Worst dealership experience ever. My wife and I were looking for another X5 to replace her older X5. We found a CPO X5 that had everything she wanted. All these guys had to do was basically perform at poor to marginal level and they would've made the sale as my wife's mind was made up already that she was going to buy this car. I called the dealership and spoke to the sales manager (I am sorry but at this point, 3 months after the fact, I forgot the names) to verify that the car was still available. He said it was and we drove down to basically buy it. We arrived it my old Shelby (looks like maybe a 20,000 dollar car to those who don't know old cars) which is worth more than anything they currently had in the showroom. I was wearing shorts and a t shirt and my wife was dressed casually as well. She's an attorney who looks much younger than she is. Perhaps our appearance and my old car turned them off I asked for the sales manager and he didn't even get up to greet me. He sat in his office and said someone else would take care of me. We were then passed off to a pleasant blonde lady maybe in her mid to late 20s which was fine with us until 2 minutes later we were passed off again to an African American gentleman who told us he would help (help us turned out to be quite the exaggeration). Later I was told he is no longer employed there. This guy had zero and I mean zero knowledge of this car. The few questions we asked him went totally unanswered and with an attitude that seemed as if we were wasting his time. The test ride ended and we were both amazed at the complete lack of professionalism at this dealer (for the record over the past 30 years I have probably purchased 35 new vehicles, bikes and cars) and as stated at the top this was by far the worst. However it was so bad it was somewhat entertaining. We were treated from the get go like 2 kids shopping at some used car dealership in the valley with credit scores of 500! Never would I expect this from a BMW dealer. In all fairness I did speak with the blonde lady who was supposed to help us during a follow up call. She was very pleasant and apologized for us getting passed off from her. Had we initially dealt with her to begin with they would've made a sale. Speaking with others (people employed by BMW) my experience is not uncommon at this dealership. For the record I'm currently at the 1000 Oaks Auto Mall killing time waiting for the first service to be completed on the vehicle which we purchased a few days after our Bob Smith fiasco. Well usually we had great experience while we are in mid of getting a car. Whether initial calls to sales person or in-person at dealership. But once deal is done, experience won't remain same. But that is not a case with Bob Smith BMW. For last 15 years I am leasing BMW from different dealerships around my area last car I bought back in Nov 2019 from Bob Smith. It was already a great, hassle-free and quick experience I ever had and total credit goes to Andrew Synesiou. Recently, I had to change tires and I didn't wanted to drive that far, but I found that my car tires have lock and I could have to find key in trunk or in glove box. I did call Andrew on Saturday and he assured he will call me back on Monday. Based on my previous experience, I had no great hope. I went to near by dealership and got my issue resolved. Now, I got call from Andrew Synesiou on Monday evening and I was totally surprised, it never happened in last 15 years that some from dealership calls back to help out. You have a problem in your shop. I have bough Two COO BMW from Crevier and BH and never experienced such rude, customer unfriendly manager that you have name Naser. The irony is the first person i spoke to he was nice but soon into the conversation he asked me to hold so i talk to a used sales car manager. The worst bmw dealership I've been to so far. I come from a luxury retail brand myself, and never have I ever experienced client service like this nor would I ever treat a client like this. This was my second time this past month walking into this dealership having the same exact experience as last time. First, I walk into the front of the dealership, the front desk does not even say hello. I then make my way to the showroom and am looking at an X6 and about 3 different salesman were looking but none even came to say hello. I was very serious about buying a car. I then walked outside and was looking at all of the cars outside to see if anyone would approach and no one did. Within 15 minutes not one single person said hello or even asked if I needed any help. They asked for $189 to diagnose.. they called few hours later, telling me that the display is faulty and needed to be replaced with a new one... overall cost of $2750. I decided to check if I can find a used part and repair somewhere else. They returned the car ( washed) and I saw that everything is back and working. That means that even if there is a problem.. ( loose connection?) the unit is still working ! ( cost of the part was $1900 out of the $2750). Beware of the service Dept! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. My wife leased a car here 3 years ago and got a horrible deal. Salesmen are crooks and you should always do your hw and fight for your price regardless of what stupidity they say (that's her fault for not doing her homework and walking away). That aside though, total image protection which BMW promotes, is in bed with, and the sales rep will LIE to you about is a rip-off scam. First of all, BMW has to make it clear to their customers that this is a 3rd party rip-off insurance, which they do not. They must also make it clear what exactly this insurance is for, they claim it as an insurance to cover damages so you don't get charged for things at the time of the lease return. However on total image insurance website they clearly state that this insurance is to be used during your lease not at the time of return. The details of what it covers are also ridiculous. You are prepaying and over paying for minor dings and scratches, and if you wait until your lease end (usually unknowingly that this insurance is not for that) you will get the run around and end up having to return your lease and get charged for damages. That's another thing, it will take weeks of calling and emails to get an email response from anyone. Considering the supposed luxury brand you are buying/leasing, BMW falls very short of expectations and this was probably our last one. I can't wait to drop off this thing at the dealer. I was at Mercedes last week and bought my first Mercedes. My family and friends have been telling us to go this route for a while and to forget about BMW. Honestly, I think the Mercedes is a better car (this of course is a personal choice) but even more important, the service at Mercedes is more along the lines of what you'd expect at a luxury dealer. Great BMW dealer with top noch service. I stopped by Bob Smith BMW after I was itching for an i3 and working in the area for the day. I called, set an appointment to test drive the i3 on the same day, and did so. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable (Cole was a great resource). I decided I wanted the i3, but had to wait a few days to get the one I wanted. So I set an appointment to come back. In the meantime, however, I found the itch growing stronger and didn't wan't to have to drive west on a day off so I located another BMW dealer (a bit closer to home) with the car and bought it there. The experience at the other dealer was nowhere near my experience at Bob Smith. In addition to this, Cole reached out a few months later and checked in with me to ask about how I liked the car, set an appointment for me to go over some of the technology with a BMW genius, and discussed options regarding servicing it at Bob smith despite not having purchased the car there. I loved this. From the front desk staff, to the BMW Genius, and the sales specialists everyone that I met truly takes pride in servicing the client. First it was the breaks , it took a while to prove to them that it was making squeaky noises like an old break ( by taking a video clip ). Then it was the rattling noises inside the back seat . My family has leased over 25 CARS with this dealership alone, but we will NEVER do another transaction with them again and if I could give 0 stars I would. In the last couple of years, management has changed and so has their staff.. Bob Smith no longer cares about relationships with their customers and would rather defraud their customer and lose long-term relationships then to honor their promises they make to their customers. I was conned by a salesman at this dealership when I turned in my lease on an X5 and purchased a preowned Mercedes G-550 from them. This was my first time dealing with this salesman and I had gone over miles and lost a key on my X5 but he sold me on the G-550, and said that if I buy that car, he will take care of the invoice for the overage miles and lost key. We made a deal, I signed the contract for my new car and left happy - until I received the invoice in the mail for the overage miles and lost key. I thought this had to be a mistake, but over the past year I spoke with the salesman, his managers, BMW financial, and the GM of Bob Smith but they decided that they rather lose a long-time customer over a few thousand dollar invoice than to honor their word and take care of it like i was promised! This review is regarding my overall EV experience at Bob Smith BMW. I have an i3 Rex (my 5th BMW) and I'd been coming to Bob Smith for all my car needs (even though I live closer to Rusnak) however the EV experience at Bob Smith is abysmal. Their fast charger is consistently blocked by cars on display for sale and their staff are very poorly educated on what chargers they have where in their building (and not super friendly or eager to help when you drive up in an i3... a very different experience from when I drive up in my M3.) Furthermore, they do not participate in the Mobility Program that gives i3 owners access to petrol loaner cars. I would recommend going to Rusnak if you own or are looking for an i3. They are much more knowledgeable and their Fast Charger is right up front in customer parking. And getting a mobility loaner is easy and they are good about accommodating special requests (like if you need an X3 or X5.) read more

Ruby is a way more interested in chatting with clients than in doing her job: had to wait about 30 minutes while she processed 2 loaner cars before me. When my turn came, I told her that I didn't have time, and she completed my transaction in less than 5 minutes. Later on, when I picked my car up it was absolutely filthy. The best thing that Brian Avelar ("Service Advisor") was able to come up with was "next time you're in the area, your car wash will be on us!" And on top of that the sales manager ( Nasir) and I use the word manager very loosely to describe him, wasn't helpful and didn't even counter when I said you guys are more expensive than what I've been quoted. All dealerships ALWAYS counter as they never give their best price right off the bat and try to gain you as a customer and this is the opposite of what he did. On Thursday June 2nd I took my wife's BMW 430 to Bob Smith BMW service department for tire service. At the time of purchasing this car from Bob Smith, we purchased as well tire warranty. so few times we had flat tire, we took the car to this dealership and we were getting great service except the last 2 times. But this time the service advisor Robert Meyer with kind of bad attitude is asking Me that since 2020 we're bringing our car to Bob Smith only for tire service and why not other services ??? 1st of all we bought few cara from this place. 2nd we bought the tire warranty when we bought this 430i from them. we live about 4 miles from Bob Smith and I work just few blocks from Sherman Oaks ( Center BMW ). I take our car mostly to Sherman Oaks BMW ,, but because we bought the tire from Bob Smith, we thought we have to take it to them, but now we know that we can take it anywhere else we won't bugging the Bob Smith Service department. I think this is customer's choice where to take their car for service but it's unacceptable that the service advisor asking the customers WHY they bring the car for just tire service. We just wanted to share our last experience with others to let them know that if you take your business to this place,, please think twice or at least don't let Robert Meyer helping you. read more
