Made a deal for a trade. Drove over an hour with two children and was told there would be no issues with trade and purchase. Had a cashiers check made out. Submitted photos and vin of my trade in vehicle. Upon arriving found out the car that we agreed on was having screen and diagnostic issues so we were waiting. Then the sales manager came back and told us our tires were "completely bald" and he couldn't sell it like that. Then proceeded to tell us that it would be an extra $1,000 for the tires. A complete joke. We walked out. The guy was rude, unwilling to further negotiate and absolutely gaslighting us. My husband worked for a tire company and knows a full set of tires is not $1,000. Additionally, the tires are not even bald!! So we wasted 140+ miles of gas, 3 hours of our time to be burned by a greedy sales manager. 0/10. Don't waste your time. read more

My daughter bought a new 2025 Kia from Bob Rohrman, Lafayette, two days ago and drove it home. The ride was very rough and it was discovered that the left wheel was wobbling. Quality apparently is not a strongpoint of Kia or the dealership. We'll see how they handle this. read more

I have had a couple of bad new car dealer service experiences so I get hit with a wave of anxiety whenever I have to take my car in because you just never know how they are going to treat it. That's how I felt before I took my car to Bob Rohrman. However, it was one of, if not the best, service visits I've had. Gavin was very professional and kept me informed the whole time. One thing that could be tweaked is what the 12k mile service package online lists what will be done and how it translates to the actual services performed. It needs some work. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone. I bought a very expensive sorento here. I was in a stressful situation at the time I did not leave to take care of situation which I should of. Instead a bought a car and when I called with concerns no answer was addressed at the time and salesman said he would try to take care of it and we would be in touch. That was two days ago and I have heard nothing yet. Just be aware of how they say things and what they really mean. We were mislead and nothing has been done to rectify it. Another member of the Rohrman Rip-off Group. My experience with the service staff in Lafayette is the same reason I don't take my Infinity to the Rohrman dealership in Ft. Wayne where I live. My daughter attends Purdue and had some issues with her KIA that couldn't wait until she got home. I called Saturday morning and was given an appointment on Monday. She limped the car over there Sunday afternoon. Monday came and went. I called twice for a status and Austin could care less about my situation. They never even pulled the car in the bay the entire day. Tuesday tools around and at least someone called saying they might look at it today. Wednesday rolls around and we finally start talking about parts and the God awful amount of money this is going to cost. By this point, KIA called around for a rental car as my daughter was is need of transportation. Wednesday comes and goes, Thursday comes and goes...we'll call you Friday...comes and goes. No call on Saturday... Monday (a week later) Frankie calls to say the "car is ready and has been since Friday, but we think we called the wrong number to let you know." Over a week of it sitting there with piss pour communication and an insane repair bill, we finally have the car back....but now the airbag light is on and they can't see us for another week... I emailed the GM, Garrett McDonald for some resolution and as of 2 weeks later, still waiting for a reply. Stay far, far away from any Rohrman dealership. read more

Buyer beware of this dealer! We ordered a car in August 2022 for an agreed upon written price with a $500 deposit. We were notified our car was ready for pick up on October 5. We spent over an hour driving the car and being shown the features. We were then presented with a bill of $12,000 over the agreed upon price. The salesman and manager at Bob Rohrman Kia told us it was due to market adjustment which was never mentioned and that the other price meant nothing. Honesty is not the policy here. Go shake the Llama!!!! You heard me, it's a real thing here. I wasn't sure what customers were saying, I decided to go in and check it out for myself. I wasn't planning to buy a car but when I heard customers screaming with laughter. This had to be good!! Is there really a Llama in the store or was I being tricked by family and friends. The atmosphere in this dealership makes it fun and cheerful. Other dealerships wait on you like a herd of cows waiting to MOO you, this dealership wasn't anything like that. The smiles, friendly faces, and personality makes you want to buy more than 1 car. I walked out with only 1, 2021 Kia Stinger GT1, custom leather seats, one of a kind. The employees here are the best that I have ever seen or experienced. They take care of you like you're family. I was skeptical at first being from out of state, but I took a gamble and low and behold it was the best investment ever. What led me to this store was my friend recently bought a Telluride from a salesperson named Gwen. JT told me she's great with her clients and the most exciting part, she got to shake the Llama. This place is a joke. I sold my 2017 Challenger for a car for my son. I was looking at a 2017 Passat and they wouldn't make deal because it was just put on their lot. I test drove and loved it. They pushed a 2015 Passat on me instead. Looked like the same car so i said sure. I walked out to car and checked it out. Looked good. So I got it. Well car had a tire pressure light on and they couldn't fix. They told me to take to Volkswagen dealer in Gurnee. I drove off the lot and the underneath was making a bang noise. A week goes by and I finally get into the shop. They tightened a ball joint allegedly and front end was now out of alinement. They refuse to call me back or give me parts to fix. Ricky Perez (General Manager), Kevin Curtis (Meat Head), Chris Lindville are all jokes. They are unprofessional and don't care about the cars they sale. They sale crap cars and don't email anyone back. Pathetic. I do not recommend buying anything from these guys. read more

It is no surprise all of the reviews of this place so far are one stars - as everyone else has said, they are liars and crooks. I went here last week because I had an outstanding recall on my vehicle, something none of the previous owners had claimed, and I was happy to discover it was a part that I had already known was bad and had been getting ready to replace. It being a recall concerning safety, I would get it done for free, unlike the $50+ I would have spent to buy the part myself and put it on, so I was pleased about that. So I show up at the dealer, and my having waaaaay too much trust in people, I sat down in the lounge while they worked on my vehicle, i.e. I was somewhere I could not see my vehicle being worked on. Next thing you know, the sleazy salesman comes over asking me if I had recently had work done on my vehicle at some other place, and my thinking he was asking about in concerns to the recall I had come for, I had said I had been in that area myself, trying to replace it, but had failed at the first go around (due to being sent a wrong/cheap Chinese knock-off). But then he clarifies that he means the driveaxle transmission area, which surprises me, because I am not sure why they would be looking at that - at any rate, I say, again, no, I was down there myself a few months ago, putting in a new drive axle and transmission seal. Now it's his turn to look a little surprised - because he probably wasn't expecting to be dealing with anyone with a little bit of mechanical aptitude - but he goes on about there being a problem there. I ask to take a look, and they spin a yarn about the driveaxle having not been seated in there properly (plausible), something about it being bent (the guys at Aamco I lately took it to said no to that), and the seal having a leak (not likely). I only say that the driveaxle not being seated right was plausible because I did have trouble putting it in myself initially, but I had not noticed any leaks, in all the time since then, and certainly not of the caliber they were trying to pass it off as. Just the previous weekend, I had it up on jacks to replace all of my brakepads, and I saw no evidence of any leaks. And yet when I take it to a stealership, this traumatic leak all of a sudden just happens. Yeah, sure. I humour them, though, asking how much it would cost to replace the seal (since the axle, they should be able to just push back in). And they want about $197 for that. Sure, it is not the easiest job in the world, replacing the seal, spoken from experience, but I think I would rather just buy the $10 seal myself and replace it. As they did not even have the replacement for the recall in stock, I hightailed it out of there, and I made sure when I came back just a couple days later, I stood by the observation window, watching every thing they did, so that there would not be any more mysterious problems with the car. They seemed to have lost their previous candour from my former visit, now that they had to live up to their brand name's standards and do something for free - wasn't even given a "have a good day," "thank you, come again," as I went out the door. I suppose if they cannot sucker you out of your money and get that sweet commission dough, you are of no value to them. But lo and behold, they hadn't even bothered to push the axle back in (of which I feel sure they had dislocated it) because it began to leak like a dickens everywhere (which again, wasn't happening before). Then, just this past weekend, it spilled a couple quarts of its guts just by my lifting it up on a jack to replace the transmission seal (which, once more, it wasn't doing before when I was doing some work the prior weekend). That much fluid certainly was from the CV axle being halfway out, not the transmission seal they wanted to sell to me. Long story short - stay far, far away from these people, not unless you like being scammed out of your hard-earned and frugal cash. They depend on you not knowing anything about cars and will possibly jeopardise your car and your life in it just to try to get an extra sale. read more

The result of a local quasi-monopoly is terrible service. If all the Lafayette dealerships (well, almost .... ) are Bob Rohrman, and they all behave the same way, the locals start thinking it's normal. It. Is. Not. They all give you one number over the phone to reel you in, and from then on it's the usual car sales circus. The offer is suddenly 100 Dollars higher, and they insist on running your credit score, knowing that if they already ran it, you will be reluctant to go somewhere else because the more you check the score, the more it will drop. And good luck threatening to go next door, because that's also Bob Rohrman. Do yourself a favor: drive the extra hour to Indy, there is real competition. Stay away from any Bob Rohrman dealership. I inquired about a vehicle they had and a Mitchell Evans responded promptly. Shortly thereafter, I located and purchased a car from a dealership much closer. The emails from Mitchell continued and I unsubscribed several times. Finally, and because unsubscribing was unsuccessful, I responded back to an email "Quit sending me these emails!". Mitchell's lack of any kind of customer service skills shone brightly as he advised me he is not an order taker and that I would catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. I understand my exclamation point was a little much but his condescending and unhelpful email responses were maddening and unprofessional. He told me he couldn't do anything about it and that I should just block the sender. He repeatedly told me that my original email was unacceptable and that he was not an order taker. Guess what buddy, you are an order taker and an extremely lousy one. Dealing with the public is not your forte' and you should consider a different career if you can't handle an upset customer. read more

Please be very careful of this dealership. They do flat out lie to you. Tyler Headdy fully admitted he was wrong and did say the wrong things after the fact. In my book that is a lie. I was paying cash for a car and I was told no need to do a credit check. But what did they do? They did a hard credit pull on me anyway for no reason at all. I can't get anyone but the salesman to say a word to me on why they did that. It's obvious now they have sold the car there is no need to worry about the customer. Please watch yourself with them. We have had Kia service our Saturn since the Saturn dealer closed and used to get fantastic service. Service has deteriorated over the years. My last visit will be my last ever. I asked them to look at my brakes, because they seemed not right, while doing the oil change. They let me know at the end of the appointment that my brakes were "rusted and leaking" but they couldn't replace them. They said another business "might" be able to fix them, but provided no information beyond the name of the other business. The name of this other business wasn't even in my service report, and I had to write it down. No details on how to contact them or offer to confirm that they could fix my brakes. I asked where the other business was and was told "I don't know," so I replied that I would Google it (since, clearly, I can use the Internet, I just thought he could tell me what city it was in). He responded, "You don't need to be rude" and since I'd already paid, I walked away and drove off. Turns out, Midas could fix the brakes, and they were more serious than Kia led me to believe. So the service department at Kia let me drive off with unsafe brakes and no plan to remedy the situation. This tells me that Bob Rohrman Kia is no longer concerned with my safety.
