I called about an LG refrigerator I wish I had never bought, but that horse is out of the barn. I thought the cooling section was not running cool enough (the freezing section is (barely) okay). After explaining my observations, Steve explained some things about temperature variation in refrigerators and indicated it was probably doing the best it could. No repair would improve performance. He said he could come and look at it, but that would cost me a $90 service call and probably yield nothing. We discussed the situation a bit more and I decided to take his phone advice, rearrange the food in that section, and see what happens. I also told him that if ANY appliance in this house needed attention, he is the first person I will call. He has earned my loyalty and he has never put a hand on anything here! Directly, at least. When Steven was on his way I received his location via text so I knew his exact time of arrival. So we were off to a great start. I had a washer that stopped working, an error code came up that indicated broken door lock. The new door assembly would be very expensive. Otkay took apart the door and told me it was fine; that digital error codes can often be wrong when the mother board is going. The spinner basket was off balance too, so he told me to get a new one. Even recommended some good brands and suggestions where to shop. He could have charged me allot to replace door lock assembly and fix off balance basket. I appreciate his integrity, and I will definitely call him again.

We decided to have it checked out and then make a decision. Scheduling the appointment was easy and the woman who took my call was friendly, knowledgeable and, as importantly, laughed at my stupid jokes. The tech showed up about 10 minutes early and diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes. The cold water valve inside the machine was leaking and would have to be replaced. The tech suggested also replacing the hot water valve. I agreed to the price and he had it repaired inside of 30 minutes. He also checked out the drum bearings and the pump. The tech was a great guy who cleaned up the inside of the machine and made sure everything was the way he found it. I couldn't be happier.
