table before we even knew we wanted her. Definitely would go back again!!!!

This was my first time at a Bob Evan's and while I don't usually review chain restaurants--since there's often a certain consistency and standard that doesn't always warrant detailed feedback--this experience was worth noting. Despite the mixed reviews I read beforehand, my experience was fantastic--the service and food were outstanding. Our waiter, Tom, was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We ordered from the breakfast page of the menu and both of our meals were indulgent and rich...which was exactly what we were craving lol. The Farmers Breakfast Platter came with juicy sausage patties, crispy hickory smoked bacon, and well-seasoned eggs. The hotcakes were incredibly moist and buttery--pure comfort food. My girlfriend had the Breakfast Burger, which came on a crispy, buttery roll with a juicy patty, thick slice of American cheese, sausage, and a side of glossy maple syrup. The restaurant itself had a cozy ambience, complete with Christmas music playing softly in the background. The best part was the entire meal, (including tip) came to around $30!! And yes, I know chains like Bob Evan's aren't exactly known for being the healthiest or most gourmet; yet still, this Bob Evan's delivered excellent service and hearty, delicious food at a great price. I'd recommend this spot for when you're in the mood for comfort food--just make sure to get your LDLs checked afterward. 5/5 stars.

Food is always great. Reasonably priced and the employees remember you from each prior visit. Download the app and receive weekly coupons for up to 20% off. Also veterans are honored every day with 10% off. Amanda and Laura and Josh are amazing!

Had the chicken fried steak with green beans, mashed potatoes and rolls. Had to wait to be seated, which has happened the last two times for supper. Prior to that I had breakfast of biscuits and gravy which took an unreasonable amount of time to be served. The food has always been good and consistent. The managerial skills needs some improvement. The ambiance remains the y.

Custom order done well.

Have your way. And it's done with perfection! Job well done! Server is very nice. Willing to to share her millions if she had. Cool!

Here is what I ordered. The lettuce had rotted pieces in it. And they didn't have anything to put on the salad but a whole onion cheese and eggs. That I had to pay extra for. The Mashed Potatoes were crunchy from setting for a long time. Overall I would say go drive a little further and find better

Lunch was amazing! We had Chicken fried steak and eggs and a turkey bacon club style sandwich. We were full clear through dinner.

Love the jar glasses. Fit the comfort food motif.

The best part of the experience here, my first, was the staff. In particular, our waitress last night was very attentive, personable, and helpful with explaining the menu. My sister loved her pot roast dinner, including the vegetables which were a little soft which she likes. My chicken pot pie was a good meal size but lacking in much flavor or color. Adding a side of green beans helped. It was hot, but bland overall. The restaurant interior is dated and while outwardly kept up, a deep cleaning is definitely needed. The walls around the plentiful seating shows deep dust in all areas and the glass partitions have hand prints in many areas that show lack of cleaning attention to detail. Overall, the experience was okay. We did not regret it.

My margarita was not good at all. So bad that I didn't even drink more than half which is just a sin when it comes to expensive cocktails. My husband's chicken sandwich had about as much chicken as a tiny tender strip. He left hungry. I had the steak special. Which had good flavors (as anything covered in cheese would) but if I'm paying $60 for a medium rare steak, it's a shame that it came out medium well. Roasted cauliflower was mid, I make better at home in my air fryer. Service was good but the waitress was pretty pushy with the extras like we were insane for not ordering appetizers and not letting her bring us a glass of 4 roses. Ambiance was fine. But the experience was not worth my money, not even if it was half the cost honestly.

The bar staff was outstanding from start to finish. We had a few different bartenders taking care of us, and each one was attentive, friendly, and great at helping with recommendations. We ordered the New York steak and the Brussels sprouts special. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, and the Brussels sprouts hit that ideal balance--crispy, flavorful, and just right. Everything we had was packed with flavor. The drinks didn't miss either--ice-cold beer and expertly crafted cocktails all around. If you find yourself in Charleston, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend.

The service has been just as good. Friendly staff, attentive, and we've never felt rushed. We were starving when the food came out, so I completely forgot to snap a picture before we started eating. The food felt legitimately high quality, like they're putting real care into the ingredients and preparation. I ordered the steak, and it was flavorful with a really good garlic butter that complemented it perfectly. Juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just how I wanted. The loaded fries were excellent too (maybe a touch salty, but in that addictive way), and they came with this awesome ranch that tied everything together. I got the half order, and let me tell you, it was massive. Easily enough for 3-4 people to share. The mac and cheese was solid as well, creamy and comforting without being over the top. What surprised me most was the value. For the caliber of food and the portions they're serving, the prices were very reasonable. Honestly better than I expected for something this good. Service was on par, if not a bit more professional than you'd usually find at a casual spot like this. Everyone was attentive without being pushy, and it made the whole meal feel smooth. Overall, I'm excited they're here. The Fort feels like a welcome addition. Solid execution on the basics, generous portions, and a vibe that makes you want to come back. If you're in the Charleston area and looking for a good meal without breaking the bank, definitely give it a try. I'll be returning soon. Highly recommended!

They have gluten free options and anything can be made gluten free according to the staff. They also have some vegetarian options. I love burgers, and honestly, it's hard to beat a handmade beyond smashburger. This restaurant currently does not offer another veggie substitute other than the Portobello mushroom. It was good, with the added goat cheese, but would have rather had a burger substitute with mushrooms added on top. The fries are great! Perfectly fried with golden crunch in every bite. The garlic aioli is the perfect dipping sauce. I ordered a ranch side as well and it's good, but the aioli is the best choice in my opinion. Great local restaurant with a burger for everyone.

The french fries were freshly made and delicious, salads looked extremely fresh, and the service was quick with a great attitude.
